Following the steps lead to a simple replacement and had made the laptop literally as good as new. Product arrived fast and very well packaged ! I removed one star due to somewhat argumentative sales Comms as I ordered the incorrect screen despite selecting the correct one for my laptop. Appreciate there may be a message on the website saying check it's the correct one but evidently not clear enough. Otherwise great. ↓ I rest my case 🙂

Nov 21,2023Having struggled for some time with vertical lines down the centre of my laptop screen, I thought it might be worth considering a replacement screen, rather than a replacement laptop! I found the pricing at Laptop-LCD-Screen was quite reasonable and I had no difficulty in finding the correct replacement screen for my Acer Aspire E15, with the excellent assistance provided on their website. I had previously 'rehearsed' dismantling my laptop in order to replace a broken lid hinge, so replacement of the screen seemed a lesser challenge and the job took just minutes to undertake successfully. Upon turning on my Acer for the first time after fitting the new screen, I realised that the job had, perhaps miraculously, made the machine feel much better and was behaving almost like new again. I had read that perhaps there could have been a problem with the graphics driver, that might possibly have removed the vertical lines, but some checks indicated that this was not the case. I have carried out a full Windows 10 update (my Acer cannot take a Windows 11 upgrade), which has proven beneficial. So no need to invest in a new W11 laptop just yet! Maybe I should have replaced the screen sooner, as I hadn't realised that my laptop wasn't feeling well and that there was apparently a fault somewhere in the screen electronics. The glass screen itself was intact, but perhaps I may have inadvertently damaged some component(s) whilst replacing a lid hinge. I would certainly recommend Laptop-LCD- Screen to anyone experiencing similar screen problems.
