Mar 31,2025Total and utterly atrocious platform. My son was supposed to have a tutor session yesterday, the payment went through and the tutor cancelled due to lack of payment. This platform has done this to me and my son repeatedly. Never again will I trust them. Not only have I now to fight to get my money back but my son misses an important tutor session before exams. Not worth it, do yourself a favour and take you business elsewhere. UPDATE 02/04/2025, I will be the first to admit I am surprised by the response from My Tutor, I had 4 payments that went through 2 have been refunded immediately and the other 2 are waiting on lessons being fulfilled. If this happens without a hitch I will update and alter my rating to reflect. But so far a good response from My Tutor.

Mar 29,2025I am very disappointed, spent a lot of money on this and had twice a lesson where the tutor did not show up. I asked the customer support team to at least offer a free lesson after the second no show. They never responded to this even after repeatedly asking on the whats app. Very very poor of customer service and care. Would not recommend

Mar 25,2025My daughter’s tutor, Garima, is outstanding! I can’t recommend her enough. Garima is so knowledgeable & uses various teaching methods & materials to ensure my daughter is engaged in every lesson. Garima adapts her teaching style to aid my daughter’s learning, she is patient and friendly so my daughter has never been afraid to ask questions or to ask Garima to repeat any topics. My daughter’s mock grades have improved by 2 grades so far. My Tutor did an excellent job identifying Garima as a suitable tutor for my daughter.

Mar 24,2025The platform works quite smoothly once you get a hang of it. If you are lucky, you can find a tutor quickly that suits your child's needs, otherwise, you might need a few tries. I recommend searching at the beginning of the school year, so that you can ensure availability throughout non-exam and exam periods. We found some great tutors here to help our two daughters through IBDP. The policies are clear, the technical support team is efficient and professional, and there are some excellent tutors to be found here. Prices are a bit high, but we live in Spain, so that element is subjective/relative. Overall, I recommend MyTutor as of the 2024-2025 school year as a reliable source for tutoring needs.

Mar 24,2025Money taken for a lesson not delivered. The customer service said I should go and chase the tutor because tutors are self-employed and he may refund the money at his discretion! You must be joking. I asked the lady at customer services whether if she books an uber and money was taken, and the driver doesn't show whether she would be asked to go and chase the driver. I have advised 'mytutor' that I will not be chasing the tutor personally as I did not pay money to the tutor. If a tutor is meant to get back to me and he doesn't I cannot be expected to chase him, wasting my time and energy when money was already taken by 'mytutor'. Dishonest practice. If my money is not refunded, I will report them for fraud.

Mar 16,2025My daughter has been having weekly tutorial lessons in A-level mathematics for about 6 months with her tutor Tharzana. The lessons are always well planned, the tutor is prepared and professional, and the experience has definitely improved my daughter's knowledge and confidence in maths.

Mar 15,2025All of the tutors that I have sourced for my daughter have been great, helping her with her GCSEs and now her A levels. Currently she is working with a fantastic tutor, Hannah, who is supporting her with her A level History and she is getting on fantastically. Hannah understands where my daughter's learning gaps are and supports and engages with her really effectively. We are sure that my daughter's target grade of an A will be achieved with the support of Hannah.

Mar 13,2025My daughter started using MyTutor in early Year 12, and I can genuinely say it has been a fantastic resource for her studies. The quality of the tutors is impressive. The only drawback of the platform is that they don't offer 0.5-hour tutoring sessions. Sometimes, my daughter feels that one hour isn't quite enough, but two hours can be challenging to focus on. Unfortunately, there is no 1.5-hour option available. Aside from that, I wholeheartedly recommend MyTutor to any student seeking extra support on their academic journey. It has been a wonderful investment in her education, and I’ve seen significant growth in her confidence and understanding of the subjects.

Our son is very engaged in the lessons and has already made progress and gained confidence in each subject. It is very easy to communicate with the tutor and we have been very impressed with the delivery of the lessons and the feedback we have received.

Mar 13,2025My son is SEN and I wanted a Tutor who would help him and understand his needs. I called the company about lunch time (just after Christmas). Following the conversation that I needed an hour but split lesson as he wouldn't cope with an hour long tutor on one subject, I received a call by the end of the day. I had asked for someone who would charge about £25 and hour and would be willing to do an evening before 6pm. This was met with open arms. One of the selling points for me, was meet and greet and if you don't gel, it is FREE of charge for that meet and greet. The company will then find someone else. We have been extremely lucky with our Tutor. She is kind and fair and has worked with me in the background to support my son. His grades are improving and following a meeting at the school the other day, my son is head in the right direction. I recommend this company to anyone who will listen. They have turned things around for us. Once a week, but my son feels so much more confident in his topics. He is in year 10 and the tutor is teaching him how to go over older work. This is great and also exploring past exam papers.

Mar 13,2025I was able to look through lots of tutors to find the perfect match for my daughter - I did reach out to a couple and found a lovely, thoughtful and patient tutor that made my daughters experience the best it could have been (she wasn’t happy at all that I got her a tutor, but soon came round to it after meeting her!)
