The setup, professionalism and general approach of Tradeskills4u is very good. You do need to be fairly commited to get the best out of it as it is an intense schedule with alot to learn in a short time. This is of course both good and bad.
I have been training with TS4U since 2015 and wouldn't train anywhere else for my electrical training. The tutors are all first rate and will always go out of their way to help. The booking and support staff make everything simple and the training dashboard and online training is excellent.
Completed the 4 week domestic installer course. Very well thought out and organised. I am completely new to the industry and wasn't sure if I'd have the right skills. This course and the friendly instructors put me at ease and have given me the confidence to pursue a carrier within the industry.
This is my honest opinion and yours might be different. But I've been very disappointed with my experience at TS4U. When initially booking I was told there would be a reduced number on the course due to Covid19. Arriving there week 1 the class was filled with 14 of us. Not only were we uncomfortably close to each other but the Tutor was spread to thin between 14 learners. We were not even at arms length from one another. There wasn't enough test equipment to go around so time was massively wasted just waiting for a multifunctional tester to be come free. The boards and consumer units you work on are beyond a reasonable standard to practice on in my opinion when you’re new to this trade. They're completely battered with screws chewed up and/or missing and others cross threaded. Emails were sent out late or not at all so you were missing vital information through the evenings when you needed to practice/ revise. A particular tutor bad mouthed the course and the domestic electricians route saying its for rouges and he'd never do it himself. Or touch a domestic dwelling with a barge pole. It left us all feeling a bit disappointed and why had we spent all this money then? How could he be enthusiastic about teaching the subject if he didn’t believe in what he was delivering. There could be more practical work completed in week 1. You're not even shown how to take an MCB out of a consumer unit. I don’t expect to be shown how to do a full re-wire but I’d like to see how to fit an MCB and RCD. However the other tutors I had on the course were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I feel like you're paying a lot for a few certificates to be handed to you at the end of it all. I personally think the Domestic Electrician/ installers course is very poor value for money.
I decided to use Tradeskills4u as I was so impressed with their website and customer support team! I've booked the steps 1-3 (C&G 2365 COURSE LEVEL 2 & 3 DIPLOMA) and I've just completed step 1. Very impressed with the centre which is located in a nice business park. I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle in the car park as it felt very safe and well visible from the centre. The centre is really clean and the facilities are cleaned daily. The covid procedures put in place work well and I felt safe at all times. (reduced class sizes, hand sanitiser stations, temperature checked on arrival, masks compulsory). The tutors I had are ex electricians with a huge amount of real life experience which makes learning a lot more interesting with the odd funny story frown in. The course is quite fast passed and there is a lot to learn if you feel your struggling you MUST speak up and inform the tutor and they will dedicate more time with you! The E-Learning was absolutely brilliant and the future of training in my eyes! I was quite skeptical about E-Learning and was worried that there was no tutor to speak to when struggling, but I soon realised how good it was and so easy to follow once I did my first module. Being able to rewind / pause and play over and over really helped me with being able to take on the information. The virtual class room was exactly what I was expecting. The tutors are brilliant and same as in center! I had no technical glitches and all went smoothly. Some people were asking questions about some information from the Elearning and the tutors were happy to assist. The people I was in class with was from all walks of life and mostly beginners with the odd one with a small amount of experience. I'm looking forward to step2! Thanks Tradeskills4u, Andy Whitehouse, Sam Perry and Andy Summers.
Excellent training even during the covid restrictions
Amazing service
Attended course during lockdown, provisions in place were first class for everyone, instruction during the course was very clear and concise, lecturer knowledge was first class with my lecturers having previously having experience hands in in the workplace, facilities in the centre were spotless and well stocked (Coventry). All equipment for the learning provision apart from the required books (these are required by all electricians) were available, the test rigs have been used a lot and provision must be taken to understand this, overall great care is taken by TS4U to keep up with the demand for spares, especially during the COVID pandemic. Online and e Learning was excellent and there is a very useful and clear secure TS4U additional website just for learning and resources as get into the course. Very happy with the course I attended and I will be attending more as time goes on, I will have no hesitation to recommend TS4U. I have no connection or affiliation to TS4U in any way, I choose this course with careful consideration and research, there are other options available for this training but for me this was most convenient.
