Mar 15,2024Incredibly slow solicitors, correspondence is awful. Held up house sale significantly and then have just done the same on a transfer of equity. Do not use them. As you can see below, they don’t even recognise me as a person involved in one of their matters.

Mar 15,2024I've used various other solicitors for conveyancing before and have to say the service provided by Glover Priest is the best i've experienced. The main difference is the fantastic level of communication you receive once your house is sold subject to contract. They are also extremely responsive to emails and easy to contact by phone. I would use them again for all my legal requirements.

Mar 13,2024Not being experienced in buying properties, I was on the whole happy with how efficiently the process was dealt with. Just 2 niggles - 1. trying to enter information online I found a bit difficult at times (probably due to my advancing years) especially the photo/ID, but I was able to go to the offices and get it sorted out. 2. The expedition fee I believed was only to be paid if the exchange and completion dates were more than 7 days apart. I was asked over the phone when I wanted to complete and I replied that there was 'no rush'. It was suggested by the person at Glover and Priest 7 days from exchange. I naively assumed this was ok but it was not pointed out that it needed to be 7 WORKING days to avoid the expedition fee. It was a bit annoying to find out afterwards that an extra 2 working days would have avoided the fee. Perhaps in future it could be mentioned when arranging the completion date and not just point out when I queried it later that it was 'in the terms and conditions'!

I have to say that both myself and wife were very impressed by the service given. If we sent an email we would have a reply very quickly and likewise when we called the office.
