Update 8 Jan 2024: Hello Agatha and Jonah Ben Sotero, it already over a month. Is this how Osome work? Your bot sent me a message, "We’re waiting for your reply to move forward. If you have any questions, just let us know and we will be happy to help. Thanks!" Update 4 Jan 2024: After requesting for a refund weeks ago, Jonah Ben Sotero wrote again, "I want to make sure we complete the verification soon as there are still other steps we need to complete before we can submit this to our internal processing team for review of your incorporation." Why do you have to make this so painful? Update 2 Jan 2024: Anyone following up on our request for refund? Update 15 Dec 2023: Hi Agatha, I have not heard from you after asking for a refund. Can you kindly look into this? Thank you. Update 13 Dec 2023: One week went by after payment was made and I contacted Agatha - only to find out that we were not onboard. Today's 13 Dec 2023, Jonah told us that we are not onboard yet because he requires more verification. After answering the last question, he would repeat the same again with another question. One question after another by email every other day for the past week. If this is not bad enough, how about contacting an ex-director without consent! My initial experience setting up my company was seamless and easy, once I joined for their accounting software that’s where it went down hill. Firstly, as a new business I didn’t have my company debit card set up so I used my personal bank card - I was told three current things as to how I should expense items via my personal card 1) link you card to our software and upload the reciept as normal 2) make sure you do not link your card just send the receipts and mark them as a directors loan 3) you’ll have to go through your bank statements and highlight which are transactions and then match with receipts. Now as a new business owner all I need is something simple and easy to use being told 3 different ways 2 of which go against each other isn’t the best of starts. The so called “HELP” their staff tried to give me was useless I tried to complain internally so I could 1) get the answers I needed once someone senior heard my problems 2) be compensated due to the problems I have had within my short time using them and their rude staff. I still don’t have an answer to my questions nor has anyone at OSOME - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME AND MONEY

This review relates to the sign up and incorporation process of Osome for the Singapore branch. I will update it at the end of the year to detail my experience. Its not often I take the time to leave a review, but my experience has been great so far with the Singaporean branch. A special thanks to Myles B during this process. She definitely put in the extra effort for my situation, going above and beyond, organising extra meetings for all my queries. It was clear to me that she was working outside of the usual hours to accomodate my situation due to our timezone difference. After the onboarding proccess, the requests by all other members of the team have been resolved extremely fast. I'm looking forward to continuing for the year, hopefully opening another account with them for future endeavours.
Of all the tools and services we use, Osome has provided the worst experience of all. They were okay at first in the first few months and first year. But afterwards, they became extremely slow, made a ton of mistakes in handling all your accounting, and don't seem to care about your financial statements. Their accountants and account managers change every few months, so you never get continuation of context. Their support staff may answer quickly, but they can only acknowledge your message, and never have the expertise to properly answer your questions. They only give templated responses. Their interface is also terrible. You can never find the documents you need because everything is in disorganised chats. As start-up founders, we often aren't finance professionals, so we'd trust our accountants to surface up any anomalies when preparing our statements. Today, after moving to a new accountant, we discovered that Osome has been making mistakes all over our financial statements for the past 2 years. A ton of financials were categorised incorrectly, leading to incorrect taxation and making it seem as if the company is in debt. It could not be more wrong. You'd be better off letting an intern do your accounting for you (don't do this).
Osome and specifically Farha have been a superb support throughout the process that has been my first limited company. Whilst this has been my first venture into running a business, Farha has guided me every step of the way make this as pain free as possible and have always been on had to any questions in a timely manner. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Stay away from Osome. They completed my VAT Return on the day it was due. This last-minute approach left me with an unexpected bill on the same deadline. The lack of timely execution and poor communication are disappointing. If you value prompt and reliable service, I recommend looking elsewhere.
One of the worst companies to work with. Here are the things that they don't tell you: 1. They will charge you or the ACRA/IRAS will charge you late filing fees because they're absolutely OVERWHELMED with accounting requests - so your Financial Statement will arrive late thus it's YOU who will have to bear the costs, 2. They tried to DOUBLE CHARGE us - but we pushed back and they agreed - for the XBRL filing fee, 3. They constaly push to upsell you accounting stuffs which - if you don't know the law - you'll probably agree to buy.

Incompetent and useless. As a client i feel like a ball, I am passed from one dept to another without clear instructions. I have to repeated my instructions multiple times and the problem is never resolved. One year later, I told them to terminate the Corp sec service and again, I was passed from one team to another. However, the only updates I have received is... my credit card is charged for another year of subscription. Can I ever trust a company like this?

Been with Osome for nearly 3 years and they have filed 2 CT returns and 2 SA returns for me. We do not have a lot of communications, but when things need doing they respond quickly and efficiently. I have had a great accountant called Kate Lokenbakha who was very diligent and efficient. Sad to have a new accountant. However, the new person Nelson has been very good at contacting me regarding my next VAT return.
Osome made accounting simple and Farha, my assigned accountant, was a huge support. I'd been told how frustrating accounting could be especially starting out in business but Farha was persistent, supportive, and knowledgeable throughout. I would highly recommend Osome.

I initially left a negative review because Osome was very slow in preparing statements and answering questions. Ultimately they came through and did it on time, and their attention to detail was excellent. Overall I'm a satisfied customer but I hope the process will be smoother next year.

Absolute shambles from the start. The on boarding was fine and everything went well until you paid for the services. Since then, not one thing has been done. Accountant is changed monthly, days between replies. Any requests aren't fulfilled. They are not UK Based so you have to book in phonecalls which could be next week, advice provided is conflicted. I'd avoid and go with your local accountant. Osome have bitten off more than they can chew and clearly can't handle the workload
