Jul 23,2024Pre holiday information was good. However, disappointed with tour manager's level of information. Think it would be better to have a local tour manager to impart knowledge of local history and up to date prices etc. Also think the company should not have scheduled holiday when that part of Europe had a 4 day bank holiday resulting in horrific traffic delays.

Jul 23,2024I love my One Traveller Holidays when I know I can rely on excellent couriers, hotels and excursions. Love the meal the night before departure in a hotel in Heathrow. The organisation to get you to the Terminal and check in was excellent.

Jul 20,2024I am still waiting a response from you in regard to my initial room allocation, as promised when I first returned. Everyone in our group of twelve except myself were allocated rooms on the first floor with balconies. All though some did not have the preferred view, they had good sized rooms with a light airy balcony as shown in your booking. However, I was shown to a room that was on second floor and a route march to the distant end. The room was 224 and was pokey with little room or natural light. It had a good WC but the balcony overlooking the corner of the road had a tiled roof overhanging the balcony and another roof coming up to meet the balcony. In all it was claustrophobic and nowhere near the description sent out to me in April. As I had paid the same as everyone else why was I isolated from the group? This was my first and sorry to say last booking with you as I felt side lined immediately. I returned immediately to reception and asked for another room. None apparently were available. My rep gave short shrift saying you cannot expect all rooms to be the same. Not the same and not even similar and for one weeks holiday costing nearly £3,000 does not cut it. The manager stepped in and some how within seconds I was given a room on the first floor alongside 4 of the group with a beautiful view of the garden and lake. How can this be if it was supposed to be full? The manager sought me out in the evening to ask if I was happy with my room and I told him perfect, as described! What has also baffled me is the gentleman who called shortly after I moved to my new room. He was obviously expecting someone else and though Italian, spoke to me in English! All told this spoilt my start to the holiday. As it progressed the route etc was exactly as expected. The scenery as I remembered from holidays in the past. I often travel solo without an arranged trip, though have previously used escorted tours. What I do not expect is to be scolded as a naughty child implying I kept everyone waiting when several others were trailing behind me. At 72 years of age with a successful career behind me now am retired, I will not be snapped at when the reason was non existent. So in short I will not recommend you nor use you again.

Jul 17,2024This was a very enjoyable holiday in every way except one. The food in the Grand Hotel Bristol is a lovely hotel but the food was extremely bad. I mentioned this in my review and expected to hear from One Traveller as I did not get a response I emailed the manager of the hotel. I told him in detail what I thought of their offering and made suggestions for improvements. Unlike One Traveller the manager did reply to my letter which I appreciated. Apart from that our guide was excellent and although I caught a virus midweek and was unwell I enjoyed the lakes.

Jul 16,2024Great holiday - well planned and with lovely people. All went well until BA cancelled the return flight when we were half way to the airport. Manager David did his best but the return journey was for me considerable confusion. It would have been better if we had all come home on the same flight.

Jul 16,2024I had a very good holiday,a great group of people and a very good tour manager in Glen. The hotel was fine except for my. 0515hrs daily awakening when an extractor fan started, I was recommended to buy earplugs, which worked. The bar arrangements were less than welcoming.

Jul 16,2024The office staff are helpful and courteous answering any questions you may have and put your mind at rest. Everything is organised for you when you leave from the hotel for the airport. The tour managers are helpful, organised and informative. I have enjoyed every holiday I have taken with One Traveller.

Jul 16,2024A very interesting and packed holiday itinerary. Good hotels and good restaurants on the whole. All travel arrangements worked well. Unfortunately the Tour Manager was not up to OTs usual standard and did not appear to have done any preparatory work. This did not spoil my holiday.

However the cruise I went on was not the standard I expected in terms of food which was adequate but not a high standard and tea & coffee was not free during the day. Also on some days there was not enough activities organised.. it was an expensive holiday that really did not meet my expectations fully.

Jul 16,2024The itinerary for the Canadian Rockies trip was excellent so that we saw so much in the 15 day trip, including time in the Rockies, two days on the Rocky Mountaineer, time in Vancouver (including walking across the Capilano Suspension Bridge) and time on Vancouver Island. My favourite place was Banff but I was stunned by the wonderful scenery throughout the trip. There was plenty of snow on the mountains adding to the beauty of the place. The tour manager was experienced and highly capable and helped us to spot bears, eagles, elk, moose and so much more.
