Apart from very poor communication from the office when due to no fault of their own they had to cancel fitting the product was good and the fitters were very good (Ryan and John).

The best of 4 local companies when they came to our house. The sales person was very professional and amiable. The work carried out ( a new front door and a replacement window in our garage) was done efficiently and cleanly and we are very happy with Smith's products.

Very happy with the door and installation. Very prompt workers and worked at an appropriate speed. Love your door colour and glass we chose. I would have given 5 stars but my only bug bear was the constant telephone calls regarding our decision to go through with a purchase and calling about giving a review. As we appreciate that this is important to you, our lives are busy and often we dont get time to do things immediately.

Excellent sales and glad to have an interest free finance repayment plan for the first year. Which was the main reason that we went ahead. Excellent work and timely. The windows are fantastic and have reduced the noise significantly in our bed rooms and also the condensation has reduced. Would love a conservatory next.

Stay away from this company. They sell you a dream pester you with sales calls. Once they’ve got your money they couldn’t care less. They took my money and put the finance through before they even finished my conservatory. 5 months later after numerous emails they don’t care that they have finished it and I’m still waiting for a Waterbutt and guttering! Their customer service is a disgrace don’t use them unless you want an incomplete job and to be ripped off!

Ten year guarantee maybe, but to get a response is unbelievable, you fill out the online form and you can guarantee they will not reply. I had a problem with my front door and a chap who had come to fit a replacement window told me it was a common problem, the expansion and contraction will crack the panels at the weakest point. I managed to get an email address and sent them photos of the door and got an response without any inspection. It said it’s not covered as it is due to impact damage. I emailed again asking what they meant and she said deliberate or accidental damage, but I could buy a new one. There has never been any impact and they is no damage to the door, there are identical small cracks on either side of the door. After my guarantee expired in December 2019, they soon contacted me asked if I wanted any new products, so I said not after all the problems I had with the door. After explaining why, he said, we had had a problems in the department at the time and was very sorry, and showed no interest in the problem with the door within the guarantee. Then he said we can come around and buy your door back and quote you for a new one. To sum up the after service is truly appalling, please think carefully on purchasing such an expensive product if you want peace of mind. I’ve read your reply and that is the response I expected, I can’t comment on previous issues as it is more than one year and I can’t comment on other that issues that happened more than a year ago , however look in your records and I believe you did repair the door before. If the door was damaged with such force, there would be some dents etc, but no there are cracks in the door, you can see examples on u tube. I will see if I can post a photo. The guarantee is from the 16/12 09 to the 16/12/19 As requested my contract no is 291724W. On trust pilot, the information has to be correct, so I am just informing you, I had asked about my door in March 2019 and not in November 2019 as you stated, I have found the email among the other ones I have sent, I can send you it, if you want. As explained earlier, this is not the only problem I have had, but most of them happened over one year ago and I am not allowed to comment about this. Unfortunately for me I did not know about Trust Pilot before. As you are aware you have been provided with information which Highlights the fact that the door was reported to you in 2019 in March and not in November 2019. It just highlights the customer service issues and difficulties of trying to contact you and how difficult it is for you to honour the guarantee.

Disgusted with their service isn’t a strong enough word, they promise a ten year guarantee! Well don’t be fooled by this misleading sales pitch. 5 windows in my house have had the handles either literally break off or are hanging on and this cannot be down to me and my wife just opening and closing the windows over the past 16 months. In one of the bedrooms the seal must have gone as there is a big draft coming through and when there is a slight gust of wind there is a horrible howling sound. Now when I emailed to ask for an engineer to come and fix the issues there response was you’re not covered and all these issues are down to general wear and tear! And I would have to pay a call out charge and for any replacement parts. You cannot speak to the service department only email so after several attempts to speak to someone I have not had any luck still and all I get in replies to email is that I have to pay a callout before they will send anyone out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY… PLEASE TRUST ME!

I I had a very good experience. Right from the lady who came to sell me the produce, surveyor and the installer. All came at the appointed time and were very professional.

We had a conservatory roof replaced with Supalite & new windows & door. Excellent product & an outstanding installation team. On this basis alone I would give 5 stars. The 3 star rating is because of our experience with the sales, back-office, and one of the directors. This aspect was very dissatisfactory. Initially quoted prices were extremely high and required protracted haggling with multiple assurances from Smiths that every price they quoted was the absolute best they could do. By the time we agreed a price I felt that a lot of trust was eroded. We were also assured that we would not have to sign off on the finance agreement until the job was complete to our satisfaction. But when the team arrived to install we were presented with the paperwork and asked to sign at that point - despite the fact that the paperwork clearly stated 'job complete to your satisfaction.' A couple of days later having quibbled on this point, the director (Mr PD) switched from being polite and professional to being aggressive and rude - forcing his team to down tools and drive away from the job unless we sign on the spot. We did sign the paperwork - the job was completed and is excellent - but we are left with a sour taste of Smiths and would be hesitant to recommend them as a company.

as per my review back in November where the response was we always respond to complaints I can now confirm despite two complaints via the online portal for loose architrave and issues closing the door (this is in addition to the ongoing issue caused by installation) I have had no response or calls to rectify this I ma afraid I remain of the view with these latest issues that this is not a company I would do business with

Smith's have over the past 4 years have replaced every window in our house and build us a conservatory. We would not keep going back to them if they hadn't offered us a good service and the latest work in December'19 was no exception.

Apart from the fact is was impossible get the actual style and colour of cladding I wanted, the installation almost went without a hitch. Two lovely lads turned up on the Monday to say that the cladding had not arrived and could they do it Wednesday and Thursday instead. Luckily I do not work so this wasn't too much of a problem. Once they started to install it they were quick, efficient and tidy. They tidied up a loose telephone cable and sorted out some guttering while doing the work. Happy with price and install although looked more plasticy that I had wanted. Would have probably had to pay more for the look I wanted.

I had a large 2 x 1 meter double glazed unit which began to mist up it was 8 eight years old but still under guarantee, I phoned Smiths and was greeted politely and with understanding. An inspection was promised and the time kept, replacement time was agreed and kept. Job done swiftly, cleanly on time and with no problems. I would not ask for or expect better service.

Great overall, good sales process, great follow up, construction went well, and I am very happy with the quality of the overall Orangery that has been built. I would also like to add that Smith’s helped me change the specification of the product to make it better but didn’t increase the price. In my opinion they could have improved (slightly) communications between the different contractors, but I am really being picky. Would I recommend them Yes, would I use them again? Definitely!

We were very pleased with the fitting of our back door. The fitters carried out a professional job and cleaned up their mess afterwards. I was over the moon that they did taffetta glass as it matches my other windows and doors. I will happily recommend Smiths to my family and friends.
