Enjoyed a truly relaxing autumn break at Ash Tree Cottage in Bosherston - one of the best times of year to visit as we had the Lilly ponds and the beautiful beaches nearby to ourselves most of the time! The cottage was beautifully clean with super comfortable beds and everything we needed was there - even an extra supply of wine should we have run out! The ‘Welcome Pack’ was one of our best yet – fresh bread, Welsh butter, milk, eggs and the doggy treats were a big hit Aunty Vi’s Tea Rooms is a ‘must’ to visit for coffee and homemade cakes or the cheese on toast at lunchtime. St Govans Inn, round the corner was lovely, such a warm welcome for ourselves and very pet friendly plus good pub grub and real ales. Freshwater West and Angle Bay are within an easy drive for blustery beach walks to enjoy and both pet friendly all year round. Really enjoyed our time and a very big ‘Thank you’ to Jackie and Steve for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. Sue, Mark and ‘Mayumi’, the dog from Thailand

Booked Estuary View Cottage to go with a few friends and its such a lovely, well-equipped house with amazing views over the Estuary, hence the name Estuary View Cottage. We were a short walk from a lovely restaurant/pub, which offered great food and good customer service and also about a ten-minute walk to Poppit Sands beach Would defiantly recommend this cottage to anyone, defiantly one of the favourites I have stayed at.

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff when booking cottage. Cottage was in a fantastic location of Dale pembrokeshire, we found the cottage exactly as described online. We had all of the important information well in advance so no panicking at the last minute. Thank you so much for our wonderful break.

We chose the cottage from the Quality Cottages’s website which easy to use. Excellent communication from Fiona who was very helpful. Y Stablau was a delightful cottage down a lane in a field with sheep in the fields nearby. In an excellent position, almost halfway between Barmouth and Harlech. Plenty to do and very dog friendly. The cottage was cosy, clean ,like stepping back in time with the advantage of some modern facilities. All round a great place to stay. I would recommend Quality Cottages when looking for a holiday in Wales.

Returned from our holiday on the Gower Peninsular on Saturday. We stayed at Cob/Corn Cottage just outside of Rhossili Bay. The location of he accommodation was superb but that is about the only plus. The Cottage was very tired and shabby. The owners are clearly milking holiday makers and in return aren’t even having the property cleaned in between lets. Here’s a list of the faults: Weed ridden patio area, Unmopped floors throughout, greasy kitchen, mouldy washing machine, rusty fridge, filthy windows, poorly functioning cooker, very old marked/stained bedding. On the plus side you get clean, reasonably new towels, hot water, Welsh cakes and a jar of jam which I guess makes it all ok!? Steer well clear.

Just booked with this company. Invited everyone to come look at the cottage and told family abroad who booked flights. Then had a call to day that it is already booked over the Christmas period. Rubbish they will have it on for more money nearer the time. The fact now that I have to wait for my money to be refunded before I can book another place is a joke. I’m not the only one BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Just received the comment bellow, and an email saying that they are not a bank so I have to wait to get my deposit back, Quality Cottages yeah that helps. So If the owners new immediately why did they only notify me in the morning, and why did it still let me book a the cottage. That says to me the system you use fails and anyone can be caught in the trap. It’s unacceptable that your company just left it at that, you should of been offering compensation at the least. Don’t worry I had to break the news to the families, you just sit there and make sure your sorted. ! JOKE

My husband and I have just had a week in Abertas Cottage in the quiet village of Llangwm, a good base for exploring Pembrookshire by car. Attractive little cottage with all the amenities we needed. Everything worked except reception for WiFi. The living space was roomy for us and the big settee comfortable. We both slept well and appreciated the gentle decor of the room. The paper work provided by our hosts was excellent and they responded to a couple of phone calls when we had queries. Having a village shop on hand was a real bonus, but we never got as far as the pub! But we did have an enjoyable walk past the rugby and cricket pitches and down to the river inlet. A happy week. Thank you Sara and Graham.

We stayed at Keepers Cottage St Ann's head Dale Pembrokeshire last week. Standard of the accommodation is poor.. Very shabby.. Needs a thorough deep clean. When we arrived the shower rooms had not been cleaned.. Collette the caretaker came that evening and cleaned the shower rooms and brought fresh towels. She also brought wine and chocolate later in the week as a goodwill gesture which we appreciated. There was only one decent wine glass which is ridiculous for four people. The grouting in both showers is appalling.. The shower drain in the smaller bedroom is so clogged that it was impossible to stay in the shower for more than two minutes before the shower tray overflowed on to the floor. The setting is gorgeous and the beds were comfortable. We were extremely disappointed in our choice of accommodation to say the least.

I booked a cottage in Pembrokeshire on Friday after seeing it on the site the previous day then got a call from them saying they would reject my payment as their web designers had priced it incorrectly ( yes I know it's not the web designers that adds content) my credit card account says the payment is still pending. Tried to contact the company by phone, no answer and I cannot send them an email or chat via their website due to technical issues! Wondering if this is a legit company?

