Sep 17,2022From initial contact to final installation, and post installation follow-up, it's been a pleasure to deal with Stiltz. The lift, installed in a two-storey bungalow (yes, you read that right) replaced the original tired and awkward stairs. It's elegant and blends in to the surrounding decor. When it's on the other floor, there is almost no loss of functional space and no unsightly mechanism impinging the space.

Sep 06,2022Initial problems siting lift as surveyor got it wrong. Small faults were remedied over several months, but magnetic catches on door knocks out Wi-Fi. Had to pay broadband provider extra cash to beef up our signal. Overall, lift is useful, but a very expensive and now a continually expensive commodity. Knowing that, I wouldn’t have bought one.

Sep 04,2022I am delighted with my lift and use it all the time. When my son visited it was very useful for transporting the luggage as well. I am nearly 90 and the stairs here are very steep and I do not have a downstairs toilet so this was the ideal answer and means I can go on living in my home for as long as possible

Aug 27,2022Following a hit and run accident (cracked ribs, broken pelvis, replaced femur and broken foot) my 80 yr old husband was unable to use the stairs and a chair lift did not meet Health and Safety requirements for “parking” on the upper landing. I rang Stiltz and explained our rather critical situation and they couldn’t have been more helpful. A rep came to see me within days, followed by a surveyor who did a more detailed inspection and the lift was fitted in a matter of weeks due to our great need. The fitters were neat and tidy both about their person and their work ethic, as well as polite and beyond helpful. The result is that my husband has regained a measure of independence and a lot of confidence as the lift can accommodate a wheelchair when needed. Throughout the process both the fitters and office staff were available to answer queries and make the whole process as easy as possible and I have no hesitation in giving 5*, they are well deserved.

Aug 23,2022The best thing I ever did was to choose a Stiltz lift rather than a stair lift I have had it for 6 months now and it fits in the corner of the room and it does not look out of place. It took about 4 days to fit . The house is quite old with lathes and plaster and I thought there was going to be a lot of dust but there was none . they even arranged the electrician and council for building regs to come out

Aug 23,2022Installation was really neat and easy and the lift takes up much less room space than we thought it would. Has already received much more use than we expected. Even though I can still use the stairs I don't take the risk of carrying things up and downstairs. I send them in the lift.

Aug 22,2022We were very happy with the installation of the lift and are pleased with the simplicity and style of it. A neighbour demonstrated the Stiltz lift he'd had installed and also told us about the annual maintenance charge. There are three areas post installation matters that we are disappointed with: i) A maintenance contract for 5 yrs costing almost £3,000 (our neighbour pays just £100 for an annual check). No reply has been received to the letter we wrote about this many weeks ago. ii) the lift stopped and after trying to restart it we used the emergency phone to contact Siltz: no one responded to the two calls we made. It was a Saturday evening and if I'd been alone would have been v. worrying. iii) the day after the installation I noticed a small chip in the front of the lift door.l I phoned to mention it as long term we wanted to be sure that if it created a difficulty Stiltz would be aware of it. Twice I raised it with Stiltz and was told someone would phone back to date no one has. However, the lift works quietly, is unobtrusive & an asset in aiding access.

Aug 17,2022I cannot fault the Classic Duo, I can't imagine how we managed before it's installation. It is easy to operate and has many features to keep it's user. and their family, safe. The two fitters were very effective and informative throughout the installation. The reason I have only given 4 stars is because we had a little mix-up regarding the siting of the lift initially, and later there was an accident where the plumber put his feet through the ceiling. However Stiltz have now re-skimmed the whole ceiling, and all is well.

Aug 15,2022Everyone at Stiltz from the admin staff to the wonderful builders and fitters, were fabulous. They were all kind and courteous and did a wonderful job. I cannot fault them at all, especially the building team who encountered some difficulties but they worked everything out and did a marvellous job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Stiltz may not be the cheapest, but they are definitely the best. Thank you Stiltz for making my life so much easier.

Oct 04,2022Some of these great reviews must have been paid for by the company. I made a reservation for an in home consultation. the day before I received 10 phone calls by several employees trying to make excuses why it was bets to cancel appointment and reschedule. i explained that rescheduling was out of the question as I already took a day off of work for this appointment. my last call was to verify that the appointment was on as scheduled. the morning of the appointment i received a call an an email stating that as per my request to cancel appointment if i wanted to reschedule. If this is what this company does how can anyone trust them to install an elevator. thank goodness there are plenty of other elevator companies around.
