I recently had a patio umbrella that was damaged in a severe storm .I have ordered a number of umbrellas from MidTown previously with great satisfaction. This order was no different as the piece arrived on schedule ,as advertised and at a very reasonable price. Thanks. FKW

I bought my umbrella over a year ago and a strong gust of wind happened to knock it over and bend the umbrella pole........they could not have been easier to deal with or more helpful and had a new one sent over within a few days. I will absolutely only buy outdoor umbrellas from Midtown going forward! Great Company!

Today I put up my new, forest green, lean, 6’ umbrella, I love it! Perfect colour, high quality, super easy to put and tilt. I would enthusiastically recommend this company. The only small negative was FedEx didn’t deliver in the time frame they promised about a week late. The umbrella was well above all they said it would be!

Ordered umbrella + umbrella base online. When completing the purchase , it didn't say the umbrella was on backorder (otherwise would have not purchased). They sent me the umbrella base and had to contact them for an update on umbrella deliver status, that’s when they told me it was on back order and they still did not had an estimated delivery time, went ahead and cancelled the order, but already received the base. I requested a return for the base but the item is not eligible for free returns, now I either have to pay for a 27 kg weight package that probably will cost as much as the base or just keep it and figure out what to do with it. So disapointing, first and last time buying anything from this company! MAKE SURE ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE AND IN STOCK BEFORE PURCHASING!

I am commenting on Midtown's umbrella BASES used to anchor patio umbrellas. I got the Square "Base 2" in black with two wheels. The wheel feature was important to me because I reposition my umbrellas frequently throughout the day. Although the base is cool & modern looking & has the essential Two (2) large screws to anchor the pole to the neck of the base, the wheels are basically useless. The wheels are WAY too small to function. One cannot merely tilt the umbrella as a unit and push/pull to reposition. No. Instead, umbrella must be completely removed & moved to the side. Only then can the base can be lifted to a 90 degree angle and pushed/pulled into place. This design is not practical, so why pay for wheels?

I have been impressed with my umbrella but more impressed with the customer service. I bought the Grande Square umbrella with the Grande base in April of this year and I have been so pleased with it, we use it almost everyday. This last week I noticed that it was leaning funny and found that the base seemed to be broken, I emailed support with a video and they told me they had a replacement that was being sent out right away. I am so pleased with how easy it was to communicate and get it resolved. I will not hesitate to order from Midtown Umbrellas in the future and will absolutely recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.

A frustrating and ultimately unsuccessful purchase experience. Items (umbrella, wood deck base, cover) were in stock according to website when ordered. After three days of not receiving a shipping notice, I called to determine the problem. No immediate answer but received an email a few hours later telling me that the wood deck base was out of stock. I was directed back to the website to choose another base. The website still showed that the wood deck base was in stock. Took another email to confirm that the website needed to be updated, and that the base was indeed out of stock. Sent off another email asking 3 questions about an alternate base. Response a few hours later answered only one of my questions. A follow-up email asking for my other 2 questions to be answered elicited no response. A final phone call determined that using the concrete base plate with appropriate bolts on a wooden deck would void my umbrella warranty (huh?). Order was cancelled, and I received a full refund. Two days later received an email responding to my 2 questions telling me that yes, I could use the concrete base plate on a wooden deck with appropriate bolts! I did not reorder. Whole process took 7 days!

UPDATE: I originally gave Midtown Umbrella a 1 star review as repeated calls to the 800# and emails to support went unreturned for weeks. Midtown finally called me to apologize for not returning phone calls and emails - and have shipped us a new umbrella. I am updating my rating to 5 stars. Many thanks!! The following is my original review: We bought a midtown umbrella based on good reviews having to do with quality and customer service. The umbrella arrived in a timely manner and looks to be of good quality. We are having a problem with the canopy, the fabric is falling away from the rib assembly. I should think this is an easy fix, however after several emails and multiple phone calls over the last two weeks, we've not been able to speak to someone to help us. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I ordered umbrellas and paid at the beginning of April 2024. The order was accepted and then I was told the size I wanted was delayed. I kept checking and they said it was coming in early June. Crickets from them and when I checked again they said not for 3 months. So I've missed the summer for umbrellas for a pool. No excuse to take the order they couldn't honor. Had the use of my money for 4 months before returning.

I called Midtown Umbrellas to get a feel for their customer service experience. I won't do that again. The product looks great online, but the customer service turned me off completely. My neighbor recently purchased an umbrella and base from them, only to discover that the base did not come with any hardware to attach baae to umbrella. They contacted customer service and was told they are unable to provide the hardware unless they return the base. If you are looking for a company that stands behind their product, Midtown Umbrellas is NOT one of them. Patrick California

Delivery was very poor. I paid for expedited delivery on two items I purchased and neither arrived on time. You Reimbursed me for the fee but really put me in a bad position for July 4th when we had company. Remember, its the last touch the customer gets that drives their experience. Yours was not good. Twice
