Jul 30,2018I initially made contact with Smith Glass Ltd and arranged a meeting to discuss what product I wanted, the representative was very helpful and certainly not pushy which I was very impressed, I decided upon patio doors. Work commenced on the date two years ago, and I have been totally satisfied with the quality and workmanship. The glass to the patio doors is of very good qualify and the white frame is easy to keep clean, and I have had no problems with the doors from the date they were installed, I would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering updating their windows and doors to have a chat with Smith Glass Ltd.

Jul 27,2018be aware : can not comment on product as we cancelled the job but here is the disappointment.Smiths wanted a 10% deposit up front but paid 5% before contract sent. when contract received to cut a long story short they wanted almost 90% of the job paid for before completion, this was not acceptable we put forward a counter proposal but this was not acceptable to Smiths, no problem their choice , when I cancelled and requested a refund I was advised it would take up to 28 days , when I complained I was advised it was company policy.I queried this as it was not in their terms and conditions,also advised they need to wait for their sales manager to return from holiday, an excuse we have seen before in reviews.after several message exchanges monies returned 18/7 some 16 days after we cancelled.why it takes so long we can only speculate.

Jul 27,2018We had windows and doors installed by Smiths in 2009. The fitters at the time pressured me into signing off the job even though it wasn't finished. We have had many, many issues with the windows, doors and door furniture. Getting Smiths to rectify problems is an uphill task and usually takes the best part of 6 months. Customer service appalling. They deliberately mislead customers: Yesterday (26/7/18) they confirmed an appointment that was made weeks ago, to carry out repairs reported in April. Today, they cancelled, saying it was too hot to fit the windows, but when pushed, they admitted that they did not have the glass. Tellingly, they would not reschedule a date.

Jul 26,2018I had a very good window installer, Glen, he had very high standards, if their was more than 1 option of how something could be finished, or a dilemma, he would discuss options, and give a honest opinion of his own, which was excellent, we have panelling above our bay window, he wasn’t happy with his first attempt, so he did it again. Excellent, that was in June or July 2015, are still looking great, thank you.

Jul 26,2018Happy with conservatory which was fitted about a year ago. Fitters were efficient and helpful. Quality and price of conservatory satisfactory. Sales technique could be improved by offering straightforward price at outset. Don’t like being quoted a price which is then reduced by ‘special deals’ in follow up phone calls.

Aug 15,2018Recommended by a neighbour, we used Smith's Glass to build our new conservatory. They surveyed the site,provided detailed drawings, and a estimate of costs, for our approval. Once we agreed the details they gave us the dates for the start of foundations and brickwork,construction o conservatory and raised floor, electrical work, internal plastering.and final snagging. All the work was carried out as per programme dates. We found them very helpful through out, and all the work was carried to of a high standard.
