Occam Defense Solutions Inc. was born out of a desire to make simple, reliable, and practical weapons for the American Rifleman. We look for real problems and design elegant solutions for them. Our name comes from the scientific principle of Occam’s Razor: “All things being equal, the simplest answer is the correct one”.
ODS is located in Idaho– one of the most free states in the union. We love liberty, and firmly believe that individual access to quality weapons supports liberty on a personal and national level.

Apr 11,2020All the parts are excellent quality, very rigid and solid feeling in the hand. Its very lightweight for the size of the rail and easy to install. Only thing I can say is I hope different sized clamps are coming in the future so the rail can fit a larger variety of AKs. Awesome product!!

Feb 17,2020This is the second RST I own. One is on a wasr10 and the other a saiga. It’s the perfect solution for an RDS on an akm. Rugged, simple and aesthetically pleasing. What surprised me was how much better the iron sight window is compared to a stock an set up. The wide u notch really is nice. Someday all my AKs will have an RST!

Feb 13,2020I started following occam on instagram, and was excited to try their products out in person when i went to red oktober. and i loved them even more. i bought a merc rail , but my work traveling situation caused a mess-up with shipping, but they took care of it all and even gave me a discount for the trouble (even though it was my fault) these guys are the best! I truly cant wait to see what they come out with in the future.
