Probably the worst support, and the quality of their service is below average. Even their ordering page works one time out of five. The quality of their bare metal is horrific. You will constantly be dealing with networking and SSD issues. If you have budgets - stay away from Hostkey.

Horrible service, horrible UI, horrible support. Probably one of the worst supports and the UI of ordering servers. They can't even understand that people sometimes need more than 1 server. If you need multiple servers you have to go through their horrible UI over and over again for every server. Support is useless.

I moved to HOSTKEY a few months ago, and I can say that it was one of the most seamless migration experiences. Everything went smoothly: the control panel is intuitive and user-friendly, and the documentation provides clear examples, making it easy to find the necessary info. I’d like to highlight the support team - they respond quickly, although sometimes the replies feel a bit templated. However, there are no major complaints, as all issues are resolved promptly. The service stability is also top-notch. I haven’t encountered any downtime so far. Overall, I’m completely satisfied and can definitely recommend it! 🚀

I had a positive experience with Hostkey Marketplace and AI chatbot (on-prem). The process of ordering preinstalled apps from marketplace is very clear and handy. Ai chatbot was also ordered being pre installed on a server. It has saved me a lot of time.

I bought some VPS machines from them, and what a terrible experience, the first VPS was supposed to be in Finland however every IP locator shows the location as Germany. the second one was late deployment they promised 5-30 minutes but they never delivered a Windows server in less than 3 hours

Updated on 7 Jan: they issued the refund in two working days, also mentioned that they have fixed the KYC process, which is good. ------ Cannot create a new instance without KYC, but even after KYC is finished successfully, and their system shows "Verified account", still cannot create new instances, with error: "order_instance request failed: EQ/order_instance: new orders for TR are disabled for your account, please proceed with KYC verification".

Here I leave my review of this provider. I find that I have paid for a service of 300 euros, which is not a small amount, and it turns out that they do not attend to me until January 3rd, they say that the payment is not confirmed. I have sent them I don't know how many tickets with proof and references of their payment systems as if it is confirmed, but the customer service team tells me that they cannot help me until January 3rd. I am supposed to have bought an Instant service, a lie, because I have paid for more than 24 hours and look, I am without service, I feel cheated. I write in the chat and they do not attend to me until January 3rd either, nothing. In other words, my money is lost, when I have more than confirmed that they have received it and they do not give me the service. I claim that if it is so, I do not want the service, I need it for Monday, which I have contracted 48 hours or more in advance. Well, they tell me the same thing about the refund, etc., etc., that it will be on January 3rd. In other words, the service is shameful, it is not 24/7 support as they sell it and the truth is, being a client as I have been a few months ago with other servers for a year paying for it, the fact that they treat me like this does not seem normal to me at all. Edit as of today, January 3, 2025, I still have no response from support and I find myself with 300 euros lost at the moment, no one answers me in support. They told me that the 3rd was the first opportunity for the billing department to be attended to after noon and no one gives any signs of life. I have an email from the payment provider confirming that they have received the payment on 12/28/24. So I still find myself with my money lost today. Another Edit. Now support tells me that the manager is not there and that they cannot help me, but if it was the first opportunity on the 3rd to be helped? Well, the department has already closed and it will not be there until Monday. Lies, this sounds like a scam to me. Edit 6 January: Perfect. Today, the 6th, I am complaining again. According to what the girl in the chat told me, Billing & Sales was no longer available on the 3rd, so I have been complaining here since the first hour. Hostkey support has responded, stating that I will be assisted at the first opportunity during business hours from Billing & Sales. I have already received that response in the ticket like 15 times each time I try to complain about something here. In other words, I get the feeling that they are not going to assist me today either, and that is when I will declare this company a total scam. Edition + day 6 January: After trying all morning to get them to attend to my problem, without success, they will attend to me during working hours, but when do they work? Because since December 28th, when I paid for a service that was not provided to me for 313 euros, I have been claiming the service and now I am already claiming my money and always the same answer: ""Dear Client, Your request has been forwarded to the Sales&Billing department for further processing and will be addressed at the first opportunity within the working hours. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.""" I reply to him saying what are the hours? Because I have been complaining every day since the 28th. And automatically the same answer. So you can make up your own mind about what HOSTKEY does to people. I now have 313 euros stolen by this company and they have not answered me since December 28th, with proof from the payment provider support that the payment was confirmed on the afternoon of the 28th and that they have the money. January 7th Edition: We are still the same without any result, writing to the chat and to support and no one answers me. I continue to update the review as I have more information, but for the moment there is no sign of life from Billing since December 28th, they are on vacation according to New Year's support but that was on the 1st or the 2nd, as of today, the 7th, look how I am still without my money and without my service. I update the support chat response: ""Most likely, the response will be received on January 9, because not all employees started working"" Now they tell me that they will be back on the 9th to assist me. At this rate, we will be leaving for next year. Day 9: I m still the same, writing since 7:00 UTC as they told me in the chat on the 7th and nobody answers, nobody pays attention to me or anything, I clearly think that it is a company that is scamming because this is already taking the piss out of a person and more so with evidence since December 28 that I have paid them for the service. Today, day 9, no service, no attention from Sales, Billing and worst of all without my money 313 Euros stole by HOSTKEY. I am still waiting for a response today but i highly doubt that I will have answers after everything that has happened these days. Scams

I am a Spanish coder working in France on a short project contract basis. I went to register at Hostkey and it was rejected because "my IP has to match your phone number". So, if I want to register, I have to take the train back to Spain or purchase AND keep a contract French number at 20 euros extra a month. Then if I register with the French number and move to Germany, the system will detect that I am at a different address and will ask me to confirm with my phone number, but ops, my Phone number was then French and now I am in Germany, so you can't log on to your own account because surely you are a fraudster. In the EU there are millions of people working or studying in a different country than their own and because there are zero roaming costs., it makes ZERO sense to get a new telephone number for every country you are in. If you are a businessman and travel across Europe, according to hostkey you must have as many phone numbers as countries you happen to be in. I was insulted in my intelligence at their saying "we need to see that your phone number matches your IP or else you are a fraudster. This is the most obnoxious, insulting, hostile policy I have ever come across. REPLY TO HOSTKEY'S ANSWER: No, I cannot accept any part of your writing for the following reasons: 1. The payment procedures everywhere in the EU are in line with the standards which make sure the person who pays is the one who requested the service. When I use my credit card, I am automatically taken to my bank online where I have to log on, enter the code and confirm the payment. That is, it doesn't matter if anyone steals my credit card, he won't be able to make any payment, besides I get an SMS to my phone for every payment made. This is the definition of "know your customer". 2. You manipulate the definition of know your customer to suit it to your procedures, but that is not what "know your customer" means. 3. While Contabo are horrid when it comes to servers and technical performance, they are based in Germany and I was not subject to this procedure of having my IP to match my phone number.

Oh problems at every turn. Reinstalling takes hours instead of 5-30 minutes. It is not possible to log in to the server, as the password to the server is sometimes sent to you via email, sometimes not! Support is useless. She never solved anything. Reinstalling the server often gets stuck and ruins your whole day's work. Sometimes the server will reinstall itself, wiping out your backups and years of effort! This is not servers this is HAZARD!
