Aug 29,2023Shopping for my first commercial-quality umbrella from a Canadian supplier, I found Midtown Umbrellas online. Great selection, easy to use website and most importantly, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER service! They were out of stock of the item I ordered and offered options to fill my order fast. On my SECOND purchase (because I was so happy with the first!) they shipped fast and were also quick to resolve some damage to the umbrella canopy for me. A1 experience. Great quality at this price. Aug 29,2023Ordered an umbrella which said 3-5 days to ship. I had an event in 5 days and didn't want to risk it so I paid the $30 expedited shipping fee for 1-3 day shipping. The item didn't even ship out for a week and is scheduled to be delivered like 2 weeks from order date. Not sure how their estimates could be THAT far off. They did offer some credits which were appreciated but that didn't help with my event...

Aug 29,2023Website states "All our umbrellas are designed and assembled in North America." but the boxes state "Made in China". Customer support confirmed the parts are made in China and assembled in Canada. Very disappointed to spend this much money on products that are made in China. Midtown needs to be upfront about its products.

Aug 28,2023I really like the umbrella's features and the way it looks. Durability is so-so and the customer service didn't help when the umbrella snapped at the handle housing. Ended up buying a second one because I like them with the intention of being a bit more careful with the second one though.

Aug 28,2023There was a technology glitch that affected my order status. The customer service people are excellent and after a few phone calls the issue was resolved. The umbrella is high quality. I am glad that I invested the money in this umbrella. So much better than replacing with a cheap one every year.

Aug 27,2023I shopped around online for an umbrella to match a teak picnic table, and came across Midtownumbrellas. They had wooden-look aluminum frames at a reasonable price, with a wide color selection of 10-year warranty cloth (you can even purchase replacements). When I received the umbrella it was better than I imagined; solid mechanical open and close functionality, rich color on the material, and the faux-wood looks great. Very satisfied with the purchase, thanks!

Aug 25,2023The umbrella itself is of good quality although customer service was lacking. The round base was shipped without the lower pole which was the company's mistake. After contacting Midtown, I was told it would be shipped in 3 to 5 business days but it was almost two weeks before the part arrived. It would have been smart if Midtown expedited the shipping.

Aug 25,2023quick and responsive reply from CS when I reached out. I was sent a Tilt instead of the Swilt ordered. Nate at CS had a Swilt sent out right away, along with instructions to return the Tilt. It was inconvenient to package up the wrong umbrella and take to FedX, so I requested a free cover to make up for that and the delay, which eventually arrived as well. Umbrella is top quality, love the sunflower color and the Swilt mechanism.
