Feb 20,2020Securing a first mortgage is a daunting process but we need not have worried thanks to The Mortgage Broker Ltd. Throughout the application process they have been first class which has enabled us to get a mortgage sorted faster and at a lower cost than we expected (based on our own searching of the market with comparison websites). From the start of the process Jack Scarff, who acted as our broker, was there to guide us in an honest and professional manner. Jack was always on hand to answer any questions we had and was very clear about the kind of deal we could get based on our circumstances right from the start. We were kept continuously updated on the progress of our application by Becca Howlett who was excellent at explaining the different stages of the process and was a delight to deal with. Feb 20,2020Friendly and approachable. Seemed to be a mix up where I was assigned to two different advisors (first one called me on. A Tuesday evening, took lots of details to do research with a view to ringing Thursday or Friday... No callback then on the Saturday a new advisor called and went through similar details). Second advisor seemed less aware of my circumstances as a first time buyer (e.g. She didn't discuss the help2buy isa bonus when talking about deposits) or familiar with teacher contracts. But still good to talk though financial situation to get a sense of where I am at.

After submitting a form way back in the earliest stages of starting our journey to buying a house, Suzy was in touch and answered all our many questions and provided really helpful advice. Staying with us every step of the way, when we were ready to start looking and to get a mortgage in principle Suzy and the team were only an email away. Definitely feels like you're being supported, and they found us a great mortgage. As first time buyers we were quite nervous, but they made sure that we understood every step (and the next ten!) well ahead of time and supported us in other aspects as well.

Feb 04,2020To buy we needed two mortgages - one on an existing house to raise a deposit, the other on our new property. It was a complex scenario, only made possible because of the expert advice and support of both our broker and her pa. There is a cost to this service, but without the help we received we would never have been able to buy. One mortgage was for an 83 year old - and only one lender in the whole country would consider it. Supported step by step. Patient answers to even the most obvious of questions. Regular updates, and the knowledge we had people in our corner chasing the banks. I would thoroughly recommend these guys for their professional approach coupled with patience and good humour. A real joy to deal with. A very human and personal service.
