Decided to switch over from Start.ca an exemplary isp to Telcan. Regret it as it has been a week without internet. Tech support is a joke and very hard to understand. They promise to give an update over text but they never do. I have to call or text them to get updates. They don't seem eager to troubleshoot problems. UPDATE: i finally have internet as of April 9 2023, 2 weeks late. Probably one of the most frustrating isp experiences I've had. They did not tell (update) me internet was working until i went and checked modem and saw solid green lights myself. Internet speed is ok. I'm getting 85mbps on my 100mbps service-could be better. No compensation for my aggravation other than prorating my monthly subscription. The biggest issue is after quickly getting a tech on the phone, is understanding the tech. Very hard if clear English is not spoken. Would have given 4 stars if this had gone smoother. Hope I don't have to call tech anytime soon. INTERNET SPEED UPDATE: During past 2 months the Internet speed is still 82-85mbps not the 100mbps signed up for. Funny it never goes over 100mbps, always below rated speed. Used testmy.net to get speed numbers, one of the more accurate sites.
few days past payment. waited for work pay the following friday. telcan sent "1" email sayin they sent several emails and threatened to disconnect service. single email came same day i made my payment. internet always craps out when modem cache is full lest once a week have to power cycle modem. Then You Call Me and Ask Me To Change the Review. F*** Off Im Switching Providers To Some Else. No Option to Pay By Bank Bill Payment Nor Will You Remove My Credit Card Info, I DO NOT NOR WILL I PERMIT MY CC INFO TO BE SAVED. Set Your System Up as Bank Bill Payment or I Take & Switch Service Providers!!
The connection proved to be unreliable. It was working well but one day everything suddenly went wrong and I’m out of wifi
Quick resolution to change of package/pricing request. Speed is consistently stable.
Nice business so far and great service. Apparently I'm one of the few in the street without connection issues. Cost is also better than others, so thanks Telcan. Keep it up.

My original ISP was increasing their rates out if the blue so I looked around for a new ISP and found Telcan, switching was easy, all I had to do was fill in an online application and make a phone call to schedule an installation (line check). Then you have to call and schedule the disconnection date with your original ISP, you will get transferred to retentions and they will try to give you some lame offer. Just tell them "no thanks". The. You are good to go! Just a modem will be shipped to you very quickly and you just need to wait for your installation date to hook it up. Cheers!
