Had a laughably bad experience from start to finish, buying ~£2k marble bathroom tiles: 1. *Tiles out of stock* Tiles were listed as in-stock (down to the square meters available - incredibly precise but wildly inaccurate). There were no tiles, so they ended up arriving a week late. Critical days lost and further costs incurred with my builders. 2. *Unwelcome surprises* An alternate (slightly more expensive, plus an add’l discount) tile was offered in lieu. I accepted and told my builders the new tile dimensions. After days of needing to proactively follow up, I was told without consultation - “good news! we’re going to send you the original tiles after all!” Of course, at this point this was not good news. 3. *Zero transparency or follow-through* Every day of that week delay, I had to call to check on the order status. Every single time, I was promised a call back the next morning. Not once did I get one. Further, only one person in the entire company seemed to have any knowledge of my order. So the person who answers the phone was almost never able to provide any useful updates. 4. *Poor quality tiles* To top it off, when the tiles finally did arrive, the builders had a nightmare installing them (further costs to me) because they were wildly different thicknesses (even from within the same box). Is this business in trouble? I’m afraid I’m adding to the recent run of really poor experiences. I ordered some full tile samples. When they arrived, entirely the wrong tiles had been sent and they were broken. After multiple attempts to contact them, I received a computer generated cancellation form. Several weeks and many chases later I have had neither any contact from the shop nor my refund. Certainly not an experience reflecting the luxury name. Proceed with caution.
