Great communication. They actually brought my appointment forward so they could help quicken the process for me. Kevin was very good at explaining what to do and was very helpful

While they did partially refund me, after I escalated, this company does have a lot to learn about customer service. They are a cheaper option than a dentist, but let's face it, they are selling pieces of plastic for $500, they could stand to upgrade their shipping so it doesn't take ages to get through the impression process, which is a lot of mucking around. In the end, it was a waste of money and time for me.

I did a full course of 20 or so aligners that I completed in January. My teeth still required a bit more work so I paid an extra $350. The first 3 aligners I got from that second order didn't provide any correction at all. The rest of them moved my teeth back to where they were a few months ago and the correction I had in the end was pretty much the same as when I finished the first long course. So a waste of money really. Plus their app never worked. I did ask for the first 3 aligners to be replaced as they were useless but didn't get any response on that. Also asked for a refund of the $350 and same thing.

My experience with SmilePath has been frustrating. Their customer support has been unprofessional, with poor communication and missed deadlines. Despite making a full payment, no services were delivered, and they couldn't even provide a receipt. When I asked for a refund, my request was ignored. It was only after I contacted my credit card company that SmilePath responded, saying they would dispute it. Honestly, it's just disappointing. If you value your time and money, I’d suggest avoiding this company.

Got a really good deal for my overnight aligners. The process of taking your moulds is trial and error, but got there in the end. The aligners fit well and after a year my teeth are now straighter than they ever. Very responsive customer service. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed by the inefficiency and dishonesty of Smile Path. I ordered and paid over $200 for a mouth guard for my wife who was suffering from a severe jaw issue and in the ordering process I marked the size required as SMALL. About a week later I received a MEDIUM kit, which was MILES too big for my wife's mouth. I advised Smilepath and they then sent a small kit..... which was ALSO too small! They eventually sent an extra small, and arranged a video call to walk her through the process of making the mould. By the time the call took place around 3 weeks had passed. The call proved to be unsuccessful and excruciatingly painful for my wife. At the end of around an hour of trying to get it to work, they advised her she needed a 360 degree scan in order to get the mould made. This was going to add a couple of hundred to the total spent (wasted?) so far and we declined and asked for our money back. At this point they offered us $75 towards the scan, but by this time my wife's jaw was severely compromised after the failed video call and we had lost faith in the company's ability to make a correct mould, so we went to a local specialist and were referred to a dentist who could make a "brace" or "splint". Within 24 hours they had seen her, performed a 360 degree scan and sent off the mould to be made for her - ALL with minimal discomfort!!!! Total cost was under $600 but will obviously be very accurately made and fitted by the dentist! At that point I requested the refund from Smile path and was refused, on the grounds they have a policy that refunds can only be claimed within 24 to 48 hours of ordering - half the time it took to receive the WRONG sized kit in the first place! Their refusal to refund any part of the costs despite NOT supplying the service demonstrates a willingness to rip off their customers and makes it clear they are scammers. AVOID at all costs!

In January 2023, I purchased the NightAdvantage plan because I wanted to straighten my teeth without disrupting my daily routine. I received the impression kit that same month, and taking the impressions was straightforward and easy to follow. After sending them back, I received my treatment plan in late February. While I was satisfied with the plan, it didn’t focus on correcting my molars. This wasn’t Smilepath’s fault, as most at-home kits can’t address significant dental work. I approved the smile plan. In March, my aligners arrived. The app was useful, and good to see the projection with each retainer. Smilepath checked in to make sure everything was progressing well. All communication was through email, which worked for me. I followed the recommended pace for my first 10 aligners—10 hours each night for 10 days before moving to the next set. After that, I decided to take my time with each set, I noticed some gaps would reappear during the day but then close again after wearing my aligners. This is natural as teeth have been used to one spot for such a long time. I'd recommend taking your time with each aligner and ensuring each new one fits before pushing forward. New aligners are uncomfortable for the first few nights. From start to finish, my treatment took 1 year and 1 month. It worked out well, and I still wear my retainer at night, which I plan to continue for the foreseeable future. Considering the cost and minimal impact on my daily life, it was worth the investment. Looking back at old photos, it’s hard to believe how crooked my teeth used to be. I would definitely recommend Smilepath to others.

I received the impression box but they sent the wrong size (apparently they can't calculate the average mouth size for an average male. The option they offered was 1. to send the package back and wait around 2 months for the new one. 2. Perform a TC scan on my cost, saying the average price was 150 - 250 AU (which is underestimated, and they said nothing about the cost of the referral needed) They offered to refund 50 AU ... and they asked me to send back the box with the unused material (which has no sense cause I've already bought it)

Company lost my aligners and have been avoiding giving a refund with generic email responses. It has been 6 months since I paid for this service and I haven't seen anything for it yet! The 5 star reviews are obviously sponsored, please don't believe them, steer clear and keep your money!

Like many people, I was so nervous choosing a company for my aligners… Thankfully, I am so happy with the final result from SmilePath! I would confidently recommend them to any of my family or friends who were considering improving their smile! My recommendation for anyone beginning their smile journey would be to push through the initial pain! It was a rough battle for a while there during week 5 & 6 but it was so worth it! Take a few Panadol and you’ll be so fine! Thank you so much SmilePath!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Smilepath journey and the results speak for themselves, I am so happy with my new teeth!! I have lacked confidence in the past because of my teeth, but Smilepath have fixed that! For anyone thinking of using Smilepath- do it, you won’t regret it! Thank you so much Smilepath.

I ordered a tooth straightening package from Smilepath NZ and paid $2,069 and on 11 September 2023 I paid a further $200 to upgrade the package to Smilepath's NightAdvantage package. The NightAdvantage website information includes a guarantee that states that, if it is determined that the Smilepath aligner treatment is not the best fit for the buyer, Smilepath will refund the customer in full. The trays in the impression kit did not fit onto my jaws and, despite having two video consultations with Smilepath staff, it was established that it was not possible to get impressions of my teeth with the impression kit. Smilepath told me that they would arrange for a local dentist or lab to take my impressions at Smilepath's expense, but failed to do so. My understanding from my own enquiries is that dentists and labs in the my region will not do impressions for businesses like Smilepath. I requested a refund on a number of occasions, but Smilepath would neither agree to a refund nor progress arranging to have the impressions done. On 18 March 2024 I demanded a refund of what I had paid. On 18 March 2024 Smilepath sent me an email stating that it would refund what I paid, but with a deduction of $150 to cover the costs of the impression kits, as well as shipping and handling charges. I do not agree with the $150 deduction because it is inconsistent with the guarantee referred to above, which provides for refund in full. The 18 March 2024 email stated that the refund would be made within two weeks of the email, giving an approximate date for the refund of 30 March 2024. I have not received any refund. I have followed up by email on 21 April 2024 and 3 June 2024. I have now concluded that Smilepath has no intention of providing the refund, and have now filed a claim with the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal for the full amount I paid. I hope this information assists others to assess whether they should deal with this business. I certainly wouldn't deal with it again.