Warrington center has good facilities available to use during training and outside of training. Reception/student services were very helpful with any queries and the instructors at the Warrington center were more than helpful and knowledgeable going above what was required with supply of information. Communication from customer services was generally good during the booking process with any queries I had were dealt with. Due to Covid there were some restrictions and a couple of days of virtual learning which isn't ideal, that's the only part of the course I felt could be better.
Exelent courses and great teachers! I will be coming to TS4U for a while..
Have just started my training course during this difficult period, so far have been impressed with how the course works and the support offered. I would recommend Tradeskills4u to anybody wishing to retrain or just advance. Brian Holmes
I am happy I have doing my domestic installation course with trade skills 4 u. Excellent company. Great staff. Most importantly the tutors are knowledgeable, and they will take time out after the session to support you if need be. I would highly recommend trade skills 4 u to anyone looking to become an electrician etc
Domestic installer course, completed at Gatwick. Great course, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very professional and would highly recommend, I will be completing further training with them.
I've really enjoyed the course so far , it is very hard as I've just started into electrics with no previous experience but the tutors are there all the way to help you through , definalty worth doing it
I took a short up-skilling electrics course at TradeSkill4U Gatwick during COVID and found the centre was brilliant. They were operating the course within the Government restrictions and i felt safe while training there. The course was delivered by experienced practitioners from the industry who were able to relate the subject to real life examples. David made it easy to understand what is needed in the industry and was able to provide helpful tips that will help me further in my career. The E-Learning sections were great and the resources provided make it easier to pass the exams at the end of each section. The Centre's are all modern and the tools and test rigs are all in great condition test your knowledge gained during the training. Support staff are great and friendly and do go the extra mile to ensure that you get the most out of your course.
i have just competed my first week at the Coventry site and can honestly say it has been amazing, i was quite apprehensive as i haven't been schooled for quite some years. Vince made me feel at ease and we all got on really well with learning. The domestic installation workshop was full on but very informative and i feel i have already gained valuable knowledge and am looking forward to the next steps.
Great time learning a new trade with trade skills 4 u. All the tutors are great and have a great understanding of the electrical industry. The e learning and virtual learning classrooms are a great way of learning also. Will be back to do more courses.
Trained at Coventry Centre and could not of been happy with the lecturer's, they really do know there stuff. They break the topics down so it easier to understand and they are happy to answer any questions and explain it in detail. Really recommend trade skills and defo booking more courses.
I was on the domestic installer workshop Brilliant course and definitely learnt alot and will help my career. Covid regulations in place so I imagine it would normally be a more fun and interactive learning environment. But still enjoyed it. No lunch van but they put the drinks machine on free vend Vicky the was fantastic great teacher. Just don't give her any BEEF and you will be fine. Soon be attending another course with trade skills 4 u

Mar 03,2021I have always wanted to qualify as an Electrician or a long time but had struggled financially. I am currently Studying as a Domestic Electrician. I have worked as a labourer or electricians on small times basis the eventually changes to as a support worker in the Health Care but had always a burning desire to become an electrician. I don't regret getting into Health care because I was driven by the desire to Help. To cut the the story short, The time came when I needed carrier change and Electrical work came in forefront. After extensive research including applying for college, a friend of mine recommended Tradeskills4u and I never looked any further after attending the Taster Day Course. On Taster day I had in Warrington was like a revelation to my LIFE CARRIER. The presentation was wonderful with enough time of breaks, The facilities are amazing I wasted no time in enrolling for my long awaited course. I had an option to chose the Centre and Leeds became apparent as I live in Bradford. But just like Warrington Leeds Is also an amazing place with all the required facilities. The tutors are impressive, always around to help and guide you. The only challenge is how to get to these two places I have so far been on time if you are unfamiliar with the location and you don't have a car. TradeSkills4u is the best pathway to electrical carrier and will always recommend. I believe I am going to sail through as the desire and hard working spirit is too strong, encouraged by everything TradeSkills4u is presenting so far.
