May 22,2024The person who came to hang stuff in our house was pleasant and did good work. Handy as a service, however, I would never use again. The work took an hour and I was charged for two. The app / website gives no information. For example, after my handyman was assigned, I could not view anything about him or see if there were previous positive reviews. I have used TaskRabbit and will never use anything but now... TaskRabbit would automatically adjust the charge based on the amount of time the work took, it allows me to select someone based on reviews and my preferences. Another thing handy.com does not do which I think is criminal - is that they dont tell the customer what the handyman is actually making out of the money you are charged. My handyman shocked me when he said how little he makes an hour - and it was very concerning. However, there was no method to determine how much he was actually making. Also, does the tip go to the person or does handy take a cut of that too? Replying to Estefany: Why do I need to call to know what percentage of the charge actually goes to the person doing the work? Just answer the question so others reading this can know.

May 22,2024We were VERY happy with the delivery/installation. The Handyman app was useless. The man called me to tell me his ETA. Very nice, professional. Could not have asked for better service from the repair person. In the future if we purchase again, please just give us the information straight without the app.

May 21,2024I purchased a 8x10 outdoor shed from BJ's and booked Handy through BJ's website for installation. There was heavy rain on the day of installation so the handyman called and told me to call Handy and reschedule. i was given another appointment that was only 2 days later [i was impressed]. Two hours before the appointment, i received an email telling that Handy is rescheduling as no professional was available and the installation date was moved to 2 days later which was a weekend. On that scheduled day only one handyman showed up and the other did not. The guy who showed up left after 15 mins saying this was a 2 ppl job. I called and asked for a refund which has not been issued even after 2 weeks. I could give zero stars but the website would not let me write a review without giving at least one star. Don't book Handy ! Find a local handyman or call your neighbors/friends, ask them to help you and throw a beer and a pizza.

May 18,2024Only one pro showed up for my first appointment for a two man job. The pro would not work on anything. I contacted support and they weren’t able to schedule anything for another 48 hours. They assured me the next time both pros would arrive. Well, it’s appointment time and one one showed up and no one can get ahold of the second one.
