What is the point of the useless piece of office equipment? Again, I cannot persuade it JUST TO PRINT a simple, one page, landscape, document. It just gives useless information and only wants to print something from last week. It has endured many expletives... I am out of them! Don't waste your money.
Abysmal. I was sent two broken printers. Third one has connectivity issues. Whatsapp Helpdesk takes hours to attempt resolution with ill trained operatives. I have honestly spent approximately seven hours trying to get a working printer. I'm giving up, sending it back, and instructing the buyers in my business to avoid all HP products.
HP printers....Just SH.T!
Would give zero stars if I could. They provide a WhatsApp number to offer support but no one gets back in time so they close the chat, then you get error messages. It’s so annoying! The phone number doesn’t work. My printer is running out of warranty and I can’t contact anyone to swap it! Don’t buy from HP.
I'm afraid that it's another poor review from me, for HP printers in general. The issue is HP's draconian practises, designed to (illegally) prevent users from using non-HP ink cartridges. Even when ultimately buying official HP ink, my printer still tells me that the cartridges are an "older version" and won't work. The only reason that the printer is saying this, is because of HP's firmware "upgrades". When trying to roll-back the printer's firmware to solve the problem, by using third party websites, the sites advise that HP has issued legal take-down notices to prevent this. Ultimately, I now have two working HP printers that won't work (including having a significant amount of official ink) simply because of HP firmware practises. I will have to throw the hardware and the ink away. That is costly to me and very bad for the environment. Rest assured I will be buying another manufacturer's printer to replace the current HP equipment. I also have an HP notebook PC, which is due for replacement, and I will be expediting that replacement (again, with another manufacturer's product). HP are greedy, unhelpful and very environmentally unfriendly. My advice is to disable any software "upgrade" facility and to ensure that your HP equipment is not communicating with HP (including removing all cookies). ...and buy any new equipment from more responsible companies.
I wish I could give MINUS 10 - HP are without any shadow of doubt the absolute pits of a company. The service is dreadful and worst of all HP do not give a damn. Look at these Reviews if this is not a strong enough clue to AVOID I you must be desperate. HP are ignorant and arrogant b******* with NO pride or passion. I challenge ANYONE to find a more worthless and useless - braindead company than this. I guarantee you will not find one it is impossible to be worse than these useless prats
Rubbish. New HP printer out the box. easy to use .I think not. Spent 3 hours getting printer error everytime. You need a phd to get this thing working...or not!
trying again to sign into my account which I've had since 2020 and still can't sign in, such a terrible service
HP 8024 the worst printer in the world. Never buying a HP product ever again. This is the second product which has been absolutely useless. The printer keeps failing to update, the printer constantly fails, and HP support is absolutely useless.
They can help customers that have brought their products for one. I have not been able to use my so called printer more than 3 times before I have to call the clown show that is HP customer service…
Problem with DeskJet 4130e printer set up, caused by HP app being a mess and nothing useful included with the printer. Found a support number using Google and got through to a very helpful person. It took 30 minutes of support to make the printer set up work.
I thought I was the only one trapped in this rubbish system by HP with the so-called "instant-ink". I agreed for £4.99 contract and they are collecting £14/month. I
Hands up, I was conned. I just never thought it would be by such a major company. 1. I bought the house envy 6030e recently and signed up to the instant ink package. 2. Being an idiot I expected this to mean that the printer simply communicated with Hp to tell them when you needed new ink. Wrong. Did you know they charge you per page? 3. I’m not sure how a company like this can justify charging per page, they are not a local printers. Are they paying fir the paper? No. Are they paying for the electricity? No. So on top of my monthly subscription (of 2.99 per month) they charge me an additional £98!!! 4. To clarify if I had gone to an actual printers the pages I printed would have costed around the £10 mark. On top of this my printer now won’t print which is a technology issue. This is not ethical and I’m sure I’m not the only one to complain. Customer services were useless. Even though I said I would cover the cost of whichever subscription would cover my page count if they refunded me the difference. I was told a manager would call back. Of course they didn’t. This company is fast loosing its reputation as a safe bet for printers. Very sad and very greedy.
