Horrible communication, responsiveness, and customer service. There is just no way that the positive reviews for this company are real. I worked with my agent, Salima Baloch, to try and get a new commercial policy because my existing policy was non-renewed. One would think that this is something that an insurance agent would deal with on a regular basis, right? I reached out about the non-renewal as soon as I received it in the mail at the beginning of October, since our policy would lapse in mid-December and I wanted to have plenty of time to evaluate policy options. I was basically told "don't worry, we've got this". Great, glad they have it covered and I can sit back. I heard nothing from them for a full month, so I called again in early November for an update and was told "don't worry, we're working on it but it's just taking a little longer than expected to get options, since standard market companies declined due to the non-renewal and we'll have to go to non-standard market companies". Again, understandable and probably something this agency (and agent) deals with on a regular basis, right? So I kept waiting, but wanted to reach out a little more frequently for updates since half of the lead time had been taken up by them already and I was starting to stress a little bit about getting the new policy stood up in time since I have no idea how long this is supposed to take (they never set any expectations on timelines). I started sending emails to get updates - Salima never responded to emails where I was just asking for a quick update on where we stood in the process (is it really that hard to answer an email?). I would call for updates and she would pick up maybe 10% of the time. Every time I (miraculously) got a hold of her, I would get the run-around that "our team is working on blah blah blah and I should have an answer at the end of this week or early next week". Then early next week comes around and I get 0 communication from her. I keep having to reach out for updates because now we are in December and I'm starting to really worry about having no insurance when my policy expires. I still can't get Salima and these people on the phone or to reply to an email. The lack of customer service and responsiveness is staggering. Not only are my calls not being answered, but Salima would actively send them to voicemail with an auto response that she'll call back in an hour or a couple of hours. She has not once called me back, even when I've left voicemails. So now we are about 12 hours from our policy expiring and I have not seen a single policy option from Salima or anyone from this incompetent agency. Throughout the entire process, I initiated almost all communications about policy renewal. But hey, I guess they're "working hard" which counts for something. Save yourself the trouble and keep your sanity - do not work with these people.
