What is OKA all about? Simply put, it’s a love affair with living well. Since the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create things that make time spent with friends and family more memorable. We believe that’s the secret to living beautifully: enjoying it.
OKA started small, with three women bringing unique designs from the Far East to shoppers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur on a mission to find special items to decorate her holiday home with, invited two friends along: her sister-in-law Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree included stints at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist whose company made exquisite faux flowers. Together they set out to create a catalogue of charming home upgrades.
From the start, the OKA team has called on talented artisans from all over the world to bring its ideas to life. Our furniture and homewares prioritise beauty, comfort and style, but we choose items for their integrity, not because they fit a prescribed look. The magic of OKA is the mix: hand-picked global treasures, rich textures and patterns, and timeless furniture profiles. It’s ever-changing but unwaveringly British; elegant and easy-going; sophisticated but never stiff.
And our name? OKA is a phonetic take on ochre, a colour that nods to the East, yet feels innately British. A blend of cultures and aesthetics working in perfect harmony, which is at the heart of everything we do.
Building on over two decades of collections, 13 experiential stores in the UK, a website, and an ideas-packed magazine, we’ve become a destination for lovers of home, season after season. And the more we continue to follow our passion for design, the more we inspire others to find theirs.

Jun 29,2024A very long wait for the item despite it saying “In stock” on the website when placing the order. I ordered a set of pictures in early Jan, I finally received them in mid Apr. I made several calls to them prior to my delivery, both to chase up the delivery and to say that I thought the bank transactions did not look right. I finally received the product and was later contacted to be told that they had indeed made an error with taking the payment, they’d somehow despatched without collecting first. I was then hounded by their “customer service” agent who made me feel like I was in the wrong, that the error was my fault and that I was trying to scam them. The agent missed scheduled calls and was quite abrasive throughout. I explained that I had no issue paying for the items but I wanted to make sure that their information was legitimate, especially as they were asking me to change the payment method without evidence that the prior authorisation had expired, something I don’t think was out of order considering how irregular the position was. I was also acting on the advice given by my bank. I’ve obviously now settled the account in full. I have had no apology from anyone. All quite horrid, the experience has knocked the shine off what are otherwise are lovely pictures, however I find they now annoy me whenever I look at them. I’d have sent them back if I hadn’t had to have my builder modify the hangings to fit my space prior to all the nonsense starting. Despite Oka having many items that I very much like on their site, I shall not shop with them again. A hideous company to deal with.

Jun 26,2024Awful customer service. The last twice I have purchased from OKA and the items do not arrive in 10 working days (which they charge for) and last time took 3 months. Placed a recent order and have been advised again that the items are not in stock (notwithstanding I was advised by customer services that they did have stock at the time of purchase, hence purchasing the items). Customer service person insisted i was wrong (not withstanding what I was advised at the time of purchase) - frankly this company is going down the pan!

Phil and Dave in Bristol great lads really pleased with their professional approach to the very large table they brought in. Also Tony and Darren same really fast and efficient delivery would definitely recommend these guys. Pleased with immediate response from Nikki in customer service with a query and partial refund issue she responded and sorted it out in a minute . Linda in the bath shop for all her help in picking the furniture. Great team thanks
