My Optoma HD28i projector stopped working 2 days short of its warranty period and after speaking to Optoma they agreed that if I sent it back to them - they would have a look to see what was wrong. I have now spoken with two different ladies in their Customer Services dept. (Nadia and Blessed) who were both very helpful and kept me updated with emails over the last few weeks. During the tests - it appeared that my main board had failed and Optoma replaced this and tested my projector before returning it back to me. I now have the unit back on my ceiling and everything is working as expected. Many thanks, Nick
I had to have a small fault fixed under warranty and could not fault Mohammed and the repair teams at Optoma. My projector was only offline and with them for less than six days. Great and very much appreciated! Thank you.
I contacted Optoma support to ask which remote control model I would need to replace our lost remote and was amazed when Luke offered to just send us one free of charge. Top customer service which simply promotes both Optoma's name and reputation!
Just want to pass my thanks on to Luke for helping me with a few issues I had setting up my golf sim setup. Optoma were very quick at helping with my issues.
I made contact with the support team to get the manual and tech info for an Optoma projector I have. It's a fairly dated model so wasn't holding out much hope. I'm also not a direct customer. But the support staff came back to within hours with the tech spec and full manual. Great service.
Well I have read some bad reviews about there warrenty service , and to be honest I was expecting the worse , my projector is 2 years old and had a irritating buzzing noise develope , so I returned it to them last week under the RMA for repair , just had a email its been repaired and cleaned inside I will receive it tomorrow , thats less than a week . So dont believe the nonsense some of those angry people post . 10 out of 10 from me all day long .

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Optoma devices. In December 2021, I bought an Oproma cinemax P2 laser projector. I actually started using it after moving in mid-January 2022. The equipment was advertised as a high-end and modern home entertainment center. Unfortunately, after about 8 months of use, the projector began to display "dead pixels". At that time, the laser's operating time was about 1000 hours. The laser matrix was replaced at that time. In August 2024 (operating time around 3800 hours), the device broke down again. The left side of the displayed screen first loses color and sharpness, and after some time it turns off completely. The service visit did not detect any faults. When the problem repeated, I sent a report to the service and received an email that it was a faulty formatter board, the replacement of which would cost about 600 euros (500 pounds) or 1/4 of the value of the entire projector. I described the entire problem to the service in my country and to the service in the UK. Unfortunately, the company's position remains unchanged - the warranty ended a few months ago, so the repair is chargeable. If I had bought a new TV back then, first of all, I would have spent less money and had the equipment for years. I could also have bought much cheaper equipment from Epson or Xiaomi and not lost a large sum of money. Huge disappointment. [UPDATE 14.10.2024] I answered to Optoma request to contact the service. I will update here what steps and measures was taken. [UPDATE 03.01.2025] The issue has been solved. I am raising my rating to 3* because after intervention on social media and in several Optoma offices in different countries the matter was resolved. The projector was in repair (the third time) from 17.10 to 20.11 but the problem was fixed. It has not recurred to this day. I received an additional 3 months warranty for the repair. A big thank you to Matt from the customer service of the UK office, who dealt with the whole matter and helped to resolve it.
I love my new Optoma UHD66 such a great picture, I upgraded from a HD151x I'm so glad i did.
I enquired about replacement silicone tips and received an email the following day and a couple of days later in the post. Much appreciated fast service.

Incredible service I purchased an Optoma screen some 10 years ago and after moving house found that the emote sensor had become faulty. I emailed Optoma yesterday more out of hope than anything else to see whether they still supplied them. they replied to me email immediately and asked for my address and today I have a new sensor. It is so refreshing in this day and age to deal with a company that is so efficient, fantastic company that make brilliant products backed up by top customer service, thoroughly recommended.

Wow, what outstanding customer service. I have just received outstanding customer service from a member of the Optoma UK team, Mohammed Ishtiaq. My interactions with Mohammed could not have been better, speedy responses, extremely helpful, and he went above and beyond to ensure that I was a happy customer, job done! This experience will stick in my mind for the next time I'm in the market for a projector, and Mohammed should be commended for making me feel like this, it is rare that I experience service this good.
As you can see from other reviews and from countless entries on forums which I wish I'd looked at before buying they just don't seem to be very good any more. I have a UHD38 which has always fairly noisy. My last was a Viewsonic which was much quieter and lasted 8 years. This Optoma lasted just over 2 and of course despite the well documented failures of them they are not willing to stand behind their product and just seem to want you to pay for what appears to be a poor design. Anyway, no more Optomas for me.
The dishonesty of these people is staggering. Their repair prices are nothing short than pure robbery. For the love of god, do not buy Optoma products. I ended up spending almost £ 400 for having a new lamp and colour wheel (this last item being just £ 35). Shame on these people. UPDATE 2/11: got the projector back, and now it makes an unbearable noise it never made before, and will have to be sent back again. AWFUL. I regret to have bought an Optoma bitterly. Never again. UPDATE 30/11: It was sent back to Optoma and returned yesterday. To my despair, the noise is still there. This company is a complete joke. And it is not funny.
My Optoma UHZ65UST projector developed a fault - turning off after a few minutes. I contacted Optoma EU and sent it for repair, paying courier costs and over £800 for a new part. That was back in June 2023, I didn't hear anything back for months, I enquired and was told there was a delay, then offered the projector back without repair and a refund (but a broken projector is of no use to me, so it's still with them awaiting a part). I asked if I could get a replacement projector instead of waiting for repair or discount on what I paid, as it is now October, but I've heard nothing more back. I realise stock parts might be out for a short while, but this is crazy! Never had an experience like this before with such an expensive and high end purchase. Really disappointed.
aggiornamento della mia riparazione giorno 75 : Siamo arrivati a metà luglio ma del mio proiettore quasi nuovo neanche notizie, sempre più convinto che si deve stare lontani da questa azienda che ha un servizio di assistenza inesistente, se acquistate da questa azienda sappiate che non riceverete supporto le uniche certezze che avrete saranno i soldi spesi e la data in cui invierete il prodotto in riparazione. assistenza inadeguata e non riceverete neanche delle scuse per gli inconvenienti che vi procureranno con i loro prodotti, cadrete in un silenzio profondo.
Al mio proiettore UHD42 si è guastato il DMD (pixel bianco sullo schermo) dopo appena 23 mesi dall'acquisto ed uso di circa 1 ora al giorno. Dopo un mese dall'invio all'assistenza, continui solleciti e risposte non certe sui tempi di riparazione, ho dovuto acquistare un nuovo proiettore per non interrompere il mio lavoro. Dopo aver avvisato per iscritto e per telefono l'assistenza e l'Optoma.co.uk di non procedere alla riparazione ma al rimborso, stranamente la sera stesso il proiettore era già stato riparato (chissà con quale ricambio visto che mi avevano detto che non era disponibile) e spedito. Tra l'altro mi hanno comunicato che sulla riparazione non c'è garanzia. Prodotto scadente e assistenza pessima e scorretta. Sconsiglio vivamente.

Mar 26,2025I have just purchased an Optoma UHZ55 projector - all good apart from an on screen WPS icon which, try as I might, I could not figure out how to remove. I contacted Optoma's online customer support and within minutes I had clear and helpful guidance from Mohammed which sorted it out.
