We where very great full for everything, they gave us a chance to lower our interest. We are both retired and lowering the interest rate saves us around one hundred dollars a month. When you are on a fixed income that helps. Jason Staples was there to make sure everything went smooth, if we had a question he made sure we were given the answered. The other people we had contact were all so very help full.

Despite the complications of buying a home during the Coronavirus pandemic, the Pennymac team was supportive, understanding, and available when I needed assistance.
Good experience overall but delays in closing and in communication at times, probably caused by issues with the VA, the covid situation and people being overworked in general.
The process was quick and easy. PennyMac definitely has it streamlined. I highly recommend them.
Smooth refinance!!!
Jason and Liem made the whole process so smooth from beginning to end. Jason gave me all the information for me to get the loan and narrow it down to what would be the best route to take. While Liem kept updating me on the whole process of the loan just to make sure everything would go smooth. I like that they respect peopleβs time by asking if is ok for them to talk to you at this moment, if not they would gladly reschedule. Never felt rush.

Been with Pennymac since 2017, paid my mortgage loan on time most of the time early, fortunate to not need their assistance during Covid-19 (I am respectfully sorry for those that did need it and wish all my deepest blessings. I tried to refinance to take advantage of the new interest rates which they prompted me to do with one of their juicy emails but was declined for reasons that was not true. Credit report score is all wrong and couldnt verify income. I think the reality is this company didn't do the proper underwriter checks and balances and are not being truthful with their denial processes. In addition the communication was horrible as I only found out I was declined because I investigated it myself. I will be refinancing but it will be to get out from Pennymac. Good luck if you chose this lender.

Terrible system, customer service and experience. Tried to get payment help due to loss of income during Covid. Was forced into a forbearance that was a nightmare. They constantly call, but no one is there, you get a message asking for you to call back. You call back to only be prompted though all these hoops and endless messages and then sit on hold. Only to have them tell you they have still not processed it, even though I did my part, there no end in sight and now it may hider the closing, as I sold my house.
