I ask you to conduct an investigation with the transport company to which you entrusted the delivery and return the money for the order to me or deliver the refrigerator that was paid for.

Feb 08,2024Appalling - DO NOT BUY! Have never been able to use the fridge, as it gives off an absolutely horrendous chemical smell and contaminates anything you put in there, as well as stinking out your entire room. Have notified Subcold 6 or 7 times over the last month and been totally ignored. Non existent customer service and I’m now taking legal action. Amazon have been informed and are disgusted by one of their sellers operating this way. No sign of a refund or even acknowledgement of the problem. Don’t get caught out guys, total scam!!

Feb 24,2024I bought a fridge for my campervan from Subcold and it failed two weeks after the 12 month guarantee expired despite only having five weeks of use on camping trips. I explained this to Subcold and they said there was nothing they could do as it was out of guarantee. When I persisted stating that the appliance obviously shouldn't fail with only five weeks use and that it was only just out of guarantee they offered to send me an upgraded overload part that might be causing the problem. I fitted this and the fridge still didn't work but Subcold weren't interested. They told me I'd have to pay a local engineer to repair it and they ignored any further emails asking for help. I have now worked on the fridge myself and found the thermostat to be faulty. I contacted Subcold again and asked if they could send a replacement thermostat bearing in mind the premature failing and was told that as the appliance is out of guarantee I need to pay £19.99 plus £5 postage for a thermostat. When I questioned on several occasions whether a working life of five weeks was acceptable they declined to commit to saying anything. My recommendation would be to avoid this company and use a reputable fridge manufacturer who actually shows some loyalty and responsibility to their customers rather than quoting and hiding behind expiry dates instead of looking at the customer's actual issue. Subcold can make any comment they like to justify themselves but whatever they say they have compounded an issue they could easily have sorted out and kept a satisfied customer. Instead of that they've done the opposite.
