Jun 21,2013This is a good clean guest house - although they were having work done which was not so good, but didn`t really affect us. The breakfast was very good indeed and plenty of it. especially fruit as this is my pleasure. Only one fault as I can see, they have nowhere apart from bedroom( no lounge,) although we could have used the dining room with hard chairs in it. This is the first time we didn`t have anywhere to go after dinner which put us off a bit.

Jun 21,2013The room was clean and well equipped for the price but the lack of an inner door lock and no receptionist made me feel vulnerable and insecure. A souless hotel but I suppose I shouldn't complain for £20!! Wouldnt book again though, unless inner locks were added.

Jun 21,2013Pen Star s situated on one of the main thoroughfares in Saint Austel, yet the room was quiet inside and traffic abated in the non peak times. Eateries are about 15 minutes drive from the B & B and are of good quality. The property is bright and our room slept 3, being spacious, warm and very clean. Breakfast provisions were good, even for my wife who needs a gluten free diet. On request, hostess offered a lot of advise about the town and surrounds and from this data we visited EDEN PROJECT and Lizard Head, although we had originally planned to see Lands End. Very Happy we stayed at Pen Star.

Jun 21,2013We had a wonderful relaxing weekend when we stopped at the Chiltern Guest House in Whitby. nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff and they made us feel very welcome. We will be stopping there again if we are able to get in

Jun 21,2013we were disappointed the bed and breakfast was on a fairly busy road then for the price something had not to be perfect otherwise a comfortable stay.

Jun 21,2013We had a nice stay here in the very small room, plenty of teas and coffees on offer, lovely warm powerful shower,not too far to walk into town,a very nice breakfast. Our friends we were with got the larger room on the top floor which was very nice too just lots of steep stairs up to theirs!

Jun 21,2013We are a mature couple and for many years have been holidaying in Minehead. We always book into Glendower House, where we are sure of a warm welcome. The room is clean, comfortable and has the " little extras" which is the sign of a very good B & B. An excellent breakfast is served in a bright room and we look forward to our next visit.
