Went into my local Schuh and everyone in there seemed nice and friendly and helped me pick out the perfect brand new pair of trainers. Will be visiting again if I need more trainers. Excellent experience!
I have never experienced such difficulty and lack of communication with ordering online. They delivered my shoes somewhere in England (I live in wales…) with no correspondence that I’d missed a delivery or where they were. I had to pester on twitter for a redelivery and they were marked as delivered in my nearest post office when they were never delivered there in the first place. I was told they were being redelivered to my address. I chased this up and it turns out they’re out of stock but didn’t bother to contact me. It’s now been 5 weeks and I’ve not received my order and will have to have a refund. Not once did I receive any email update on what was happening with my shoes. Don’t place an order here unless you want your time wasted and patience tested
Shoes I purchased for school fell papart in a few weeks and Schuh said they would only accept a return if I sent them to head office, obviously leaving my child shoeless for school. I took photos they wouldn't accept and asked for me to pay postage with no guarentee of an exchange. Absolutely terrible customer serice and even worse product.
Good value shoes with 15% discount code offer. Delivered within two days with free delivery. All good. Thanks.
VORSICHT!
My experience is ongoing from the 14th October to today. I ordered some Converse trainers for my grandaughter's boyfriend. They arrived as promised but the box was badly damaged. The trainers and outer packaging were fine which makes me think that the box was damaged before it left the warehouse. I asked if they could forward a new box flat packed and they said no they didn't have a spare. I believe the box is as important as the content. So I have to accept what they say but I'm not happy.
Amazes me that companies spend shed loads of money on marketing to get us through their door only for the people in the store to be crap in their own processes! Here's the story: My daughter was set on a pair of Nike trainers ( not cheap ). Went to a few other places JD, Sports direct etc and they had no stock in Bournemouth. Went onto Schuh's website and they had a pair available so proceeded to click and collect- Had a confirmation email and off we popped.... All happy. On arriving at the store I walked upto the assistant and proceeded to show her the confirmation email and she went to get the trainers- she came back and then said " all I need is a proof of address" At which point I advised that I paid via google pay and I dont carry any form of ID- She asked " can you get something up online"? Normally I am quite accommodating and try to resolve any issues and advised that I was surprised I needed a proof of address as I had confirmation and payment details to which I was confronted by the usual SS Response of " Das Ist Da Rules "! At this point I was slightly perplexed and started to get annoyed as the assistant stood in front of me holding the trainers waiting for me to prove my existence and that I am a paying customer that Schuh have gained via a lovely website and scarcity of product! I asked again " are you sure i need proof" She said " yes" I advised that I would sit on the stool provided and try and find something on my phone- I called my wife and said can you ping me some id like a passport of bill as I need to prove that I have purchased a PAIR OF TRAINERS!! unfortunately my wife laughed and advised that she was at the checkout in Sainsbury's having her eyes scanned for a tin of soup ( apologies I can't resist ). I then went back to the original email and guess what!! Under the heading "paid by google pay " it explained that I could present the card details in my phone wallet as proof! I went back to the assistant who at this point had returned the trainers to the stock room and was having a nice chat with her colleague ( who I think was the Manager ). I showed her the email and pointed out that it explained I didn't need proof of address at all.... at which point the " Manager" looked at the card numbers and said yes that's fine- and off she went to get the trainers. She handed me them - I said thank you..... 20 minutes wasted in sore on a transaction that should have been seamless.... NO APOLOGY WAS OFFERED REGARDS HER MISTAKE BY HER OR HER COLLEAGUE. I JUMPED IN DELLIGHT AND EXLAIMED " I F****ING WON!!! " I never thought that buying a pair of trainers in the year 2022 was like having an arm wrestle!! TRAIN YOUR STAFF IN YOUR PROCESSES..... Never going back... but will of course wave my middle finger everytime I pass. All the best JJ
I sent a pair of shoes back to Schuh that I should have sent back to another supplier. Got my labels mixed up. They found them in their warehouse and have sent them back to me free of charge. Lovely customer service reps and I really didn't expect ever to see the shoes again. Will definitely buy from them if this is an example of their customer service.
