In July, 2022, I signed up for the "forever free" plan. I was reviewing my credit card and imagine my surprise - in November they put 3 charges on the card for a total of 70.98. They really went to town on my credit in December, 2022 --- 280.92 in charges spread out over 9 separate payments. For a grand total of $351.90. WHAT about that is "forever free"??? I checked my Pigeonly account to see if I accidentally signed up for something I didn't want... Nope. The only charge there was $0 ---when I signed up for the 'forever free' account, which I've never used because it doesn't seem as if you can actually send anything with the forever free account. I am hopeful for a full refund. UPDATE Jan 31 2023 --- I did get a full refund - after reporting this to my credit card company and THEY refunded my money. When I contacted Pigeonly for a refund, they were polite. At one point I was told that once they were done researching, I'd get a full refund right away. In their next email - 'right away' became 3 - 14 BUSINESS working days... about 20 days. They are disorganized. They contridict themselves. And by the way, 14 business days turns out to be about 20. By then I'd gotten the credit card refund... but I was still curious to see how long their "refund" would take. 20 days? No - more like 24 actual days. They emailed me this sham bunch of emails AS IF they'd actually refunded me. Are they legit? Who knows.
Waste of time. Made to pay 20$ to send one letter. It took a week to get there and deliver, by then the person it was sent to was released. Then it won't let you cancel until a month after. Expect fraudulent charges on your credit card after the fact. Had to report my card and get a new one. Update: I did reach out to Pigeonly via email. They got back to me right away. They canceled my subscription right then and refunded my initial charge as well as the additional/unexpected charge.
I am devastated. They must have hurt so many people, and it could affect the mental welfare of millions of inmates when & if this happens . It happened to me. I have sent countless postcards and letters to someone who desperately needs them incarcerated in Oregon. I just now got a postcard from her saying “finally“ about hearing from me and I wrote her back with a Christmas card saying what do you mean “Finally”?…. I have sent you tons of letters-countless. So many came back, so I switched to Pigeonly. I can’t even count how many postcards through Pigeonly; they’d tell me “Congratulations ~your letter was sent!” No it wasn’t. So I’m devastated. I trusted them and I hate it when things like this happen. IT’S HEARTLESS & CRUEL. (Review remains because it’s sadly TRUE.)
This is what pigeonly states on their website: How long does it take for an incarcerated individual to receive non-legal mail? Within 24 hours of receipt, Pigeonly will open and scan incoming mail, share the electronic scan with IDOC for further screening, then print and prepare the mail for shipment. Printed mail is delivered to IDOC via Priority Mail and will be received at the appropriate facility within 1-3 days of shipment. Well, that’s a joke! It took my inmate 2 months to get a letter from me and one month to get several others! Then they tried to blame it on the USPS. When I filed a BBB complaint, Pigeonly admitted they were behind on processing the mail. 1. They are untruthful. 2. They are not properly fulfilling their contract with Iowa DOC. I am thoroughly disgusted with this agency. I have reported them to the Iowa DOC.
I want to cancel my subscription. Don't use it enough. They charged me twice in November. Everytime I call they say they are doing schedule maintenance. I want them to stop chargiing me.
Signed up for the 3 day trail and money $34.99 was still taken from my account after i cancelled my account the same day i activated it. Sent proof and everything on 11/07. No one answered the customs service line so i sent over an email. Was then told it would take 3-14 days to receive a refund still to this day no refund has been sent to my bank as i have sent yet another email over to the support email. This is beyond ridiculous.
They debited money from my card but I signed up for the forever free plan. I can’t get in contact with customer service because they don’t answer, just leave you on hold for forever. I did receive a refund after messaging customer support a few times. Thank you for resolving the issue.

Reported fraud and filed better business report. I have never used this company and have had 5 charges and 3 just this month. This is ridiculous. I can’t afford this scammy crap.
I have tried calling and emailing an still no response my pictures have been processing since October 18 2022 I need answers or a refund. This has never happened before what's going on with this service.
Pigeonly will take your monthly payment but have your pictures and cards sitting in printed or processed status for weeks. You are not getting what's being advertised or what u thought u were paying for. You can send customer service messages but they just come back with a generic answer and still do nothing! Don't trust your photos with them. It's a scam.
They're literally useless and they will charge for doing nothing. They charged 34.99$ twice over the span of a week even though I only had a forever free plan. I've contacted their support and I've yet to received an explanation as to why this has happened and they have still to refund my payment. Avoid this service at all costs- it's not worth it.

They have stolen $34.99 from my account for a forever free service.they had me on hold for 4 hours on the phone & nobody answered.i want them to remove my card from their system & delete my free account but so they don't steal from me again. My transaction says 0 and they keep charging me 34.99..this will be the second time I'm dealing with this site..wish I never did and how can they keep doing it to people..don't use this site!!!!
I used this site flawlessly for a while, then all if a sudden my number wouldn't work all the time, wouldn't upload the cash to my best rate number always blaming connect network saying they were having the problems After being promised everything would be working within 48 hours, I was then told 5 days, calling them from the UK worked out expensive so took my custom elsewhere.
In stead of billing me once every 3 months they charged the amount daily to my credit card and had to pay me back over 200! This app did work probably in Spring but something changed and orders are stuck for weeks, mail isn't send out and pictures are not being printed for weeks. You can only use it once every month and it's for that reason overpriced. Customer support isn't helpful, they never have a solution and only say they look into it, but of course... never do.
After using this service for a while problems started. Mail taking days to be sent and lies lies and more lies. 2 months ago the best rate number stopped working. I reported it and was told it would be working in 24-48 hours. two months later after numerous calls and emails Shock horror no working number. was told I would get a new number. Brilliant I thought. Now im being told to wait for that too due to technical department difficulties. the company is a joke.Then when you do get a reply on here from them they want you to call them!!! Same as always they expect the customer to chase them
My experience sucks they over charged me five times in my bank talk to a representative they said they were gonna reimburse me it's been a month and I still haven't gotten my $180 that's a lot of money for a person who works paycheck to paycheck

Jan 19,2023The other people on here I have been charging a total of 11 unauthorized $34.99 charged I have repeatedly sent emails and finally was able to get a hold of somebody via phone and was promised a few days ago by a supervisor that my card would not be charged again and here we are a few days later and there's another charge these people are criminals on top of the 3499 that they've charged to my card unauthorized 11 times I'm getting a $25 fee from my bank every time they do it. So if you're looking for a review whether or not to go ahead and use this service I highly suggest not I understand that you want to get in contact with your loved one in prison just like I did but you're going to regret it cuz you are going to end up bankrupt and homeless unless you're a millionaire
