I was regularly updated, and things were completed in a timely manner despite covid slowing things down in general. Things were explained in a way I was able to clearly understand and I didnt feel in anyway pressured to take up what was being offered, but very pleased I did. Things were really delayed for me due to the lockdown but I was kept informed the entire time about what was going on, and even when I was waiting on hearing from my solicitor, Jordan was excellent at chasing things up. Sep 23,2020For my experience with The Mortgage Broker Limited I worked with Richard and Matt who were both so helpful and responsive. I am a first time buyer and working at a bank I learnt the odd bit about mortgages but I felt so out of my depth, I had no clue and had been to a really unhelpful broker in the past who just didn't give me much to go on so I was nervous. I didn't even know if I could afford to buy even as I was purchasing alone, but I had a long chat with Richard and gave him the information to begin looking into it for me and was so happy that I could. He genuinely helped me with every step, even down to listening to my ramblings about the details of properties I'd seen all the way through to the end, checking to see how things were going all the time. He gave me the confidence to be firmer with agents, who I have discovered often put a lot of undue pressure on which also secured me a slightly cheaper deal when the agents tried to bait me into making a higher offer, but I didn't and still it was accepted; I'd learnt a lot by then!! I think this skill is invaluable and can be the difference between getting what you want and not when you make the offer. One agent even offered to waive their broker fees if I went through their in house broker instead saying that it was "a special offer at the moment" and I honestly just didn't want to because I already trusted the advice I'd received so much and had found it so valuable, I absolutely did not want to lose that through the rest of the process. I would not hesitate to use TMBL again when my fixed term is up or if I move. I understand some people may try to do this process themselves but the reassurance you get from having a decent broker, both in financial decisions and support, is brilliant in my opinion and it takes off so much pressure; I would highly recommend especially if you are a first time buyer. I found the service very personal and friendly and Richard is also very straight talking and honest, he will tell you always what he sees (which is what I needed to be honest!), whilst allowing you room to make the decisions without any pressure. Matt was also super helpful and responded to all my queries and kept me regularly updated which I really appreciated. Thanks Richard and Matt
