The Timeless Chesterfields brand is owned and operated by Saxon Furniture Ltd, a family run, British company who have been expertly hand-crafting Chesterfield leather and fabric furniture for 40 years.
The success of the company can be attributed to the dedication and ethos of producing the finest Chesterfields in the country without exception. Unlike these companies, we hand-craft all our own designs in our workshop in Lancashire by our very own time-served upholsterers, seamstresses and cutters, many of whom have grown up with the business.
As a company, we believe in being completely open about how our products are crafted and what materials we use. So much so that we invite you to come along personally to watch the expert skills and eye for detail of our master craftsmen first hand via our unique viewing gallery in our showroom. It's an honesty that has served us well for 40 years and is evident not only in the workshop but across the company from, the showroom staff to customer services to the delivery team to our support staff. Jan 23,2018I am absolutely delighted with the sofa, chair and footstool we ordered, the friendly and professional staff in the main office in the UK (Pauline Rushton and another lady who was covering for her, can't remember her name) the transport and delivery of the furniture (we live in Tenerife)...even the guy delivering the furniture was very helpful (my husband had broken his elbow a week before)! Top marks for everything! Thanks again.

Jan 22,2018We have two leather Chesterfields, both double sofa bed, both bespoke. Two leather chairs and matching foot stalls. We are extremely happy with our purchases. We took delivery a few months ago and have had so many comments about the quality of the furniture. We also had a three year old decide to draw on one of them with felt tip pen! I highly recommend the cleaning kit which included an ink remover, I am very happy to say it removed it fully. The sales staff were lovely and very helpful. We did a factory tour and we would recommend that as well. After sales, we haven't had cause to call.

Jan 12,2018Love my sofa. Wish seat cushions were a little softer. Scatter cushions were very solid and did not give at all when leaned on Have replaced filling in all cushions. Was therefore a little disappointed.

Living in Spain everything needed to be done on line but when we needed any help a phone call was available to us. I apologize for posting such a belated review, but good customer service and high-quality workmanship are all too rare these days, so when I encounter it, I am obliged to share my positive experience with others and not let good work go unpraised. In October 2016, I purchased a Chesterfield sofa (3 seats) and two chairs to furnish my new apartment. Now that I am about to move to a house, I am planning to move my beautiful pieces, and I was put in mind to post this review just over a year later. I was initially very trepidatious about making such a major purchase through a website from a vendor located overseas. Fortunately, Janette Turnbull and Pauline Rushton provided friendly, prompt, and attentive customer service and kept me well informed on the progress of my shipment. To my astonishment, the furniture arrived slightly ahead of schedule, and I was extremely pleased with the color and quality of the furniture. The cushions are rather firm, but I hope that will result in good durability. I am grateful to have found furniture in the exact color and style I wanted for such a reasonable price, and delivery to the U.S. proved to be much easier than I expected. I remain very pleased with my purchase and am glad to add my high praise to the many other positive reviews on this site.

Nov 12,2017We traveled all the way to Bolton to compose our dream couch. From the beginning it was very important to us to combine and experiment the couch ourselfs. At Saxon Furniture Limited we had the chance to relax, sit down on various couches and experience the different comforts of the different models. We felt the different pillow fillings and saw the colors and materials with day light and spot lights. The customer service while and after the purchase was prompt and reliable. Before our future couch was produced, we even got a leather copy sent to us first, to make sure, it’s the leather we have chosen... Our couch corresponds exactly to our order and our imagination. Very proper and accurate fabrication. Looking at the result we gained the impression that the employees like doing their work – it doesn’t seem just like a job. The transport to Switzerland was done by well known professional transportation agencies. The couch passed 3 or 4 times interim storages, untill it arrived at home. The transport agency takes care after the swiss taxes at customs, but not for the tax refund of the UK. We saved money to buy this couch and plan to enjoy it for a long period in the future. We recommend to take the time to travel to Bolton, for People who want to buy their individual furniture. In Bolton we have been able to discuss and fulfill our special wishes. At the store in Bolton one can feel the actual fabrication that takes places here, it’s not a glamorous vending world. We appreciated this. Consulting the pictures in the internet we have chosen a couch. In Bolton we changed our decision and fell in love into another couch... Even after some months we are still very happy. ------------------------------------------ Wir waren in Bolton und haben uns dort unser Wunschsofa zusammengestellt. Für uns war es wichtig Probe zu sitzen, auf den verschiedenen Sofas zu chillen, die verschiedenen Kissenstärken zu spüren, die Modelle live zu sehen und zu vergleichen, die verschiedenen Stoff- und Lederarten bei Tageslicht und künstlichem Licht zu sehen und zu spüren, etc. Die Kundenbetreuung während und nach dem Kauf war prompt und zuverlässig. Vor der Produktion unseres Sofas wurde uns noch ein Lederexemplar zugestellt um ganz sicher zu sein… Unser Bettsofa entsprach genau unserer Bestellung und unserer Vorstellung. Sehr saubere Arbeit. Beim Betrachten des Resultats gewinnt man den Eindruck, dass die Mitarbeiter wirklich Freude an ihrer Arbeit haben und ihren Job nicht einfach nur machen. Der Transport in die Schweiz wurde durch bekannte Unternehmen durchgeführt. Unser Sofa hat wohl 3-4 Zwischenlager besucht, bis es zu uns kam. Die Transportunternehmen kümmern sich nur um die Verzollung – nicht um die Mehrwertsteuerrückerstattung. Wir haben lange gespart für unser Sofa und wollen dieses Jahrzehnte nutzen. Wer für sich zwingend das Richtige kaufen will, empfehlen wir sich die Zeit zu nehmen in Bolton vorbeizugehen. So war es uns auch möglich Sonderwünsche zu besprechen und anzubringen. In Bolton spürt man das Fabrizieren und wähnt sich nicht in einer unwirklichen Verkaufs-Scheinwelt. Unsere erste Wahl auf Basis der Bilder aus dem Internet haben wir in Bolton verworfen und uns in ein anderes Sofa verliebt… Wir sind auch nach einigen Monaten immer noch sehr zufrieden.

Nov 06,2017Love my sofas. I have made sure to wait a couple months after receiving the product to share my feedback. We found reviews helpful in making our decision so we are glad to contribute as well. I had them imported to the USA. TC team was super responsive and accurate throughout the process. Quality of the sofas is lovely. Seats have a nice firmness, the selvaggio leather fits the trendy upgrade I hoped for. I ordered two three seater sofas. They are European size, smaller than a USA three seater but still fine for us. You may want to consider larger pieces. We are fortunate enough to have a few other couches and sitting areas. I may add a 4 seater years down the line, for now we have left room for some kiddie furniture. We have recommended this site to family and friends since the time of our order and certainly would for you as well. Best, V Radia

Oct 23,2017I have ordered from Rome Italy a Fantastic Knightsbridge 4 seater , and i would like to thank in particular , Pauline and Janette who assisted me , from the choice of leather swatches to the order then to the delivery . All the steps of the purchases went perfectly well , even though i had some doubts on the delivery regarding damages during transportation, but also the packaging was perfect. Last but not least the sofa is superb, is a unique piece. I definetely recommend this company to anyone interested , and i'm considering to purchase an armchair in the future.
