Oct 21,2024Bought the mini fridge for daughter’s student studio room. The plan was for using for drinks and storing breakfast in the night before as she is several flights of stairs up. Was a little concerned when I read the instructions and it said normal operating temperature 12degrees. Bought a thermometer which records highest and lowest temperature as well and need’nt have worried. It sits between 3.5 and 4 degrees consistently and doesn’t rise much above it. Is virtually silent. Was an excellent buy and very happy with it. Note we went for a larger version which was really worth having

Oct 21,2024A quality product, gets down to the set temperature very quickly, however items at the bottom of the compartment froze when the temperature was set to normal refrigeration temperatures (6 degrees). An internal basket to hold items away from the surface of the compartment would likely prevent this from happening.

Oct 19,2024After owning my fridge for around 10 months, I noticed a my drinks were no longer staying cold. I contacted customer service, where they narrowed it down to a fault in the power supply cable. The next day after, they sent me a new power cable. I could not be happier with the customer service.

Oct 19,2024I had to order some spare keys for my Sub Cold Super 50, which I didn't think I would be able to get. As my bedroom fridge is a few years old now. But sure enough Sub cold had them on their website. You get two which is handy. They arrived in a couple of day by Royal mail. Great Service. Thank you.

Oct 16,2024Fridge stopped working after 14 months. I contacted them to be told it’s ’out of warranty’. A fridge should last more than 14 months! Lucky we have protection under the Consumer Rights Act so it’s irrelevant that ‘their’ warranty has expired. The Consumer Rights Act states goods must be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable time. A fridge only lasting 14 months is neither of satisfactory quality nor lasting a reasonable time. They have now agreed to a repair but I have to return the item in suitable packaging, which I do not have. I would therefore have to purchase packaging when under the Law, it is not supposed to cost me anything. They keep saying it’s a ‘gesture of goodwill’ that they are agreeing to the repair. Let’s be clear, it’s not a gesture of goodwill, it is their legal obligation under the Consumer Rights Act! Make sure you pay on credit card as well so that you have the added protection of being able to issue a section 75 chargeback under the Consumer Credit Act to get your money back if you need to. I will now be issuing the chargeback since I should not be out of pocket to purchase packaging to return the item for repair.