If it was possible to give ZERO stars, I would. This company is absolutely APPALLING. We went to St Ann's Head last August (2018). There was NO WORKING BOILER in the property and they said it could not be replaced whilst we were there (they had not told us before we left or whilst we were travelling and they sent one man only to try to fix it just once). The pictures of the garden of the property were also incredibly misleading as, when we arrived, it was FILTHY and completely overgrown. They tried to make us move to another property that was TOTALLY unsuitable for us (they knew my husband was disabled and this other property was miles down a rough track and had handles that fell off doors leaving you locked inside). When we would not go there, they told us they had done everything they were legally obliged to do and would give us back LESS THAN A QUARTER of the money we had paid them IF WE LEFT that day (just 24 hours after arriving!) and when we refused, they would not communicate further about this with us except to keep repeating that we had to leave. The day before we left, someone came whilst we were out and mowed the lawn, so we had ONE DAY we could sit in the garden. When we got to the end of the week they gave us LESS THAN one third of what we had paid them and obviously thought it was acceptable to give us this much for a house where we had had to wash in a bath that took 20 kettles to get just an inch of water. The agency protected the owners and would not give us any means of communicating with them except to speak to their CLEANER. Also, someone who had had a key to the front door of our property had left it on the path outside for anyone to pick up (which we only realised after it was handed in to us by a very kind neighbour several days into our holiday). The key that we were meant to use had been put into a keysafe on the wall, which was so rusted we almost couldn't get it out when we first arrived and we then couldn't get it open again to leave it at the end. The whole property had parts of it falling off into the garden at the back and onto the front drive. It was in a disgusting shape and they had charged us £1,300 to stay for a week, giving us back £400 for staying WITHOUT ANY HOT WATER FOR A WHOLE WEEK and no garden to use for 6 DAYS. I have photos of this property still if anyone wants to see them published. REPLY TO THEIR REPLY BELOW: I too have the emails to which she refers: on 7th August I wrote at 10.44am to say that I ONLY wanted to hear from them by email from then on as their telephone conversations had been so outrageously appalling. I said in that MORNING email that I would not be able to see any more emails until the morning of the 9th, 48 hours later, as it was my husband's birthday and our anniversary and we did not want to spoil them with any more ghastly phone calls from this dreadful company who kept refusing to give us our money back. She then wrote an email at the very end of that same day (7th at 4.36pm WITHIN THE 48 HOURS I HAD SAID I WOULD NOT SEE ANY EMAILS) to say that if we left the property by 10am the following morning (!!That's 17 hours from her email, over night and during our period of celebrations for which we had come away in the first place and shopped for!!) we would get our money back. Of course, she KNEW from my previous email that I would not see her 'offer' until 24 hours after she had set a deadline to leave. If anyone out there thinks this is a reasonable and proper offer, then by all means use this company as I am sure you will get the same kind of treatment should you have any problems. Personally, I think it is beyond belief that a company behaves in this way. Of course this offer was totally cynical: made in the KNOWLEDGE that we would not see it until after her 'deadline' had expired. What I am sure all readers will think is that a) she should have given us our money back straight away, as soon as it became obvious that we had no choice but to stay in a place that had NO HOT WATER for a week and b) the company should NEVER have been trying to make us LEAVE at all. They could have done many things to make our stay a lot less dreadful. For instance, there was an open fire there which they could have provided logs for as we had no heating either in the evenings. They could have found us access to clean water and showers at a nearby hotel. THEY COULD HAVE MOWED THE LAWN. THEY COULD HAVE SPENT EXTRA MONEY TO GET THE BOILER REPAIRED AS AN EMERGENCY so that we could have what we'd paid for. They could have come round to bring flowers, wine, gifts to apologise. But NONE of this happened. Instead we were bullied with a barrage of demands to leave the property without a full refund (until the time when they knew we wouldn't see their 'offer'!). There was another property they had free and available but because it was a very large property, they did not want us to have that and did not offer it. The property they tried to give us was in a bad state of repair and the 'sea view' she describes was in the extreme distance and could only be seen on a clear day, whereas the one we had booked was literally on the headland. Also, as I said above, they KNEW about the boiler before we left (confirmed to all 3 of us by the woman we met in the office on our second day, whose name I do have). Although they did not have a mobile number, they DID have an email address which, given that we all use smart phones, would have been the obvious way to communicate with us anyway! So, in conclusion, I think you can see that this company just don't want to help if they can possibly avoid having to spend any money and think they can get away with something by bullying instead. If they had done the right thing and given us our money back instantly, this whole experience would have been very different. They could still do so, but, as you can see from their reply below, they are more interested in self-justification than customer satisfaction. They also don't seem to live in the world of reality. She says they get five stars from others, but I can see only one other pretty bad review which ALSO says they had no boiler and had to stay in for it to be repaired... so no surprises there...

I was a member of a party of a family of four adults with an 18 month old child who rented The Dairy, Marloes at the end of May and encountered some problems. There was an ongoing boiler problem in the property which unfortunately reached its zenith during our rental with water flooding the utility room unless the water supply was turned off. We were advised that a new boiler would be fitted on the last full day of our holiday which unfortunately meant we were without both water and electricity on that day. In addition, the plumber brought along his dog which he allowed to run through the house while he was working which was totally unacceptable. We had to ask him to remove the dog. We requested and received a rental discount but in addition, as a family, we did feel that the new boiler work should have been carried out on the changeover day, and not take a whole day out of our holiday which had already been greatly inconvenienced by the boiler problem. In addition the standard of cleanliness in The Dairy was generally not to a good standard, the cooker was greasy and there was a used greasy tray inside the oven. I understand dogs are permitted in the property, in which case a deep clean needs to be undertaken of the furnishings in The Dairy as one of our party had flea bites when sitting on the sofa on several evenings. Flea bites are quite distinguishable from insect bites so we can say they were definitely fleas. I contacted Quality Cottages with these concerns a month ago, in particular the problem with flea bites, but have not had the courtesy of a response from management, which is very disappointing.
