Jul 23,2019We have a lovely thirties house with the original roof, which over the years has become discoloured and covered in moss and other vegetation. We talked with Smartshield and booked them for the work, which involved high power jet tools and anti moss treatment. David and Czarek were the best workers! They were professional and efficient. Everything they did, they did with good nature and a desire to do their absolute best job. It was hard and dirty and they worked a very long day. The result is a beautiful clean roof with all the original colour in the tiles back. David and Czarek replaced any broken tiles and they repointed where necessary. We are absolutely delighted and would recommend this company without hesitation.

Jul 20,2019I have been on the hunt for the best roof cleaning service for a while. And trust me, the reviews given before here say it all, so I will just confirm the fantastic service there is. After arranging the date and the service for our roof to be cleaned with Stuart and Lisa which responded promptly each time, the boys Patrick and Peter came and did a great job. I doubt our roof has been cleaned since 1930s when the house was built but now can't be let unnoticed. My wife was so impressed when she saw it that could not believe the difference before and after. Patrick and Peter cleaned all the mess after as there was never so much dirt from the roof. Changed some broken tiles and even did the extra mile by going back to the shop to get bracket for one of the gutters. So if you are looking for having a nice and clean roof, you know where to go.

Jul 18,2019Hard working group of roofers, very knowledgeable, respectful and ready to go the extra mile to do a good job. My roof was very large and in a very dirty condition. Chas and Dave, and 2 more colleagues, worked well into the evening to finish the job. They replaced every last broken tile, disposed of the waste and cleaned the surroundings. They even repointed my ridge tiles. Top class work for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Jul 09,2019The first stage of the work has been completed by Chas and Dave, Unbelievably hard working duo, they just did not stop all day, all the outdoor furniture was removed beforehand then they sheeted up the surrounding area before commencing the work. At the end of the job they replaced all the items and cleaned down. I would totally recommend these very polite people.

Jul 07,2019Mixed feelings. The job is good, they work very hard. But they were prepared to take liberties with neighbours' property that I believe verge on trespass. The boss promised to remedy the upset caused, but delivered absolutely nothing on his promises. Caveat emptor.

Jul 01,2019Had my roof cleaned by smartshield uk in October 2018 they done a fantastic job for me.so I arranged with Stuart to contact me in June for a clean and coating on my brother Paul’s house,Stuart didn’t let me down he contacted me in June as he promised and today mark and steve from smartshield turned up 8am on the dot worked like Trojans all day long ,what a result my brother cannot believe the transformation of his roof so I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stuart and Lisa at smartshield for the brilliant job you have done for not letting me down wonderful informative information you gave over the phone keeping me informed every step of the job and also your crew mark and steve was so polite hardworking can be missing nowadays but not by this company thank you smartshield I wish you all the best in the future James

Jun 18,2019My brother and I are selling a big old house. From friends opinions they thought the roof looked bad. I googled and came across a chemical roof cleaner and watched the videos on YouTube. It’s a very gentle way of cleaning a roof unlike jet washing it. It also carries on cleaning the roof for a while after it’s been applied. I found that the company licenses it to professionals to apply it so I called the local company and came across Lisa at Smartshielduk. Lisa was really patient with me and, after some delays caused by myself, we organised a date for the lads to turn up to do the job. I also found out that while they are cleaning the roof (they are professional roofers by trade) they would replace any broken tiles and do any repointing too as part of the price! Being disabled, housebound and bedbound I was quite worried that there might be problems with myself not being able to be on site on the day of the job.... I got a call from Stuart, one of the lads who was going to do the job, and he said that’s not a problem! They just needed the address and would be fine by themselves. I’ve had plenty of experience with trades and, I think it’s fair to say, I was surprised (pleasantly) and time would tell if everything would be ok... Well, today was the day... I had no phone calls this morning so Stuart and Co. were fine just turning up and getting on with it! My brother managed to pop out from work mid morning just to check that they were fine. My brother called me and said they know what they’re doing and they’re just cracking on with it. At about 16.30 (they started at 08.30) I got a call from Stuart saying they’re all finished. He sent me the photos and because the house is attached I can, in effect, see a before and after! They’ve done a brilliant job! They replaced 50ish tiles, did several bits of pointing and, obviously, cleaned the roof, the tiles on the front of the house and the separate garage. So all in all I’m really happy. It’s was a good price, done by professional roofers, it looks good and I know the roofs been checked over too. All without me having to move. I can’t ask for more than that!

Jun 15,2019Have sent 3 e-mails with photos of work we wanted a quote for - no reply or response from Smartshield. Telephoned 3 times and spoke to Stuart who promised me twice he would look at the e-mails and get back to me with a quote - nothing! Have given the job to another company. We used this company in March 2018 and spent over £1000. We most certainly were a client of yours. Our review is indeed 100% genuine. We were offering your the opportunity to come back to clean our stonework. You asked for photographs on e-mail. These were provided 3 times. I also telephoned 3 times although it was actually probably more but the phone just rang and rang.

Jun 11,2019Two guys turned up to clean our roof and generally did a decent job, working pretty hard throughout the day. Whilst I was happy with the roof clean, they didn't replace cracked roof tiles as advertised. Instead they used some kind of cement to fill the cracks - doesn't look great as it's a different colour to the actual tiles. They also made quite a bit of mess around the property which wasn't expected.

Jun 06,2019Quote very easy to obtain over the phone followed up with full written quote on email. 2 young men arrived at 10am and completed a very difficult job including cleaning up by 8.00pm. A superb job all around cannot praise them enough. Highly recommend K J Evans

May 22,2019We live in a seaside property with seagulls nesting on the roof and hence with all their mess encouraging moss to form. After a conversation with Stuart giving us a date to arrive and the work to be done. Dave and Chaz arrived having travelled from London to North Wales They got straight to work cleaning the roof and treating to keep the moss from returning. They cleaned up after them selves and did a throughly good job. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. None stop work Thank you all a job well done

May 21,2019Peter and Patrick were fantastic workers. They have done a brilliant job. Everywhere was cleaned to perfection after the roof was done. They even put all the pot plants back in situ. Would recommend them to anyone. Stuart was very professional with informing us what would be happening on the day.

From washing all the moss away, treating the roof and cleaning after themselves, they did a very very good job and were very professional. They arrived right on time, confirmed with me what was to be done. They were polite and hardworking guys. They cleared the roof and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards with no issues.
