Mar 09,2020I'm very pleased I used The Mortgage Broker Ltd (TMBL) as my mortgage broker. From the beginning, I received a friendly call from a lady who's name I cannot remember. She asked me brief questions about my needs and said that as I live in Scotland, it would be best for me to be dealt with by a mortgage adviser who works specifically in the Scottish market as this is different from the English Market. Subsequently, I was passed to Fiona. I cannot thank Fiona and the whole team enough for their support during this time. I'm not going to lie, as a First Time Buyer, the process was always going to be stressful as I have never gone through anything like this before, however, Fiona and the team have helped ease the stress of it all. My case was not easy and I think Fiona would agree! There have been multiple hurdles we have had to overcome with the biggest one being that we had to change lender due to the first lender scrutinising my bank accounts more than what other lenders would because I banked with them which meant they could nosey around my accounts more which was of course, frustrating. This lender looking into my accounts further meant that they reduced the amount they were willing to offer me by about 10% which worked out around £10k. I'm not sure about you (anyone who is reading this) however, I just don't have that kind of money spare to make up the shortfall so Fiona and I began to look for another lender. Despite the above, Fiona worked her magic and managed to find me another lender within even tighter timescales as my offer on a property had already been accepted with the seller keen to have the sale completed more quickly than usual as they did not want to go into a new financial year still owning the property. She held my hand up to the point she submitted my application formally and then subsequently passed me on to her PA & support team and this is where I started to correspond with Nasreen. Fiona & Nas were fantastic to deal with and I honestly cannot thank you both enough. From a personal point of view, the service which I have received has been tailored and personable, you don't feel like you are just another client, you feel like you are actually being dealt with by people who take time to get to know you & are part of your mortgage journey. Nas sounded just as excited as me when she called me to tell me my formal mortgage offer was on it's way to me which is where the personable side comes in as it feels like you are going through the journey with someone who actually cares. Subsequently, Fiona called me a day or so after and was equally just as excited. It is also worth mentioning that during the working hours of Fiona and Nas, they were both very responsive to my emails and if I sent one outwith their usual working times, I knew I would get one very quickly the next morning (during the week) which also makes you feel at ease when you can't always be available for phone calls when you are at work, etc. Thank you so much again, I'm really grateful for the service and I will be looking to use TMBL again.
