We are a family run business trading since 1989 first under the Name Chiltern Reptiles and then became an incorporated company in 2003 when we changed our name to Livefood UK Ltd. Because we are a small close knit company with just 10 employees we are able to really concentrate on customer care which has been the driving force behind our continued growth despite the harsh economic climate.

I’ve been using Livefood UK for a couple of months to buy live food for our new Bearded Dragon and I just couldn’t fault the service I’ve received. I order Locusts and they are always delivered in excellent condition and suitable packaging. I’ve never actually had a package containing any Locusts that weren’t still alive and they always look clean and healthy which is great as you’re feeding them to your pet. Very competitive prices as well and I’ve done my research to find out. I am very happy with the service I received and will continue to use Livefood UK for all of my Beardie’s food requirements. Got my mealworms 500g. Good price. Only thing I didn't like was they didn't come in a plastic tub.

I've been ordering items for my chameleon from this site for a few years. The bugs always arrive alive and well, all orders come as soon as they could possibly arrive and they are the cheapest place around. I can't rate this site high enough as I've never had any problems with them.

first time had issue, package open at both ends, box looked as if split in two, worried the insects were dead before I checked them. Royal Mail post man said to complain as package could have been empty or contaminated. Please make sure that the package is sealed adequately. Laura / Colin Campell

I've used livefood for around 2 years now as it was cheaper to order the food online than in the pet stores. The foods that arrived have been in great condition (none dead) and I've amended my order several times with specific instructions that were carried out as best as possible in each case with no problems. The website has gone from strength to strength as well as it is now very easy to add repeat orders and amend others.

I always buy my crickets,mealworms and waxworms from livefood.I really can't fault them.I normally order on a Thursday night and it arrives Saturday morning.The crickets and other livefoods are always in good condition(very few dead ones if any at all) much better than the ones you can buy in some pet stores and cheaper too. Highly recommended.

found this place online and ordered locust for my bearded dragon puffy . they arrived very quickly , they were all alive when iv purchased them from other places iv always had several dead ones. very pleased with service and quality and most of all puffy loves them

I was always a little skeptical about buying livefood from an online supplier, as call me old fashioned, but I like to see what I'm buying first hand. However as my exotics family grew, and my livefood costs increased, I became more tempted by the bulk buy deals offered from online sellers. After reading some good reviews I decided to take the plunge and give Livefoods UK a try and I've not looked back since. Delivery has always been prompt, reliable and well packaged, and despite my reservations reguarding quality, I need not have worried as all livefoods and frozen foods I have received have been of great quality. In fact I would say they have been superior to the shop bought ones I was previously buying, and are lasting longer. I'm getting near double the quantity for the same money as I was previously handing over in a shop and the delivery cost is usually cheaper than the bus fayre I was spending to get to my previous livefood supplier. I would have no reservations in recommending this service to anyone, and an sure that like myself, once tried you won't go back to shop bought livefoods!

I have been a customer of Livefoods for around 8 years & am impressed by the quality of their service. The website is well designed & easy to use, a good range of products, particularly with past orders easily visible so you can simply reorder what you normally want. Now, you can also set up a regular order at a interval to suit you. The checkout is clearly set out in stages & you can add a note for the delivery if you need to. The most impressive thing for me is that invariably my order made on one day reaches me at the other end of the country the next day! The company always let you know that they have received your order & once it has been dispatched, which is very reassuring. I would thoroughly recommend Livefoods to anyone who keeps reptiles as pets.
