Good Life Sorted provides affordable home help services and companionship to elderly people, enabling them to live independently at home. We connect friendly local 'Helpers' who have been vetted, trained and insured with older people to provide a range of services including cleaning and laundry, shopping and errands, meal preparation, medication reminders and transport. We currently operate across Dorset and Hampshire in the south of England.
I recently contacted Good Life Sorted as I have been looking for some in-home support. I spoke with Charley who was so caring and helpful. I can’t recommend this company enough. You are treated like a person. Thank you, Charley.
This company has made a huge difference to my life. Being disabled and having adhd means I struggle with my home organisation and I get exhausted due to medication and sleep issues. So, having someone who is so well matched to me, here once a week to do the basics I need doing in the house, just makes me feel so much better
I so look forward to visits from my helper to be able to go out for a coffee and little walk. It is therapy for me and my helper too!
The relationship with my customers is very rewarding, satisfying and of mutual benefit - I know I am being helpful by attending to some of the tasks my customers struggle to do alone, but the conversations, laughter and companionship we share make for time well spent together. The team at GLS are always efficient, willing to help with any queries, and are constantly updating and evolving systems taking the Helpers and Customers views into account. Thanks to GLS for providing a valued, professional service which has enabled me to build good community friendships and purpose within my local neighbourhood.
The help we recieve is excellent. Friendly, trustworthy and mostly having social interaction.
Good Life Sorted were recommended to us by our Alzheimer and Dementia Support Worker as a good resource for my elderly parents. Dad has Alzheimers and mum has physical disabilities, but both were extremely reluctant to receive any professional help at home and had previously rejected all offers and suggestions of carers or any other type of support, even after a few falls at home resulting in hospital admissions. This was becoming quite a worry for the family. Our Good Life Sorted Helper has been an absolute godsend since she started a year ago. She understood mum and dad straight away and took time to get to know them and understand their wants and needs at home. She let them set the pace and gain confidence in having her in the house and she is now a very welcomed and valued part of my parents’ lives. She is caring, patient, extremely reliable and goes above and beyond to provide my parents with any help they need during her visit. Her weekly visits for a chat, to pick up shopping and collect a fish and chip lunch have made a massive difference to my parents’ quality of life and they both look forward to Tuesdays when they see her. Our Helper is very positive in her attitude and will always offer to help out if we have an unexpected crisis. She always acts with the utmost professionalism and communicates really well with the family. Her genuine interest in my parents and her calm, caring nature has endeared her to them, and they often express how very lucky they feel to have her in their lives. We as a family also feel extremely lucky to have our Good Life Sorted Helper as we have someone we trust who is checking in on our parents every week, someone we know gives our parents the practical support they need at home and someone who also brings some independence and happiness into their lives.
I have worked with GLS for two years as a helper. If I have ever had any issues with a client, the office team have always gotten back to me quickly with an answer. Helpers are self employed but I felt more supported and valued in this role than I ever have working for a company directly. Also my clients and there family's have never had a bad word to say about any aspect of the help/service they receive from GLS. In fact its usually "I wish we had known about you sooner"
Being self employed but with Good Life Sorted has been the most rewarding job that I'd wish I'd have done years ago. They are supportive and professional. Managing your own customers and your hours is simple using their app. Additional training and help is always available. Being a helper with Good Life Sorted I'd recommend 100%.
A first class company did exactly as they promised. Jeffre gibson.
My GoodlifeSorted career not only helps me but gives a purpose for living
Rachel provides me with practical assistance and very good, intelligent conversational company. She is invariably, reliably punctual and scrupulous in what she does. Rachel has been with me now for approximately 6-8 months, one day per fortnight.
Helpers are positive and encouraging, and responsive to the needs of clients, and ease the problems of daily life for those who need such assistance.
I am delighted with the support for my godmother. Donna is a very personable young woman who has a bright and cheery personality which is just what is needed for someone housebound. We have excellent communication which is very reassuring for me too. This company clearly puts excellent communication with clients and families as a high priority.
Working with Good life sorted has to be the best roll yet! I pride myself in helping people to live longer independently at home. The office staff are always extremely helpful prompt and supportive. Training is offered regularly, which is really useful, and I love working with this company.
Our Mums good life sorted helper comes twice a week for shopping trips, outings, and companionship, she is kind, patient and supportive. Our Mum was reluctant to have a helper for a long time but as soon as they met the helper put my Mum at ease and has fitted in really well.
Becoming a Good Life Helper has provided me with opportunities to work alongside such wonderfully individual and interesting people. Our approach to scheduling enables helpers and customers to establish positive ongoing relationships, with identified timings that work well for both. Working closely with our customers provides flexibility and a true understanding of individual need. Although I am able to plan my own working hours and distance travelled etc. The Good Life Sorted team are always on hand to support me, my customers and their families, ensuring positive outcomes for all. I am really proud to be playing a role in an organisation as inspirational as Good Life Sorted. Making a real difference is the company focus and the rewards are many fold for everyone involved.
We rely on Pam, who looks after us for three days each week, for an hour - she is multi-skilled, dynamic, but also a good listener and a good story-teller. She is indispensable! Valerie and Cliff need more than five stars to give her. Corinne comes for one hour a week, but also covered for Pam when she was on holiday. She is companiable, a good story-teller, humourous, thorough in what she does. She has valuable insights into Parkinson's Disease. Her Saturday visits enrich our weekend.
I have experienced this agency to be reliable, supportive and accountable whilst being registered with them as a helper. They genuinly care about their customers.
Must be a lot of luck in who you have and meet and greet may appear to go ok but did not work for us. Very disappointing, at a time of stress when a relative needs assistance you look for help and support. Did not attend for the time logged, rushed in and out as quickly as possible. I expect someone will reply and say we did not pay for the visit, we were offered to meet another helper, true, but that is not the point. Lost three weeks on this, the help was really needed and ended up feeling very let down.
