Jul 03,2024When I received my order for 2 sections (06 and 07) of their InfinitubeV series carbon fiber tubes I was immediately surprised by how rough the finish was on the tubes. The description on their website does not make it clear that "unfinished" (which is the default) means that the tubes will have a rough textured finish. It only describes that the "optional custom sanding" reduced the OD by a small amount and that the sanding process also removed the outer cello wrap gloss finish. The description mentions nothing about the smoothness or textural differences between sanded and un-finished tubes. A glossy tube would have been fine as long as it was smooth. They use the term "Good aesthetic" to describe the finish of the custom sanded tube which unfortunately does not provide any objective description. The bottom line is that the rough finish on the tubes that I received is not suitable for the application I need them for. I need a smooth and quiet sliding action between the tubes and these do not achieve that. IMO a smooth finish should be the default and the rough unfinished should be an option. I immediately attempted to contact customer service multiple times by phone and by sent an email to: orderstatus@rockwestcomposites dot com over a week ago with no response to see what can be done with my unfinished tubes.

May 30,2024Communication and on time delivery, I place an order on 12/13/24 and I still don't have it. It took me calling and emails several times to find out why I hadn't received the poles yet. Try to track the shipment and the number I get isn't the correct number. My costumer is wanting to pull the order and I was told i would have them this week, but I have not received them yet.
