What is OKA all about? Simply put, it’s a love affair with living well. Since the very beginning, we’ve been on a mission to create things that make time spent with friends and family more memorable. We believe that’s the secret to living beautifully: enjoying it.
OKA started small, with three women bringing unique designs from the Far East to shoppers in the West. Lady Annabel Astor, a serial entrepreneur on a mission to find special items to decorate her holiday home with, invited two friends along: her sister-in-law Sue Jones, whose decorating pedigree included stints at Jasper Conran and Colefax and Fowler, and Lucinda Waterhouse, a skilled horticulturist whose company made exquisite faux flowers. Together they set out to create a catalogue of charming home upgrades.
From the start, the OKA team has called on talented artisans from all over the world to bring its ideas to life. Our furniture and homewares prioritise beauty, comfort and style, but we choose items for their integrity, not because they fit a prescribed look. The magic of OKA is the mix: hand-picked global treasures, rich textures and patterns, and timeless furniture profiles. It’s ever-changing but unwaveringly British; elegant and easy-going; sophisticated but never stiff.
And our name? OKA is a phonetic take on ochre, a colour that nods to the East, yet feels innately British. A blend of cultures and aesthetics working in perfect harmony, which is at the heart of everything we do.
Building on over two decades of collections, 13 experiential stores in the UK, a website, and an ideas-packed magazine, we’ve become a destination for lovers of home, season after season. And the more we continue to follow our passion for design, the more we inspire others to find theirs.

As with others the information we were given at the time of ordering proved to be hopelessly wrong. Customer service is beyond awful - no ring back - no assistance - no explanations, and in one instance, downright rudeness! We wanted to change the delivery day to avoid cancelling a pre-booked appointment. No chance! We now have our rug but the lack of any kind of customer service or information whilst we were waiting for it has tainted our view of this company. Never again!
Neil our delivery man was excellent, unfortunately his colleague was sick so he unloaded a large order of garden furniture alone. Thank you Neil ☺️

Ordered two mirrors in March. Website advised two weeks until they were in stock. 5 weeks later, having chased 4 times, Oka finally confirmed they were out for delivery. 2 weeks later, nothing has arrived and now no response to my 4 chasing emails. I have now requested a refund…guess what, no response. At best, an utter shambles of a company and at their cynical worst, a company who happily take customers money without any idea when they will deliver items. Appalling

Really poor customer service of late. Ordered a sofa and prints from them for our renovations. The prints only arrived after chasing and were clearly not packaged correctly thus arrived damaged. When I contacted customer services they said replacements would be sent in September or I could keep the damaged ones with just a 20% discount on the original order. Shame that they are not customer centric especially when we are loyal customers spending a fortune over many years. Seems like online staff are nowhere near as well trained as in store colleagues who actually care.
On the day of delivery I received an email with a 2 hour delivery window and the van arrived on time. The delivery drivers, Terry and Darian, were brilliant. Very polite, they moved my new desk upstairs carefully for assembly and then fitted it in place with care. They even helped me move the old desk downstairs so I could dispose of it. They are both a credit to Oka.

We have previously ordered online but have now discovered OKA in Hoopers, Tunbridge Wells. We were so pleased especially when Nawel Dahane spent time with us to select a feature lamp and shade for our home. Perfect! Thank you and also to all your colleagues. A lovely place to shop.
I was given a 2 hr delivery slot plus tracking info. The delivery arrived promptly. The 2 delivery people were charming, respectful of our property and thorough in their service. The products were unloaded, checked by themselves and me and then carried and positioned in our home. I was given time to reposition. All the packaging was taken away. A very good experience. I will use again and highly recommend OKA. Thank you

May 23,2024We ordered a sideboard that looked like a lovely distressed cream in the photos but when it arrived was more of a dark grey green and looked completely different to the online photos. I sent photos of our item vs the item represented online to Customer service who admitted the problem was on their side, advising that it was because their photos had been taken in artificial light but offered absolutely no solution apart from a refund. Apart from the colour, the measurements and style of the sideboard are fantastic but we will have to pay to get it repainted because Oka have refused a partial refund as well. I'm appalled at how little cooperation has been shown on this when the fault is so clearly on Oka's side.