Poor service. Went in to buy a pair of shoes today, they were in the sale. Clearly labelled up at £15.99 reduced from £25. I thought great bargain. But got to the till and was told they are £25. They refused to honour the sale price. Very disappointed. I rung customer support at head office and again refused to honour the sale price. Only offered a discount off the £25
I placed an order on Wednesday and was very pleased when it arrived on the Friday! However, on arrival the new pair of vans I ordered has scuffs on the sole. I contacted web chat, and was told to email them pictures. This was Saturday morning and I still haven't heard back. I also ordered crocs in a size 6 and 7, and I think they in fact sent the wrong sizes, now having reordered them elsewhere. I am disappointed with this service. I have now dropped my order off for returns and will not be purchasing from Schuh again.
It’s a shame that Schuh associate themselves with Evri to delivery their parcels…
Order some Ralph Lauren shoes as a birthday gift for my partner, full priced items not sale and this is how they have arrived. So disappointed, they look second hand - impossible to proudly gift these now! So disappointed. Order number:1985573901
Ordered some Dr Marten sandals tried them on in my living room were too big so wanting a 6/12 instead of a 7 they didn’t do that size. Sent them back an they claim to have lost them. When threatened with trading standards they magically reappeared. They then said they wouldn’t replace them as they had been worn. Sent them back to me and there isn’t a scratch. Don’t use this company scammers I would add pictures to this but I can’t see anywhere I can upload
Went into Schuh Watford today and the beautiful lady Jill ( wonderful Irish accent ) served my wife and I and it was a truly wonderful experience. Professional and bubbly and we could have bought shoes all day. What an asset the shop has and should be rightfully rewarded for making your company shine. Well done Jill keep being you.
I visited the Trafford centre branch today, Schuh kids with my daughter Imogen. We were served by Ellie, who is an absolute asset to the company and was so lovely and friendly with my 2 year old daughter. Thank you Ellie 😊
Honestly couldn't fault their customer service teams on livechat and over the phone when I placed the order. I tried to order some ex display but the student discount would not work. Phoned up and they placed the order for me and refunded the discount. The ex display shoes are amazing as well for the price 👏🏼. The website codes need sorting but customer service is top tier. I would recommend
Recently bought shoes which did not fit me, it had been a month but they accepted to exchange it and the new shoes came so quick! Much happier with the new shoes & the 365 policy comes in handy!
Received my order and needed to exchange for a smaller size. I returned the shoes through InPost two weeks ago now and have still not received the exchange. Tracking information is showing the item has been picked up but that it has now not moved for 10 days. I emailed customer services with the tracking number and proof of postage and they are refusing to send me my exchange item as the parcel is lost! This should be an issue for Schuh to resolve with the courier and my exchange should still be sent to me. A lost parcel is not my responsibility. I am hugely disappointed as I expected a trustworthy service from such a large company. Even small independent companies honour returns even if the parcel is lost, when the customer can provide proof of postage.
Everything arrived just in time for new school term

Oct 27,2022Returns process is appalling. Had proof that shoes were received on 21st September via InPost but no refund had been processed. Spoke to LiveChat operator and they said I'd contacted them by phone on 29th September (I hadn't) to say the shoes had been sold on eBay! And advised me to contact the eBay seller- how on earth would I do that and this couldn't be true as the shoes had been received by them 8 days prior, how they couldn't see that this made no sense at all is beyond me. Kept saying "this is what my colleague as said happened"- *face palm* After a battle to try and them see sense, they put the refund through however it then took ages to receive the confirmation via email I had asked for- it's not a big leap to think that this was stalling after the mad story I'd been sold. Felt they were totally reluctant to administer the refund in any way they could. Absolute madness and will never shop with them again
