As a regukar Railtrail client the customer service team are so friendly and helpful. What is really good is that you can deal with the same person every time you call. Oh, and by the way a good range of tours too.
Contacted Railtrail via their web-site on a Sunday and asked for a call-back, which I got on Monday morning. Was easily able to talk through options before committing to a booking.
A wonderful experience travelling through some of the most stunning scenery, using both the Glacier Express & Bernina Express, everything was well organised and we felt like part of a family by the end of the tour. Hotels were excellent and we were looked after well by the staff through from booking to the day of travel.

Railtrail have still got "that personal touch". Unlike some other much bigger travel companies in this sector, Railtrail are a family run business who seem to genuinely care for their customers and staff. They also limit the passenger numbers on their tours to make sure everyone gets a great holiday. Being part of a smaller group makes it easier to get to know your fellow travellers and ensures that the tour manager can give everyone the attention they need.

Excellent tour, super scenery + wonderful weather. Everyday was different and brilliant, the tours , hotels and a good group of people.
The program was very good value for money but had not made it clear that everyday involved an early start and there was little or no free time anywhere. I should have worked that out for myself but l didn't. The hotel was a bit basic but conveniently situated for the station. I think if you run this again you should emphasize it is planned to get in as many trains as possible and has early starts everyday. Loved the trains.
The tour featuring steam railways was well thought out and not too fast paced with ample time at most stops to be able to fully explore the site. The tour guide was well informed and worked hard to ensure that we all had the necessary information for a smooth running day.

The booking was easy to complete and the information was excellent. The excursions were good and the Tour guide knowledgeable and looked after us well. The hotel was abit of a walk away from the station which could have been a problem for the slightly less able . The hotel was slightly on the quirky side. One of the lifts not working could have been a problem accessing the restaurant which was on the top floor. Overall a very enjoyable holiday
