Dec 11,2024Communication was non-existent, I had to constantly chase updates through email and phone, all of which were simply ignored. Lost count of the amount of times messages had been left with reception agreeing someone would call me back for this to never materialise. Took over 4 months to complete a refinance of a property with no other party involved!!! Valuation report was allowed to expire twice and Asad needed to negotiate with the underwriters for further extension. When we eventually had someone respond to an email, the excuse for the delay at the time was we were waiting on searches to be returned - £50 was advanced to GloverPriest to allow searches to be procured 12 weeks prior to this email!! Currently, my attempts at communication with the company have been ignored for the past few weeks as I try to query the fact I have been transferred £220 less than the completion statement I received and approved. Absolutely shocking service from Julia, Asad and the team. Would not recommend to anyone. I chose this firm knowing their quote was on the cheaper end of the scale. I thought as long as a basic level of service is delivered, this will be fine for my situation since I have a very straightforward case (low value refinance with no other parties involved). Unfortunately, the service delivered has fallen very far short of the basic service level expected and has been a terrible experience. You get what you pay for, I guess (or not, in this case).

Dec 09,2024Missed 3 (yes I said 3) completion dates following catastrophic processes causing both our mortgage offer and surveys to expire. Completion has taken over 4 months (and neither the buyer nor seller are part of a chain). Their shocking handling of every part of this case from start to finish has been negligent. They cannot file paperwork in any timely fashion. They lie about paperwork or emails sent and received. Worst of all they have taken no responsibility for the higher rate mortgage they forced by not filing paperwork nor additional survey costs and have deliberately avoided our every attempt to escalate matters to senior team members for complaint escalation. Even our mortgage brokers have made complaints in the handling of this case and will never recommend this firm again

Dec 05,2024Poor, poor, poor service from start to finish. I would never recommend anybody to use these solicitors for any matter. Especially if you want it to be done at any speed. Took over 6 months to move house with no chain at either end of the sale. As well as passing the buck when it came to key responsibilities during the conveyances process. They also didn’t call me once off their own back, it was always me calling them. When we expressed our extreme dissatisfaction and anger towards the treatment we received, we were told that we were welcome to go elsewhere and restart the process elsewhere, rather than taking accountability for their actions. We were also told that some money was lodged by the seller for us as compensation for the delay because we threatened to pull out of sale. Money was then deducted from our bill to the solicitors without total consent rather than us receiving the money during completion. Please don’t forget that lunch time is at any time of the day. I really hope that the solicitors don’t reply to this review in the same ‘copy and paste’ way they reply to ALL the other low star reviews posted.

Absolute shocking service from Julia, Asad and Safa; constantly avoiding calls, taking two weeks to respond to emails, failing to provide updates and constantly spouting lies! 4 weeks it took for them to ask for me to re instruct due to different property! 5 weeks waiting for release of funds from lender, when I called lender they were in fact waiting for documentation from my solicitor - after being told by both Julia and Asad they were chasing the lender!! Shame from the other reviews seems like a better service but Tamworth office are shocking and can’t even call it a service!

The property world was brand new to me and I had no idea where to start! Stephen was always so patient, responsive, and supportive throughout the process and never failed to answer any of my 101 questions fired at him. I would 100% recommend Stephen and his team and rest assured you will receive excellent service and expertise! As of yesterday, I am officially a property owner and I couldn’t be more thankful to Stephen, Nadine and Paige. I will definitely be using this conveyancing team again in the future!!

Where very on top of it I called them so regularly and they had an answer for every question they worked extremely well between the 3 of them to put any doubts of mine to rest. They came recommended from friends and family members, can't fault them at all. Even when the other solicitors were dragging there heels the team carried on, pushing the get answers. 100% would/ will use again if the time arises in the future.

Nov 19,2024If I could give 0 stars then I would choose to. Whilst the work was being completed and the house sale was being progressed, the communication was awful. I never spoke to the solicitor assigned to us directly until the completion day when she rang to tell us that the house was legally ours. Every other dealing on the phone was either an unsuccessful call to someone on reception or a conversation with the legal assistant. Emails were not answered until they had been chased multiple times, often via phone. I work in financial services myself and if I were giving the level of service that Glover Priest were, we would have an awful lot of complaints and unhappy clients on our hands. Glover Priest were recommended by a friend but they provided such terrible service. I would strongly advise against anyone that was thinking of using them.

With a quick visit to the office, Stephen Johnson quickly sorted out the only problem with the Legal Bricks online conveyancing questionnaire which with one unanswered question was showing up as us not having completing the questionnaire,

Poor communication, we are are 3 months into 2 house purchases ( no chains ), and they have only just started reviewing the searches, I have chased and asked for people to call back, no one does. I have asked to raise a complaint and it is ignored. We should of completed by now or at least had a date agreed upon. I have requested a SAR also, guess what nothing back. Something is seriously wrong here, perhaps someone will contact me after leaving this review, if not the next step will be the law society. Disgusting service !!!!!

Throughout the process they were on the ball and we always got a quick response. When our sale fell through and then resold they were straight back onto the case. We were so happy with how stress free and smooth it all was. The level of communication was fantastic. A super team and we will definitely use them again!
