Feb 09,2025I really enjoy the product. 2 things for improvement on the standard size tent, make it open further so you can enjoy more of the tent. Also, do not put the ladder and mounting hardware inside the tent during shipping. That spawned a helpdesk ticket that never got answered. If you see it, please ignore haha Rockin' product. Could use more room. but if it opened another inch further, it would be perfect. Super comfortable and keeps the elements off of you. I am happy.

Feb 05,2025Overall, it was a good experience. I love my Carbonlite RTT and Carbon Fiber Crossbars. I appreciated the option of picking up my purchases at one of several warehouses located across the country to avoid shipping cost. On the negative side, I received two of the same item. I picked up one at City of Industry, CA while the same item was shipped to me. Not a big deal. When I informed the company of the mistake, they sent me a prepaid shipping label to return one of the items.

Feb 01,2025I purchased the standard XL tent a few years ago. Didn’t get to use it until recently and I’m extremely disappointed with the quality given a nearly $1500 price. The main zipper on the cover gave me issues almost immediately when using it. The tent opened up properly but took a couple hours to get closed since the zipper would get stuck and skip teeth. Now the zipper can’t be closed at all because both pieces used to zip it have broken completely off the track. I’m now stuck with a tent I can’t use and the dissatisfaction that I spent so much on a product that doesn’t seem to have good longevity of use.

Jan 25,2025I haven't even put it on the vehicle yet, so I can't speak to it's durability and functionality, but it certainly looks sharp and the materials seem durable and of high quality. Ordering via the website was a breeze after downing a Modelo for liquid courage to place an expensive online order. I received an email from the shipping company saying they would follow up with me with a shipping number for the order, but they never did so. I was about to reach out to them about it the day the tent arrived though, so it was a pretty quick turnaround time that left me impressed for such a large item. (Ordered on 1/3 and received on 1/22). The lack of promised communication is about the only reason for 4 stars vs 5 at this point, but I definitely get that IO can only control so many aspects on that front. The box that the tent came in is some thick, double walled cardboard, so even though there was a good tear in the outer shell of the cardboard, when I opened everything up it was all in perfect condition. The last thing I will say having not used the tent yet, is that the folks at IO seem like they care about customer service quite a bit. My fun money funds aren't unlimited, so I had a lot of questions before ordering, and spent some time trading emails and making phone calls, and they were always extremely helpful and friendly in correspondance. I am now part of a Facebook group of IO tent owners and interested parties, and the company is very helpful and communicative on that platform as well. It gives me comfort to know that I can always reach out for help or questions when I think about a larger investment like this. I've got a goal of 20+ nights in this tent for 2025 and hope to give an updated review in a year's time, but for now I am one happy and excited customer!

Jan 11,2025Great service and great product! I have been using their Standard Lightweight Rooftop Tent (RTT) for 1.5 years (purchased September 2023) to many camping trips around CA. From windy nights to hot days, it has always kept us comfortable. The slim height and light weight kept everything easier for transferring and for my SUV/Truck.

Nov 19,2024I have had my XL carbon fiber RTT for 6 months now. Quality No other RTT are the perfect combination of stealth, price, light weight and a good build. I purchased the XL because I am 6’3” and I fit in it perfectly. It comes with a lot of extras, too many for my taste but can easily remove or don’t have to use them. And the air mattress kind of threw me for a loop, I was annoyed I had to deflate it to close the top at first but after a few nights I started to understand the air mattress upgrade and it became a necessity for maximum comfort. I have made a few simple mods but absolutely am stoked on this RRT. Service I have had nothing but great service from Inspired Overland. Don’t get me wrong there were shipping delays and they closed my local warehouse location so I had to pay for shipping. But Joey and the team worked hard to make it right and in the end they did!

Feb 19,2025it’s hard to put the ladder and also I use a crowbar to remove the ladder from the tent