Bought an HP 2710e today. My old trusty Canon I had for quite a few years decided to die and PC World only had this sort of equivalent. I have been in IT for many years but was a bit surprised with the Instruction book and it does not realty tell you much. You have to download the printer software from HP.123.com. Then it forces you into the Microsoft Store whether you like it or not and then download the correct software. Tried the Test print and that was OK. Though I would try the Scanner. Ops, there is no scan button on the printer. So click on the HP Smarty ICON and in the menu is Scan. Great. Not so great as you have to register on line to use the scan command for world wide printing,??? After much searching I found that in the Win 10 devices section I opened the Printer ICON and looked at any options. There was a drop down arrow so I click it and in there is said Scanner. Great BUT i have to get an app for it.. I clicked to get the app and.... Ohhh... back in the Microsoft Store again( have no idea why but is a default for HP ) and was offered a Windows third party app which I download and it worked. Then the FREE trial for Ink replacement for 6 months. WOW,, But did some research before making an account and providing all credit card detail, etc. Seems it is not free so reviews say people have been billed because the PC/Laptop was not connect to the internet and HP have a direct connecting to your printer so see how much ink is used and goodness know what else they look at,, So gave that a BIG miss. Ah the Wireless Option. Says, Open the Wireless option on your PC ??? . Most PC do not have wireless card . Laptops do. So you cannot connect to your printer from your Pone unless the PC is switch on and has a wireless card according to the Instructions. Anyway, It does work OK but if it was a beginner, they would have great difficult is setting it up as the instruction books were written by someone who has never seen a printer, Example, The Setup book, Connect power, Connect USB. Turn on, Job done, Ummmm..... do I have to unpack the ink cartridges and find out how to fit them. Oh, that it not in the setup book it is another book with a picture, ,,So be warned....
Please DON'T bother with this company, who seems to rely on brand name and reputation of yesteryear. No support except for pointless virtual chat option. I contacted them 2 weeks ago and still nothing. AVOID AVOID AVOID
I remember the days when a customer was treated well by HP. Alas those days are gone. Now this company is too large to provide a service. Hey Phillip what happened to your call you promised to make to me, as arranged the day before yesterday? Do you not realise there are other manufacturers of computers and printers? Remember the old phrase, "be nice to those on your way up, theyll still be there on your way down". I have seen all this with woolworths, British Home Stores, Debenhams, C&A, Bensons beds, Paul Simons, Linens Direct, Comet. Mother Care. All have disappeared, mostly because of their attitude to customers. Marks and Spencers are hanging by their finger tips, only their food sales keeping them afloat!! The bigger you are the harder you fall.
Just bought printer a year ago. Cannot find toner cartridge in universe. HP sales does not have it. Do not know where the hell i get it from. I simply want to throw printer out of the window. Phone support cut call deliberately.
WORST EXPERIENCE I have had the instaink account for about 2 years now. I recently changed the tariff to higher price and paid the subscripotion fee, but forgot to cancel and downgrade for this month(upgrade/downgrade any time is their promise). It's been 14 days that the new billing cycle started, BUT I haven't used any additional papers to print than the downgrade pack that I wanted to go for now, but still they are about to charge me for the whole month full upgraded price. I requested via customer service call to avoid the 2nd month charges for a service tat was used once in a month that's charged already. HP are just adamant that they want to charge me twice for the service that I only used once, when I asked for the supervisor/manager in order to escalate my concerns, the agent reluctantly said tat there is no one. This is a clear misleading of what their promise says. SO BEWARE IF YOU ARE ROPED IN TO BUYING THE INSTA INK packages. I am going to stop using HP printer and cancel subscription soon. I have called the customer service earlier couple of times but the service was excellent, and they listened to my requests. I am not sure what chamged all of a sudden.
hello a month ago i was trying to install a new hp deskjet 3760 printer I contacted technical support hp online and was phoned by an operator. who connected remotely and told me he couldn't install the printer because I didn't have protection the laptop is 8 months old and it's hp so i decided to buy mcafee protection for the cost of £ 110 for one year (after i found out that the cost of protection is £ 44.99) in a bank account the payment of £ 110 do whith card was sent to a company with a name CORE SOLUTION INT. after the payment they tell me that they would call me back after about 20 minutes (the time to install the program) they call me back install the printer we do the tests and at the moment it should work. after the phone call I discover that no protection has been installed. Does that mean I didn't need any protection? now i paid £ 110 to install a printer? if this service is paid, why not specify it first? I have not received any invoice for the money paid. would you please help me resolve this terrifying experience
Paul
Mar 01,2025Bought an HP printer which never worked properly from purchase. Spent two weeks of phone calls and emails trying to resolve but all to no avail. Was given a case number. Today received email saying case has been closed. Tried to contact HP but when I eventually did I was told they would not correspond as case closed. 91% 1 Star reviews. It says it all. Do not buy their products.
