Occam Defense Solutions Inc. was born out of a desire to make simple, reliable, and practical weapons for the American Rifleman. We look for real problems and design elegant solutions for them. Our name comes from the scientific principle of Occam’s Razor: “All things being equal, the simplest answer is the correct one”.
ODS is located in Idaho– one of the most free states in the union. We love liberty, and firmly believe that individual access to quality weapons supports liberty on a personal and national level.

Jan 01,2022I purchased these sights for my IWI Galil ace gen 2. They are extremely well made and far more available than their CZ type counterparts. Buy American and you don’t have to wait for imports to clear customs. They were easy to zero and rugged enough to use in the woods with no issues. The only issue is the design of the rifle pic rail that doesn’t allow the sight to be installed all the way back on the top cover. Not the fault of the sights just a shortcoming of the top cover design.

If you need an ak or anything related to it you will never go wrong with occam superb quality and awesome people so if you're questioning what to get just buy an occam.

Nov 05,2021Well made looks great and is the absolute best way to mount optics to the ole AK. As an amateur gunsmith the install was easy enough but a bit involved needing to cut off barrel hardware but worth it. Occam's video's were very informative too. Thanks Occam for making the upgrade that the AK truly needed to compete with the AR. When I compare Steel case ammo to steel case ammo between the two guns I find my AK and AR are equals in accuracy.

Jan 23,2022I’m really impressed with the folding stock. Built like a tank but with a clean aesthetic look. I think it’s based on the sig sauer hinge and it’s a work of art. Just like my OD 1776 rifle. Are there any plans to offer a shorter version as well? Oh also the t shirts are great. It’s the thinner type of fabric that I favor.
