Lors d'un voyage en Europe à l'automne 2022, j'ai contracté la Covid et j'ai dû abandonner le groupe pour demeurer en isolement. Avant de partir, j'avais eu soin de prendre une assurance complémentaire pour un tel cas. Lorsque j'ai contacté Tugo de l'étranger, l'agent fut très gentil et rassurant. Il m'a fait parvenir par courriel le document à remplir au retour à la maison. J'ai fourni toutes les documents demandés par TUGO. On m'a fait un accusé réception dès la réception de mon dossier à leurs bureaux de B.C et le traitement a été très rapide par la suite . Je suis satisfaite du remboursement et ce ne fut pas compliqué. Je n'hésiterais pas à reprendre une assurance complémentaire avec TuGo pour un autre voyage. .
我是一位持旅游签证来加拿大陪孩子上学的陪读家长,通过保险经纪人买了Tugo的陪读保险。2022年11月份的一天,我突然感觉心口疼痛难忍,胸闷,心慌,出冷汗,赶快打911叫了救护车,到医院的抢救室打了针,一直观察了7个多小时医生才让我回家了。我进医院观察期间,医院登记了我的保险号,出院时医院没有收我一分钱就让回家了。(没有在国外看过病,不知道国外的医院是什么样的程序)。到了晚上,同样的疼痛又发生了,不得已又叫了救护车去医院,这次去医院观察了差不多20个小时被一名刚换班的医生问病情,他判断是胆结石,让办理住院做手术,医院让我交1550元的手术费。手术非常成功,三天就出院了。我把我生病的情况通知了我的保险经纪人,她告诉我要先打电话通知保险公司生病了,要保险公司给一个索赔号码,我说当时的情况都吓懵了,根本没有想起来与保险公司联系,她让我现在与保险公司联系,同时她也积极的帮助我与保险公司沟通。我照做了,把当时的情况email给了保险公司。过了一个月,医院寄来了第二次看病的账单,我把所有的账单和我付的现金账单一起寄给了Tugo。几天后收到Tugo的返馈,说我的索赔正在授理当中,让我耐心等待。没过多久就收到Tugo给我寄来了付给医院清单和1550元现金支票。我简直不敢相信,我住院做手术,住院费竟然一分钱没有花,全部都给报销了,这个保险公司实力太强了,没有找任何借口不报或者少报。这是我第一次在国外生病住院,也是我第一次买Tugo的保险,没有想到Tugo保险公司给了我这么大的一个惊喜。但是,我没有收到第一次救护车的账单,我担心我的第一次救护车的费用有没有付,就专门去医院收费处询问,医院说我的所有付用早已经付清了,这时候我感觉我的身心特别的轻松,买了几百元的保险,保了我上万元的住院和手术费,是我万万没有想到的,我感谢Tugo,我已经介绍了我的朋友买Tugo的保险,Tugo是我最信任的保险公司。没有生病Tugo就是你的保险,生了病Tugo就是你最强大的经济后盾。这是我自己的亲身经历,与大家分享一下。
My son was attending a hockey academy in the USA and required coverage for students, including coverage for hockey related injury. TuGo was one of the very few companies that provided this coverage. From the first phone call I made TuGo representatives were polite and helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions and pointed out the differences in the plans available. They would quickly provide quotes and follow up with timely emails. When we had to use the benefits (which we did a few times over the 2 years we had plans with TuGo) the process was simple. TuGo looked after everything and processed claims quickly. The advisors kept me informed throughout the process. Reimbursements for anything we had to pay for out of pocket were made quickly. I highly recommend TuGo for travel coverage. I've already recommended TuGo to a bunch of Canadian families that have children attending schools in the USA. All have been happy with the service they have received.

