Dec 19,2021Rani served us 4 courses and all were delicious. She was on time and very accommodating to my wife who was pregnant with dietary requirements. Also had no issues with having our dog coming and going through the kitchen. Can recommend Rani to anyone!

Dec 14,2021Gio was incredible!!! His food was amazing, my kitchen is spotless and his knowledge of both the food and wine was beyond what we could have asked for. Gio was friendly and professional! An amazing chef!! It’s the second time we had Gio over and can’t wait to find another reason to bring him back!

Dec 13,2021Ruffino was excellent. Arrived on time at arranged venue, prepared a five course meal for seven people using the equipment in the kitchen, brought his own oils, herbs and ingredients for the meal. Each course delivered in a timely manner giving us breathing space between courses. Explained each course, the ingredients taking into account one of our party was a vegetarian, which we had been able to discuss with him before the evening for the dining day. The food was of an exceptional standard, well presented, with the kitchen left spotless at the end. Would certainly recommend both La Belle Assiette and Chef Ruffino

Dec 13,2021Stoyan cooked us an excellent meal & the canapés were delicious. He was very respectful & quietly got on with the preparation whilst we had pre dinner drinks. A great evening with no worries about cooking or clearing up afterwards!

Dec 13,2021We had a fabulous evening in our showroom in London. Fabrizio cooked and served the most delicious meal and all from our little kitchen! He was charming and helpful and left the kitchen spotless. I will definitely be using La Belle Assiette again and recommending it to all our friends. They answered all emails and telephone calls immediately and nothing was too much trouble. We had to reduce our numbers a few days prior to the event and this was handled really professionally. Thank you all.

More than a great chef, he is very kind, attentive to detail, accommodating to different requirements, and does his best to make the client feel happy and at ease. He is very confident with his work which he does to a high standard, but is friendly and approachable at the same time. 10/10!

Dec 12,2021Tarek was a great addition to the night, he was very friendly and the food was fabulous. I think we will be eating the left over cheese for about a fortnight. Generally, entertaining at home is one of the great pleasures in life and what could be better than someone else doing all the hard work.

Dec 11,2021Elia is and excellent chef, our meal was delicious. Elia liaised with me about the menu beforehand, arrived promptly and provided alternatives for my Gluten free guest. Elia was flexible with the serving times due to us wishing to settle the grandchildren before starting. We had a wonderful stress free meal with all the family. Thank you so much Elia.

Dec 11,2021In August 2019 we booked a chef through La Belle Assiette for a celebration birthday lunch at our home for seven people. We had the most wonderful experience; a superb seven course meal prepared and served by a very amenable chef and assistant who, at the end of a long and unforgettable afternoon, left our kitchen in immaculate condition. On June 28th this year we again booked, and paid for, a chef through the same agency to cater for the same seven people on a very important anniversary at 1.00 pm on Saturday 4th December. We specifically booked a chef who would cook a gluten free five course lunch, and we booked this event six months early as we realised (correctly as it happened) how in demand ‘cook at home chefs’ would be in the run up to Christmas. Eight days before our celebration, having heard nothing from the agency in the interim, we contacted them to find what we needed to provide for the chef prior to her arrival. We were told that La Belle Assiette was about to phone us, to ask if the chef could serve our lunch early at noon and say that she would now have to leave at 2.30pm. It seems she had subsequently accepted another booking that evening which was obviously a larger (and more lucrative?) event than ours, a three-hour drive away. All our guests were travelling from some distance, so the best we could do was to consider a 12.30 start time. But that meant that, after planning this occasion for so long, we were now being asked to ‘rush’ our lunch in approximately one and a half hours, with half an hour for cleaning up. Hardly the relaxing event we had hoped for, and we asked how La Belle Assiette would fix the problem and guarantee we would enjoy the stress-free anniversary lunch we had booked and paid for. The agency tried to find an alternative chef for us, but were unable to, obviously because of the time of year and the demand on their staff. Precisely the reason why we had booked a chef for a date in December in the height of summer! As we not going to have a relaxed, unhurried lunch we were left with no alternative but to cancel our booking and request a refund, which was received very quickly. These ‘once in a lifetime’ occasions obviously only occur once in a lifetime, which is why we had hoped for a replay of our faultless 2019 experience. Instead, we held our ‘celebration’ anniversary lunch but, thanks to the chef side lining us for a better offer, we had to shop and prepare for it the day before, cook and serve it on the Saturday (our anniversary) and spend the following day clearing up – absolutely everything we had not wanted to do on this special occasion. We have several more important celebrations due in the next few years but, to avoid possible further disappointment, will certainly think twice before trusting ourselves to La Belle Assiette again. Edit: We had a nice message from the company in the week before Christmas saying they'd like to talk to us to address our concerns. Good customer service is often defined by how you deal with complaints, so we were pleased to hear from them, and looked forward to talking things through. We replied with a series of dates and times when we could be contacted. It's now the second half of January, all those dates have passed, and no one's contacted us. Disappointed.
