Absolutely awful experience. My partner purchased plane tickets from Ovago over a month in advance for the two of us to return home at the end of a trip. We were traveling with family members, who booked their tickets directly from the airline. The day before our flight, we realized our tickets (which, again, had been paid for a month in advance) were still pending, while our family members were not. When my partner reached out to customer service, the agent he spoke with did not believe his payment had gone through. When he provided proof of payment and ticket confirmation, he was told we would still not be able to take our flight, and that the tickets had been “standby tickets.” When he expressed frustration as he had not been informed he was paying over $500 for standby tickets, he was told that the agent could get us on the flight after all… for an additional $200 per person, for a service fee. Eventually, the agent lowered this to $100 per person. He could not give a coherent explanation for why we would have to pay more money to use the tickets we had already purchased. When asked for a supervisor, he provided a fake email address. He literally gave us “bettywhite at gmail dot com” which, if I need to elaborate on for anyone, was the name of a very famous actress and obviously a full mailbox. What an absolute insult, after extortion. Book literally elsewhere. The worst travel booking experience either of us have ever had.

What a complete SCAM folks. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We are supposed to leave for ITALY tomorrow morning and Ovago is saying that since we upgraded our seats, they cancelled the flight. Ovago is now trying to get more money out of us for another flight. PLUS, here's the kicker, the insurance that we purchased through them is now void because we upgraded our seats through the airlines. Biggest scam in the world.

My agent Brenda minimized the fact that I was in fact changing airports during my “layover”, stating that I changed planes in Osaka as she reviewed departure and arrival cities with me. Looking at the reservation it says “change planes” not transfer airports…so now I have to figure out how to change airports. Not helpful, somewhat deceitful. I probably won’t book again with OVAGO as every other cheap ticket place I have booked with highlights the difference between change planes and change airports and I don’t want to have to deal with this again. Also unhelpful that I can’t call my agent back.or that they don’t respond to the voice mails that the machines say “are important to us” I don’t feel important to you and since I can take my business elsewhere, I shall Update: I called the service line and they were able to refund my ticket and rebook me.

Awesome customer support. I had a flight ticket booking morning and due to some unexpected reason’s i need to cancel it. So, i contacted a customer support they really helped me a lot to get my ticket refunded. 👌

Agent Delaying Until More Expensive Their "agent" Barney offered to help look for discounts/alternative cheaper flights, but kept pushing for longer layovers saving only 20$ on an international flight. I said I would just do the original flight and he delayed 10 mins saying he was checking for a discount. He then finally returned to me saying the original flight was now more expensive hahahaha, so scammy.

Iris was extremely helpful at finding me the right flight with right balance of price vs flight time and departure date flexibility, baggage options. She seems to have much better access to flight options than I would ever do. I recommend you give this a try - there is nothing to lose and plenty to gain. As for IRIS - she is brilliant.

I never thought I would have this issue since OVAGO is a credible booking company… I paid for my flight to Cancun and I got a minimum of three calls and several emails from the OVAGO employee Leander P. He informed me since my flight has been booked and paid for I will need to “book” a seat for the connecting flight which starts at $80. I was quite confused because I already paid for my flight and I informed Leander “I don’t care where I sit I just want the cheapest option” yet, he said that was my only option to pick a seat and pay $80… I got frustrated and just told him to cancel my full flight I will just book through Expedia since this was the third time he called me because it’s not worth the headache on my end. Once Leander heard I wanted to cancel my full flight he then proceeded to tell me if you go to check in they will give you a seat which is free…. Really?!?! Honestly I will never book again due to that experience, I would give it 1 star but I think it was just my sales rep.

Was booking 5 roundtrip flights to India from US so was a lot of money ~$10k. Purchase didn't go through. They did call me right away and say they were working on it. Then later texted/emailed me that the fare had increased $2k. What's the point of showing fares that can't be booked? Waste of time and seems like a potential scam.

These people are scammers. Quoted me $5000 for 5 tickets. Upped the cost to $27,000 after I entered info. I did not authorized the increase. After speaking to the rep I said no to all flights. About 30 minutes later I got an unauthorized charge for $27000 to my credit card. When trying to get it canceled they did not provide me with a proper email confirming the cancelation.thank goodness I made the agent stay on the phone until I got the email because the one they sent me had a bad link. Do NOT use these scammers!! Book else ware. I am a regular traveler and have booked many many many trips. I’ve never experienced anything like is before!! Update. After 52 minutes of phone time I was provided with an email stating the money would be returned. The airline immediately (within a hour of the call) refunded their portion of $26,000 to my card. I’m still waiting on ovago’s portion to post days later. They say it will take 5-7 days. Somehow the airline didn’t need that long…..

I purchased a ticket with Ovago from JFK New York to Izmir Turkey with a connection at Milan. The ticket and the itinerary made it seem like a regular transfer at Italy. However, once I arrived at JFK I was informed that the transfer at Milan was a self transfer that required me to go through customs collect my luggage and reenter through customs. I did not have a visa to enter through Italian customs making it literally impossible for me to continue my flight if it wasn't for my spouse being able to enter Italy without a visa. Now we have to do the same thing on the way back and there is no guarantee that we will make it to the second flight. Ovago tells me to contact the airline, as if they were not misinforming me in the first place. Terrible experience, no help from customer service, avoid at all cost. Edit: Ovago in their reply to this comment tells me they do not handle visa related issues and all the details of the flight have been disclosed in the confirmation email I received. First, at no point in my complaint I suggested that I expected Ovago to handle visa related issues, all I am saying is that they did NOT disclose the fact that this flight was a self transfer at Milan. The issues related to visas happened BECAUSE they did not disclose this important fact in the confirmation emails I received. So still one star and shame on them to make it look like it was my oversight.
