Noisy Neighbours, living on benefits and playing x-box and watching tv all day. Damp houses. Problems with deposits never given and so on. Hartlepool

Treat absolutely appallingly. Promised a family friendly estate to live on with our two year old son. They moved a young couple in next door where he stands at all times of day/night at his back door smoking cannabis. Tried for 8 months for someone to do something and still no further forward. Had a summer where we couldn’t go in the garden because of the smell. We got our son a puppy for Xmas and we can’t even take him in the garden because of it. All we get is we will look in to it! Avoid Scholars View Hetton at all costs if you have children it is certainly not child friendly.

A terrible company that added to an already stressful situation. We would have chosen no stars if this was an option. As part of their process, Placefirst forced us to move in at an earlier date than we were ready for (which should have been a red flag), but in spite of this we reduced our current tenancy date with our current landlord since our application with Placefirst was approved... only to be told that we were all of a sudden not approved (after we had already shortened our current tenancy date), which forced us to find a new property to move into within 1 week! When I spoke to the lady on the phone, who had been rude throughout the whole application process and told us lies, she informed me that we would get our holding deposit back even though the paperwork said this was non-refundable, we are yet to receive this (it has been 3 weeks). Luckily, we found a much better property with professional management who are organised, who know what they are doing and are friendly. We strongly do not recommend this company to other tenants looking to rent.

Secure walk in gate is broken will not shut its been over a year Back courtyard and parking bays overgrown with weeds,green moss all over road Paint all over tarmac from a job that was done in summer ,when we first moved in 6/7yrs ago was clean and tidy ,gardeners kept it very tidy even had window cleaner now nothing at all Balconies are leaking into kitchen,work was being done to repair this but seems to have stopped Flooring bubbling up and some torn due to radiator leaking but they are not interested its down to us Shower in bathroom leaking into sitting room ceiling ,finally got it sorted after a year of complaining The site manager is a total waste of space nothing gets done the gate has been reported on numerous occasions but nothing done,bag heads walking through of a night looking in gardens it was advertised as secure parking which is £20 extra a month on top of the £800 rent had nothing but trouble trying to get work done in house all the paint in bathroom peeled off the wall that took weeks to get done ,their maintenance team are a joke,cupboard doors falling off the kitchen,oven died 4wks before Christmas said it would be sorted but took 9 wks so no oven for Christmas was a nightmare was at my wits end the kids were not happy thank God for the mother in law and takeaways.They don't seem to care once your in and paying rent I Have got intouch with local newspaper to come and do a article on the state of the place ,for the money they charge and the hot air they give you how wonderful their services are ,Like I said Place First Tenants Last ... Looking for a decent property to rent give this one a miss..

Part finished, overpriced homes in some of the worst areas imaginable. They don’t respond to maintenance requests. Save yourself the time and money and give yourself a wide berth.

Every time we report a fault or needed repair, it can be weeks before anything is done. I don't think they have Key Point Indicators in which to work towards. They send contractors like JWS who a well below par and the jobs they do always have to be done again. Also the house rents are very high and the grounds are not cared for properly.

Absolutely disgusting. Happy to let tenants live in mouldy, rotting houses that flood continuously due to the poor quality work completed by place first. Left unable to use kitchen or living room for almost a year. Completely disgusting company.

Absolutely shocking company, avoid like the plaque. Holes in my walls which have been bonded brick ties have gone and side wall is bulging but there in no rush to fix it, boiler is thermostat controlled as they haven't bothered to put in a timer not good when your up at 4am for work. Garden floods in heavy rain (not near a river) 6 inch thick concrete in places but they sent someone to fork it. 24 hour maintenance team isn't actually 24 hours you log a problem on a Sunday and get rang back of a call centre to say a hole in external wall ain't an emergency.
