What is OKA all about? Simply put, it’s a love affair with living well. Since the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create things that make time spent with friends and family more memorable. We believe that’s the secret to living beautifully: enjoying it.
OKA started small, with three women bringing unique designs from the Far East to shoppers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur on a mission to find special items to decorate her holiday home with, invited two friends along: her sister-in-law Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree included stints at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist whose company made exquisite faux flowers. Together they set out to create a catalogue of charming home upgrades.
From the start, the OKA team has called on talented artisans from all over the world to bring its ideas to life. Our furniture and homewares prioritise beauty, comfort and style, but we choose items for their integrity, not because they fit a prescribed look. The magic of OKA is the mix: hand-picked global treasures, rich textures and patterns, and timeless furniture profiles. It’s ever-changing but unwaveringly British; elegant and easy-going; sophisticated but never stiff.
And our name? OKA is a phonetic take on ochre, a colour that nods to the East, yet feels innately British. A blend of cultures and aesthetics working in perfect harmony, which is at the heart of everything we do.
Building on over two decades of collections, 13 experiential stores in the UK, a website, and an ideas-packed magazine, we’ve become a destination for lovers of home, season after season. And the more we continue to follow our passion for design, the more we inspire others to find theirs.

Dec 24,2024I've had very bad customer service from Oka, and from the delivery company they choose to use, Rhenus. I've had nothing but problems with a simple order of a lamp and a lampshade that I placed on 28 November. First, I tried to contact Rhenus to reschedule my delivery because I had to make an emergency trip abroad; it was impossible to get hold of them by email, or by WhatsApp (which is only a useless bot that spits you out with short, unsatisfactory replies). I also contacted Oka by their website and received no reply. The delivery company delivered only half of my order on 23 December, and has now rescheduled the other half on 2 January - quite a long time after the original order was placed, and after Christmas. I tried to get hold of Rhenus on WhatsApp and couldn't get through; eventually they said Oka failed to provide it both parts. I called Oka moments later, and the customer service person promised to call me back or email me, but didn't. Oka really should use a different delivery company that delivers more quickly, enables customers to track their deliveries and doesn't have such massive delays in bringing simple items. I've also been very disappointed by Oka's customer service. I won't be ordering from them again.

Dec 23,2024I would like to say a massive thank you to Natasha Woodhead at Bath. We had months of issues with the on line customer services and their delivery company Rhenus. At my wits end in December, I called the Bath store where Natasha having listened to my problems efficiently and effectively brought this problem to a close. Natasha’s communication skills and empathetic nature is first class and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

I would particularly recommend the Home Stylist - very professional and great vision, absolutely thrilled with the result. Some quality issues however with garden tables - yet to be resolved.
