We are a family run business trading since 1989 first under the Name Chiltern Reptiles and then became an incorporated company in 2003 when we changed our name to Livefood UK Ltd. Because we are a small close knit company with just 10 employees we are able to really concentrate on customer care which has been the driving force behind our continued growth despite the harsh economic climate.

Jun 04,2013There's no comparison between Livefood UK products and those you could buy in a pet shop... the locusts and crickets i buy for my chameleon and gecko are always of high quality and I rarely get any dead ones. I order from them whenever I can. Postage is very quick, usually next day and packaging is high marks too.

Last week my order came and I was disappointed to find that when I opened the box, the large mealworms and the majority of the wax worms were dead. I sent an email to the company advising them or this and was very surprised when I received a reply and replacements on their way. This is my experience of Livefoods excellent customer service and will therefore continue to shop with them.

Jun 03,2013This is a great site for anyone who keeps reptiles or has lots of nesting birds in their garden. Its the best website I've found to source live mealworms from. Not just because its the cheapest either although that is what led me to their site in the first place. We,ve been feeding 4 orphaned blackbirds this year after a Sparrowhawk caught the dad while he was distracting the hawk away from his fledglings and live mealworms have been in big demand. Packaging is excellent as well as the service and the problem with my last order (one item out of stock) was dealt with by a single email. Excellent customer service and great advice on the website finish of the user experience on a high note. Well done all involved

Jun 01,2013I ordered a 3 pack of Komodo coco bricks and they arrived the day after the bank holiday Monday in perfect condition in a super strong bag. Ideal for my dwarf tarantula and once the bricks have been absorbed by water, you get loads of substrate.
