Jun 04,2021I got a number of quotes for roof cleaning and coating and Smartshield were over fifty percent cheaper than the next cheapest quote. I was somewhat sceptical about what the result would be but Smartshield have not compromised on the quality of the product or the workmanship. Our roof now looks new and I would recommend this company to anyone.

May 02,2021The work carried out roof cleaning, treating,pointing, painting tiles, cladding all soffits, barge boards, replacing all gutter to upvc and replacing the roof vallies. Danny is a top craftsman along with Ethan also with the help of Stuart the boss have carried out the most fantastic transformation I could of have asked for and are the nicest contractors you could want to meet. My bungalow looks like a new build. They worked through some horrible weather. They all never stopped grafting they are all committed to perfection and have pride in the work. Stuart and his guys took a lot of extra work and agreed a price on the spot his prices are the best around quality at a fantastic price. Apr 28,2021I did a lot of research to find a good company to clean our roof. First I was amazed by the presentation given by Chris, he explained me the whole process and replied to all my questions. Communication was great. The quote was very thorough and the cheapest I found. We are so pleased we used Smartshield company for our roof. It looks brand new!!! Incredible, in fact all our neighbours came around to say how beautiful it is. The work on our 5 bedroom house was carried out in a day and the team was very good! They arrived on time and worked non stop. They made sure we protect our cars, neighbours cars and other items in the garden. I had not realised how much mess it will involve but the guys cleaned as much as they could afterwards which was great! They also replaced some tiles (we are still waiting on a few that they didn’t have on the day) and gave some recommendations. Now we are waiting for the final coat to be applied. I was slightly disappointed when the work could not start on the day we had planned but these things happen so I am still giving a 5 star review. We are very pleased with our roof and would absolutely recommend Smartshield. We are planning to get fascia and soffits done next with them. Thanks again to the team.

Apr 28,2021Update: Hurrah, finally resolved. Judging by other reviews for work carried out at the same time looks like my problems were a one off! Original Review: Cleaned and sealed roof and looks fine although it took two visits, not sure why when could have been completed in one visit.Cracked roof tiles (3 as far as I can see), missing tile and grouting still not completed after two months. Still waiting for receipt for payment. Communication is very poor, do not reply to follow ups and still waiting for completion. Chris

Apr 19,2021Great service. Not the cheapest quote I had for a roof clean but they did a brilliant job. We’d always thought our roof tiles were dark grey but turns out they were red! Nick and Mike cleaned away all the mess after too, even where the dirt missed the tarpaulins they’d laid down. Replaced three roof tiles and regrouted a few of the ridge tiles. Would definitely recommend.

Mar 18,2021We had our roof cleaned by Danny and Joe today. They worked like Trojans and did an excellent job, cleaning, replacing broken tiles and clearing up afterwards - and I am fussy! This is a messy noisy job but they were helpful, courteous and cheerful throughout. They also were respectful with our elderly neighbours and cleared up any moss that fell onto their properties/gardens. We recommend this company without reservation. We had a quote from another firm more local to us, which was more expensive and they also wanted some money in cash. Smartshield however, were professional in payment method, confirmation quotes and email communication. And our roof looks fab!

Mar 03,2021Mike and Nick spent most of the day working really hard removing years of moss and algae. Result AMAZING above my expectations. Fixed lose tiles and render some areas which were removed during the cleaning. Cleaned a mass of moss and sludge away leaving the area clean. Will defo recommend.

Feb 24,2021The reason we chose Smartshield in the first place was because they use roofers to complete the cleaning job on the roof. This was especially important to us as we were aware of a possible leak somewhere in the roof and hoped whichever tiles were causing the issue could be professionally replaced or fixed. They also provided a very competitive quote in comparison to many others (offering a far lesser service). On the day, Nike and Mike were a pleasure to deal with. They did a fantastic job on the roof, tidied up all of the moss afterwards, cleaned the windows and drain pipes out, and (importantly) replaced a number of tiles and fixed some of the cement work on the roof (for no extra cost). We cannot recommend them highly enough, and have been to various people who have already commented on our 'new roof'!.

Feb 23,2021My roof looks like new ! Today I had Nick and Mike come to my house to clean my roof and I am soooo pleased with the result. They have both worked non stop all day and nothing was too much trouble for either of them. If your considering having a roof clean, I highly recommend this company and the method they use to clean the roofs.

Feb 10,2021Excellent service and communication from Stuart and the Plymouth team. 10 year+ moss growth cleared in a day giving incredible results. We were worried we needed a complete new roof but this was a way better and eco conscious decision made easy. Would very highly recommend.

Jan 31,2021Great service. After the clean the guys tidied everything up. The process of cleaning the roof makes a mess everywhere around the house but once the work was done everywhere was spotless. The teams were great. Polite fast aware of neighbours and the sleeping of our babies. Couldn't rate the company or team highly enough.

I found them on Google searching for "Roof Moss Removal" I filled in an application for a quote and within hours I had a call from the company owner Stuart, who looked at my house on Google earth and gave an immediate quote substantially cheaper than the quotes I already had, I accepted the quote and the job was done within two weeks, absolutely brilliant. My roof looks like new and several of my neighbours have taken the contact details as they were so impressed with it.
