Occam Defense Solutions Inc. was born out of a desire to make simple, reliable, and practical weapons for the American Rifleman. We look for real problems and design elegant solutions for them. Our name comes from the scientific principle of Occam’s Razor: “All things being equal, the simplest answer is the correct one”.
ODS is located in Idaho– one of the most free states in the union. We love liberty, and firmly believe that individual access to quality weapons supports liberty on a personal and national level.

Sep 01,2022Can’t expect anything less from the northwest quality is superb. Instillation is a bit of process but not hard. Increases accuracy, notably cooler than standard hand guard. If you are looking for something to bring your AK into the modern era with extended hand guard and the ability to mount force multipliers on your rifle there is no other option.

Jun 21,2022I usually don’t leave reviews. Only when I really dislike the product or their service or when it’s just “that good”! Have the Merc hand guard and the Hex folding stock. Merc was a trade and I purchased stock direct from Occam. Between the two it changes the balance of the rifle so well you’d swear it lost more weight than it did. Both are rock solid. Will be building a twin the same way…..

May 16,2022I’ve never really explored the AK. I was a victim of bro knowledge. I’ve now bought several OCCAM rails and accessories and rifle 290.....I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER! Everything is made to super tight tolerances and fit with minimal fitting. With the MERC rail the AK can run all the doodads that made the AR famous. I am a FAN!

Mar 24,2022I have two ODS1775 rifles now. Nothing but good service and good communication from the company! These rifles are everything I have wanted out of an AK for so long, it feels great to actually have it all now! They even sent me a bit of black magic that I asked for with the last rifle. I guess the only thing that would be an improvement would be the production and availability of the black magic lube and the other Occam lubes. That is really important to me and I need to get my hands on a decent amount of it soon. I don't want to use any other lube on it if I can help it. Very pleased with Occam Defense Solutions!!!

Feb 20,2022I'm not upset but sad I haven't got my gasblock as on time as stated on website I under stand Brian has a lot going onas I do as well that fact being I had to run my course with an over gassed wbp or maybe I'm just a weakling or a even worse but I'm going to have to hassle ods for there prices strictly cause I can't afford there 3250 dollar price FJB

I wanted a triangular folding stock to give an SBR a factory look, but hadn't found what I wanted anywhere. Came across the Occam Defense stock and took a chance as the price was decent. I was definitely impressed and very happy with my stock. Have recommended them to others as well.