Days before my expected departure from Taiwan, I fell ill from COVID infection and needed to extend my departure another nine days. I sent an email to Goose representation Derek and he indicated that I had purchased trip interruption insurance and needed documentation to support the diagnosis and to contact the policy administrator immediately. Unfortunately, I had difficulty getting through on my cell phone and there was a sixteen hour time difference to Vancouver time. I wrote back and said I would follow up with claim after my return to Canada. There were a few hoops to jump through to be evaluated at the local Taiwanese hospital to be seen by a doctor and receive the certificate in English to prove that I did indeed suffer from COVID. After that I followed through with filing my claim for the trip interruption expenses, gathered all the original required documents and mailed them to TuGo. Though the experience was arduous on my end, I was delighted that TuGo accepted my claim and I was reimbursed for all my additional expenses in a very timely manner. Everyone that helped me through the process of submitting a claim was professional, kind and made things clear on how get through. We are so glad and grateful to find a travel insurance with age unlimited coverage for our mom who is visiting us in Canada. Her hospital bill was covered without any problems. TuGo insurance was a great support in our emergency situation. Highly recommend!
You ask for a rating of my recent experience but my recent experience was minor and I got the customary great service. But what I think is more important is the major incident that made me a TuGo lifer. We were in Tahiti for New Year's Eve, December 2016. We had flown there late on December 28 from ice and snow at home to 100F degree temperatures. On the 29rd we really did feel the heat. I passed out in our room on the 30th. Diagnosis was dehydration. Treatment was fluids and fruit and I would be fine by the 31st. But on the morning of the 31st I passed out again and this time, they said I was going to hospital. After examination I was diagnosed with life threatening blood clots. I was told I'd be staying in hospital for 6 nights, 3 in intensive care and 3 in the cardio unit as the clots had been stopping blood flow into my heart. Scary stuff and my wife was a wreck but the hospital was 5 star and even offered her counselling support with or without mood altering meds. Tahiti is French and the hospital was only 5 years old, state of the art and the staff were all young and trained in Paris. So don't worry if you go there and get sick. You'll be well taken care of. But they also have an office for dealing with foreigners and their insurance companies. So very shortly after I was admitted, they called TuGo and were told that they were to "leave him alone" and that all medical bills should go to them. The TuGo rep also said I was also to get a call from my case manager after I was released. As I was told would happen, a wonderful woman called me the day I was released and was very supportive. She showed real empathy for the condition and knew that I was now not to fly for an extended period of time. She said again, do not worry. I was just to keep receipts for every cent we spent on basics of living, bundle them up when we got back, and send them over to her. She would quickly review and if appropriate, send me a cheque. And I did. And she did. And I got the cheque from TuGo before the Visa bill came in. Amazing. We hope we never have to use medical insurance but if we do, we need to know our insurance company will take care of us. Will they be there when you need them. And TuGo was certainly there for me in Tahiti. Since then I've been a TuGo lifer. Dennis M.
During a recent trip to Thailand, I managed to get a severe case of food poisoning. The Tugo representative was very supportive and helped us navigate through the process during a very stressful time. The hospital dealt directly with Tugo and I could focus on getting well while in hospital. They were there for me when I needed them.
When I was taken to the hospital in Cost Rica, I had no idea of what was happening to my body. The doctors suspected GBS (Gallienne Barre Syndrome) but needed to rule out any other possible infections first. Blood samples and a spinal tap were performed immediately, and I was put in an ICU room within an hour of arriving. I saw abut 6 or 7 medical staff and was told that 95% of GBS patients fully recover, though it could take up to 3 years! Tugo was contacted that day and we were assured that any expenses would be taken care of through our travel insurance, what a relief it was for both myself and my wife. The GBS paralysis kept occurring until day 7, when it reached my upper chest. I was completely frozen from the neck down, very scarry. Tugo arranged for a Medivac to fly us back to Canada where I was hospitalized for the next 2 months. Fortunately my recovery started about mid-November and I was discharged at the end of December. Though still numb from the waist down, I continued to improve with Physiotherapy and home exercises. Still numb in the feet but am assured it will eventually return to normal. Thanks to Tugo we were able to concentrate on recovery and not have to worry about the expense of medical care in a foreign country or how we could make it home.

TuGo is our trip and medical insurance provider. Whilst on a trip to the UK, we caught Covid. TuGo had an advisor we could talk to that night. She laid out what we needed to do and started a claim for us right away. Their claim process was straightforward and we received the compensation we requested. A very positive process throughout

Due to weather and airline staff constraints, we were unable to get out of Saskatoon to FLL for a family cruise. We contacted TUGO within a couple of hours of travel interruption. They immediately set up a claim file and gave us a claim number. The forms were surprisingly easy to fill out and we submitted documents both by email and hard copy. TUGO was very responsive to both email and phone inquiries.We were very pleased to have our claim paid in full 3 weeks after our trip was canceled. We know and trust TUGO for our travel insurance needs.
I believe it's currently the best choice for travel insurance. The prices are reasonable, and when they assess your claim they do so HONESTLY (abeit a little slowly), and don't look for every excuse to turn down the claim as has been my experience in the past with the likes of Manulife.

Jun 23,2023It was my first time to use TUGO. I must say that they were available when I called them from my hospital bed that dreadful night while on vacation. The challenge was with the hospital because they did not agree to do direct billing as per the Tugo staff request but insisted that I pay out of pocket and follow up with my insurance. Thank God I was able to pay otherwise it would have been detrimental. Tugo instructed me to collect all the payment receipts and email them which I did upon return to Canada. It took 6 weeks and they refunded all the hospital bill amount. I will purchase my next travel medical insurance with you. Thank you TuGo
