I’m thankful to have gotten my travel insurance from TuGo. They were very helpful when I had to cancel my trip due to a medical emergency. The process was straightforward. I bought my insurance again from them because of my experience.

If I could give zero stars I would!! I am so disappointed and will never be recommending anyone to use TuGo for any insurance needs. There is no follow-up, you get the run around that things are being addressed and they never are. Still waiting for a refund 6 months later wondering if I am ever gunna see my money for a trip I didn't ever get to go on due to health reasons. TuGo do better!! I have purchased travel insurance many times and always trust that if something was to happen things would be taken care of. While this time something unforeseeable did and TuGo doesn't seem to give a rats ass!! Don't purchase unless you want to be scammed!!!

I travelled to Ireland from Ontario in August 2022. During my trip I needed to go to the hospital emergency twice and get prescriptions for an infection. I did choose to pay up front and submitted my receipts for the emergency visits and medication when I returned home. tugo was wonderful!! I called and they opened a file right away. They kept me up to date that my claim was being processed, and doing the claim was easy and clear. After submitting all of the information there were no issues and they sent me a check for the costs. I expected to have issues claiming as I have never done so before, however they stand by what they offer and I was very pleased with the service and support.

Ended up in the hospital in the USA facing a 7K bill from the hospital. I have some previous health conditions but always purchase a yearly policy with pre-existing conditions rider, which really helped. No big bill from the hospital and they even negotiated with the hospital to get the price down a bit. I tell everyone that has pre-existing conditions these are the guys to use. You hope you never need to use the insurance but it's nice to know it's there just in case something like this happens.

I have been trying to contact tugo for weeks now to extend my insurance but their lines are always busy and they never call me back. I am travelling without insurance because of them and their unreliability.

It is hard after a long trip to arrive and miss your bag, there is no other way to go and buy clothing and what you need. You are tiered, and on top of thet yiu have to spend money out of your budget. The great thing is to have a good insurance company, like ToGo!! My claim was resolved very fast and I the cheque by maul sooner than expected. Wonderful service!!

Had to seek medical advice and support in Australia. I submitted my claim upon my return. I was pleasantly surprised that contrary to other programs there was not a unique deductible for each item. Fast and excellent service

Well this insurance was made by my school since i am an international student in Canada. I didnt know that it was covering other countries while im in vacation (except my origin country) We went to cuba this summer for vacation and i had a food poisoning. I had to go to the ER via ambulance and was attached to an IV bag in the hospital. When i came back to canada i called TUGO. Asked them if it is covering my travel they said yes and they made the claim very easy for me by opening file on the phone. It was quick, useful very convenient. The procedure did not take a long time was very fast. They refunded my money in 20 days. I would definitely recommend this company

DO NOT BOOK THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. If I could leave less than one star, I would. Very unimpressed with customer service and not being able to access the BASIC SERVICES included in our rate for flight delays. I even called them "benefits" on the phone and was reminded that they weren't actually benefits but basic services. Also these "services" are actually operated through a third party so I don't even know what Tugo does. Very convoluted, was difficult to contact the customer services agent, had to wait for call backs each time. Only the hospital line is 24hr, we tried to call early in the morning and did not get through, then boarded our 8hr flight so a call back would not have even been possible. The website would not work for us, and even this issue needs to be submitted to the IT department for proof. The agent then had the audacity to try to lecture me about doing things last minute, as though I had any control over flight delays and being able to predict them in advance? I'm just grateful we only had to argue about the flight delay insurance, and not actually deal with anything serious. The "instant cash deposit" is a farce, we have to submit all emails and proof of delays, including our boarding passes, only to MAYBE get reimbursed in 6-8 weeks. Book literally any other travel insurance company and you will be happier than we are.

Driving into Palm Springs I started feeling chest pain. It got progressively worse so we called our insurance provider ToGo for advice. The representative was very specific, and knowledgeable. We went into the hospital to get medical attention. ToGo took care of all expenses incurred for the three day hospital stay. They kept in touch. Made us feel secure. Couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you ToGo!! Highly recommended!!

I recently cracked a bone in my ankle while away in Portugal and Spain hiking the Camino. When I returned home I put in a claim and submitted my receipts for medical visit, X-rays, brace and medication. The process was simple and the claim was paid out promptly. Thank you, TuGO.

J'ai été dans un tout inclus en mars 2022 en République Dominicaine et j' ai attrapé la covid mëme si toutes les mesures sanitaires étaient appliquées .J' avais mëme 3 vaccins.Dans mon désarrois ,j' ai téléphoné Chez Tugo,la personne qui m' a répondu m' a rassurée,et à mon retour,j' ai rempli les formules de remboursement avec factures à l' appui.et j' ai été remboursé dans un délai très raisonnable .Je remercie Tugo pour leur efficacité .

I had a serious heart attack in Florida requiring EMS to hospital and stent surgery. ToGo travel insurance was five star all the way from providing instructions to me, taking over negotiations for hospital, doctors fees and ambulance etc. They kept me in the loop throughout and were professional in all regards. I recommend this travel insurance without any reservations. William Meyer - Burlington Ontario

I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on the 17th hole playing golf in Arizona . My wife called 911 . When the paramedics arrived at the golf course, my wife called tugo. They took my policy number and asked where they were going to take me At this time the ambulance driver stated they were going to airlift me by helicopter to an unknown hospital at this time. The tugo representative said to call back when they knew which hospital they were going to take me to. When they had the name of the hospital my wife called tugo again. They said they would call ahead and let them know my insurance particulars and other pertinent information about me , as to not slow down the admissions process The flight took approximately 1and a half hours I was in icu for 2 days and 3 days on the ward. It was decided to air ambulance me home to Canada Tugo made all the arrangements for the flight back to Canada Our son flew down to make arrangements for him to return our car . We never received any bills for my flights or stay in hospital. Tugo took care of everything Including our son returning our vehicle home Tugo made a very stressful time much easier to deal with. My wife and I are very grateful for the prompt and caring way we were dealt with . Thanks

I purchased travel insurance for when my son came to Canada last Christmas. On the last day of the insurance coverage we were scheduled to leave Canada and go to Costa Rica. Due to severe weather conditions, our flight was canceled and we were sent home to try again the next day. That next day, uninsured, my son slipped and fell in the shower and had to go to emergency to get medical help. We were billed for services received, however outside the insured dates. I reached out to Tugo insurance for help and they were willing to help and requested Air Canada to send a written confirmation as a statement, Which they never did respond to me, But Tugo insurance accepted my claim, and generously paid out to us, and covered the cost. We sincerely thank you for such wonderful service to us the public. I definitely will be talking about you in a very positive light. My advice to other travelers is to extend your insurance coverage by a few days just in case there are delays. It would be well worth it.
